This resort is one of the best and most unique we have stayed in during our three month tour of SE Asia. We both felt the hotel should be at least 4 star (not 3) based on its facilities and quality of service.

Make no mistake, this is the best resort in Loboc and I’m looking forward to return in a couple of years as they have some exciting plans for further development.

Pros
The staff are so happy to work here and this rubs off on the guests. Special mention to Ryan and Cham who made my birthday stay memorable - they were fantastic and good fun!
Beautiful wooden cabins set in idyllic forest/jungle surroundings. A very unique way to spend your stay in Loboc.
Fire fly tour was magical!
Two swimming pools clean and right in the river
River side restaurant and bar was ace
Front desk staff go out of their way to resolve any queries or problems you have.
Great value for money
Lots of activities on offer to guests (of course for a cost!)
Tuk tuk can take you down to the other restaurants for only 50 pesos one way

Cons
Only a choice of two wines, however understand the are in the process of expanding this so more of a non-issue.
There are a lot of roosters and stray dogs in the area which can cause issues of noise in the early hours if you are a light sleeper. Luckily I had ear plugs which resolved the issue.

Family of 5 from the US spent 2 nights in Loboc, as part of week on Bohol. Loboc River Resort is a warm, friendly and comfortable resort, with a wonderful restaurant, delightful staff, large swimming pool and beautiful grounds, perfect for nature walks and relaxation. The highlight is the river location, which provides immediate access to river cruises (which we did) and paddleboarding and fishing (which we will do next time). The staff helped arrange an exciting night-time cruise to see the fireflies (we enjoyed the dark, mysterious ride up the river as much as we did seeing the trees "on fire" with fireflies), as well as a day tour to see the tarsier monkeys (so cute!) and Chocolate Hills (a life-long wish fulfilled). The lodge is woven into the marsh, with a boardwalk guiding you to the rooms. Depending on the tide, you either see the brackish river below or the muddy roots of native trees and beautiful flowering plants. We were well cared for by the kind and attentive staff, especially the kitchen workers who noticed our son's retainer he had left on the breakfast table, and kept it safe until we returned. Overall, Loboc River Resort is a wonderful getaway with a perfect riverside location and a great base to jump off to see all that the center of Bohol has to offer.

The Loboc River Resort is a simple set up, in a nice location staffed by really friendly people. My room, near the dining area, was basic but perfectly adequate.

Breakfasts and the couple of evening meals I had were okay. Oddly, it was necessary to choose what you wanted from breakfast each evening prior and say at what time you wanted it.

I saw the fireflies, did SUP on the river and the resort organised scooter hire for me to ride to the Chocolate Hills and Tarsiers conservancy. There is a great circuit walk along the river to Loboc town and back the other side.

I must say I really enjoyed staying here, precisely because of it’s simplicity, friendliness and terrific value. Thumbs up for Bohol too, having just come from the dreadful Boracay.

I was in awe the moment we set foot at Loboc River Resort. Being away from Philippines due to the pandemic, I crave for authenticity and that feel-at-home vibe. Lobor River Resort is the best place to experience both.

Arriving there, we were met but a challenging flood but that did not stop them from providing an amazing experience. They have everything figured out ahead of time. Since smaller cars can’t go inside the hotel premises when the water is high, they have a tricycle waiting for you! Not all will like that idea, but I surely enjoy a short trip riding that. The receptionists were very apologetic and explained to us why this occur.

Our room is beautiful, facing the Loboc River feels surreal. The water is muddy because of the rain but still immaculate every time we have our coffee time in the morning. Aside from a spacious balcony where you can do yoga and exercises without having any obstruction. The housekeeping team is superb in maintaining the cleanliness of our room. Lito has been quick and even gave tips to my mom on how to arrange the bed.

The food in this place hits home. Simple and humble, the flavors are always a treat. The staff in Venia’s kitchen are lovely. They are the very core of this restaurant. I will never forget the camote and ube ice cream, the beautifully presented halo-halo and the mouthwatering lechon kawali. Not a single dish can be faulted during our stay and to top it all, they always give us complimentary dessert for breakfast!

The receptionists were amazing and very friendly. I could not even thank them enough for arranging everything for us, we did not have any difficulty moving around Loboc or doing some activities. It was so much fun to be in LRR, this place needs to skyrocket!

