This hotel is part of our Philippines and Indonesia tour. Newly opened hotel. Advantages: - modern, spacious rooms - Excellent cuisine - Good place for snorkeling - Due to low tide, suitable for families with small children - In the immediate vicinity, the possibility of eating in other restaurants and the possibility of buying souvenirs Disadvantages: - there is currently construction going on in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, which causes noise during the day - If you want to swim in the sea, it is not possible due to low tide - Some rooms facing the street, can be noisier Our tip: Try the Sisig tartare in the hotel restaurant.

This is our first time staying at Modala beach resort and it was amazing. Beach view is my favorite part, witnessed the beautiful sunset while having a good coffee is a 👍🏻 for me. Our room is very clean, the staffs are nice and the food was great. Me and my bf planning to stay again there soon!

It should have been 5 stars. However, their reservation system is flawed. I read in one of the reviews here that he did not get the rooms that he originally reserved, which is exactly what happened to us 3 months ago. I guess the resort did not learn from that experience. We booked 3 ocean view rooms 4 months before our scheduled arrival. We wanted to get the best rooms for maximum enjoyment. We arrived at the resort around 8pm. The front desk informed us in a very casual manner that they had a system glitch and we lost one of our rooms. We will be transferred to one of the regular rooms (no view) but we will be transferred to the original room the following day. I asked the front desk if i can talk to the manager but i was told that he was off duty. I told them that their offer was unacceptable. I asked them what they can give as a form of compensation and suggested that they should give us at least 2 of the smaller rooms. Eventually, the operations manager came out, apologized to us and offered to give 2 complimentary massages. They also agreed to provide us an extra room. They should have a standard operating procedure for cases like this and not wait for guests to be agitated and feel cheated. This incident almost ruined the vacation. Good thing that other positives (big nice rooms, strong water pressure, nice breakfast and majestic view of the sea) made up for the 1st day issue.…

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious, the scenery was beautiful, and we were able to spend a relaxing time. All the staff were friendly and had nice smiles. We are very satisfied with the photo shoot as he took the best photos in a short amount of time. Aljun photographer was veryyy nice. Despite booking two Lantaw Sunset View rooms, the check-in team assigned me a panoramic view room without any mention. Even though I sent an e-mail saying that I was going with my family, we went to separate rooms!! When I checked the room and protested, he made an excuse to give me a room close to it. Even though you've assigned two rooms diagonally across the hall!! In the case of the panorama room, it was really the worst. The excuse of giving the worst room without privacy if you don't have a curtain that shows the car coming up was really ridiculous, and there was no apology for changing the reservation at will. I made a reservation last year because I had such a good memory, but it was so disappointing, and it was hard to see smiles or any greetings on the staff's faces. Also, I didn't receive a letter to evaluate Modala Resort before checkout. In addition, even though three people stayed in a room with added money, there were always two towels or emanatee settings, so I had to call housekeeping. Later, we left a message with a tip that we booked '3 people' before coming to the right towels and eminence. It's such a mess how to manage reservations. If this is not fixed, Modalarizot will never stay again.…

This was our second time visiting Modala Beach Resort. The service is superb. Staff are always attentive to our needs may it be transportation, pool needs, ordering food, or even offering assistance to our kids. The ambiance starting from the reception is luxury. Staff are so professional and courteous. Did I mention that their breakfast buffet is amazing? The moment you enter their dining hall, you’ll be greeted by staff and first class service. The food selection is bountiful. All cravings satisfied. Besides beach and resort amenities, we had fun participating events at their MoadTo strip mall open mic and sang our hearts out with other guests and mall visitors as our audience. So long KTV! The laughters that was shared and the over-all experience was awesome. Before I forget, we were lucky to be provided by a photoshoot that is complimentary to our 3 room booking. Here’s a Special shout out to our photographer Rudy Ann Apit Beltran who braved the scorching sun with us and was really accommodating with our requests during the photoshoot. We were blessed by her skills and given the opportunity to make memories staying with Modala Beach Resort. A highlight indeed to our vacation in Panglao, Bohol. As a family of four, we spent several days in this beautiful complex in October. Modala Beach Resort is located on a white, flat private beach overlooking the islands of Cebu and Bohol. The beach section and the hotel promenade, on whose terrace the restaurant is located, are beautifully planted and illuminated. The design and interior design of the hotel are very modern, friendly and spacious. Some areas, such as the rooms, the lobby and the restaurant, could easily be certified five stars. The breakfast buffet was excellent and had a very well thought out excellent selection. We would like to thank the general manager Sean Ybanez and his warm-hearted team and wish you all the best from Germany!!!
