On the Normandy coast, facing the charming fishing harbor of Grandcamp-Maisy, Les Isles de Sola is a superb starting point to discover the D-Day beaches and enjoy the treasures of Calvados. Recently performed in respect of Norman architecture, it enjoys a prime location on the harbor. Only a few meters from the beaches and the sailing school, this beautiful residential complex of only 3 floors has a pool, open from mid-April to September. An ideal situation for tonic holidays, tourism or idleness according to the desires of each. The 94 fully equipped apartments of Grandcamp-Maisy residence have a complete kitchenette (hotplates, microwave, coffee maker) with a TV, double beds, a sofa you have ... just open your bags and enjoy Grandcamp-Maisy, pretty resort that borders the Channel. Wonderful property in the center of everything. Staff extremely friendly and helpful and the views from the harbor across the street were incredible. You can be anywhere in the DDAY beaches area within 10-15 minutes.

A bit disappointing - no access to balcony, this wasnt advised on the website and only basic facilities in the room - some tea and coffee would have been nice. Service was good, facilities were average

Beween the beaches of Omaha and Utah, with Point du Hoc in immediate vicinity, decent quality, fairly priced. Large rooms, well equipped, separate living room, chambers, bathroom. Small but complete kitchenette.

Arrived at 1930 with no way to enter complex - there is a gate across the road. Had to await another guest (10 minutes later) to open main gate to drive car in. No-one on reception though my reservation said it was open till 2000. Emailed and rang the numbers for assistance but got no reply - just went to voicemail (and I received no calls or emails later so emergency telephone numbers are useless). No idea what to do and thinking of looking elsewhere for another hotel. Then after 40 minutes another guest arrived and we found keys in what looked like a locked safety box outside reception - there were half a dozen envelopes with names on in the box. Finally made it to room. Still no idea what the code was for the gate for the car - not written on any of the documents (to leave the gates opened automatically). Two codes given for the pedestrian access - one worked 1445A. Clearly there needs to be more information about people arriving after the reception closes and also the 2000 closing time on the reservation is clearly incorrect - reception at the hotel closes at 1900. A very stressful end to our day. All in all ensure you get to the hotel before 1900 to avoid the hassle we had. Room was spacious if a little worn in. Overall not a hotel I would recommend or look at using again.…

Quick check in. Paid extra to park securely, gates locked at 19.00. No welcome cleaning pack, all other appart hotels we have used, provided them. Wi-Fi rubbish, kept dropping out, this would be a problem for business/work. Kettle and filter coffee machine provided.