Do not be mislead by its unassuming facade. Nestled beside a placid river, Loboc River Resort offers 5 star accommodation within a scenic environment. It serves Boholano cuisine for the nostalgic or the adventurous . Most of all, the service is friendly, efficient yet unobtrusive. It's like communing with nature in luxury and style. Loboc River Resort truly represents the Boholano nature - unassuming yet rich in natural elegance and hospitality. The experience just blew me away!

Photos just don’t do this place justice! The room was HUGE, everything was very clean, and we used the large outdoor bathtub each day to relax on our porch and take in the view!

The property is so well maintained and taken care of by the staff. The walking trails and gardens are gorgeous! An infinity pool dropping off into the jungle, with a waterfall, lounge chairs, and the perfect temperature.

The restaurant is amazing! Some of our favorites were the Fried Kangkong (YUM!), the spicy fish in coconut, and the vegetable curry. Pat, Andy, Ryan, and the ladies at the bar were all wonderful hosts.

Joanne at the front desk was so lovely, and took care of all our needs. She arranged the most incredible private massages in our room with Mila and Geneieva (best massage ever) and also set up our day tour.

Jose, our driver and tour guide, gave us the best experience seeing the island! We went everywhere from the Tarsier Sanctuary, Mahogany Forest, Chocolate Hills (ATV ride and lookout points are worth it!) as well as the floating restaurant for lunch. He was friendly and knowledgeable and even helped us on a hunt for an ATM when we ran out of cash. Thank you Jose!

One of our favorite resort features was the Monkey Island! The resort rescued a group of monkeys and they feed them every day at 4:30 and you can watch. So cool!

If you’re looking to experience something different, eat local food, meet great people, and not be swarmed by tons of other tourists - this is the place! Thank you!!

Stayed for 4 nights in a forest view room.
So much wildlife around the resort. Saw chickens, water buffalo, monkeys to name a few.
We did the stand up paddle boarding (our first time) and loved it! Excellent guide with us. Saw fish, komodo dragon and iguana.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Kitchen restaurant staff were very accommodating with my dietary requirements. They made me a gluten free and dairy free breakfast lunch and dinner every day. I got to try lots of different meals as they were really supportive sharing the ingredients of meals and helping me select which I could try. They even have a vegan menu with gluten free vegan ice cream! First ice cream I've been able to eat on my trip! Made with coconut milk - flavours are chocolate, coconut and mango.
This place is so worth a visit if you want to break up any beach time and experience river life.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Booked our tour thru the hotel. the driver was very informative during the tour and was very accommodating. I love that they offer to book tours and have different activities for guests to enjoy. We stayed at a room with a river view, however, the view looked more like we were in the forest with a little view of the river because the trees were not that well maintained. Nevertheless, the resort gave great service. Breakfast was good and other food they offered on the menu were also good just wished the menu catered to more filipino food choices to match the feels of the resort.

Amazing amazing amazing! We did not want to leave. We loved every moment of our stay here. The staff was kind and helpful throughout our stay. The food was to die for. The surroundings were gorgeous. And the activities were outstanding. The monkey feeding (free) is fun and we didn’t miss it the whole time we were there, the kayaking was perfect (a small fee), the lighting bugs were magical (a small fee), and the pool was so calming. The food was amazing and we enjoyed eating our meals here (very reasonably priced). They arranged transportation for us and it was very nice, we typically try to make our way to places on our own and the cheapest way possible but Bohol appears to have limited cabs available and a trike would not be a good option for reaching the resort. We can’t wait to come back!

Loboc river front resort(Premier River View room)
This is a very interesting resort on the Loboc River. We booked a large river front cabin that had a huge balcony which was lovely to sit on and watch boats go by or shelter under during the occasional storm. The resort was not very busy at the time and most tourists appeared to be out for the day so we had the main large pool to ourselves. They don’t have a swim up bar at the pool but they do have a phone nearby that you can use to arrange drinks to be delivered.
Food and drinks were relatively cheap in the open air riverfront restaurant.
The staff service was excellent. The floating Restaurant is worth doing. It’s a short tricycle ride up the road.
