This hotel is in the western side of Panglao, the very quiet side of the island. It has good amenities and food is great. I like the pool and the terrace in each room. Very good view of the sea. The staff are great, too! The receptionist (the guy with braces) was nice and cute as well haha like a human doll. When you go out of the hotel, no other establishment is present, thus, you will have this provincial feel.
We spent a week here and it was awesome. Our room on the 3rd floor had great sea views and sunsets. The meals were well prepared and tasty. The staff were always smiling an happy to assist if they could. The owner, Alfred, has had the resort for 14 years and cares deeply about every aspect. We especially loved the grotto, a shallow hard bottom carve out from volcanic rock where filtered sea water circulates. Sweet basking conditions without the sweating of the lounge chairs by the pool.
We stayed in this hotel from June 2-5, the place is magnificent, all rooms are facing the ocean and provides good and romantic views. The hotel staff are dearly accommodating and the foods are good and we enjoyed our stay, BUT let me give my piece. 1. We are a group of 12, we waited for 30 minutes at the airport for the hotel transport but when he arrived we were surprised “it was a pick up utility vehicle that can only accommodate our luggages and 4 people” and the driver advised us to wait for his returned for another 30 minutes, In short we rented a van for our transport. 2. The room has no comforter blankets they used linens as blankets. 3. We have been in some part of the world but it is our first time to see a fixed concrete block at the middle of the shower room, we realy don’t know what is it for. It is a safety risk.…
We are snorkelers and global full-time travelers. The owner makes tasty specials on the menu, and is an interesting guy. Very quiet area, and never hear the next room. Straight on ocean view sunsets from your spacious balcony, if you can get off the nice linen and luxury bed. Best of all, the snorkeling was excellent (although the fish could be more), including 2 sanctuaries north and south. Take the free kayak if you want. You will be fortunate if you make it here!
I highly recommend this special boutique resort. I planned to stay on Panglao a while and took a few days checking out lots of resorts before deciding. I’m glad I chose this place. The rooms are all facing the ocean. Engineered well to make for a quiet and restful stay. Great sunset views and you can hear the ocean waves 24/7. The rooms are huge compared to all the other places I checked out. The owner (German/USA) and his wife (Filipina) are great hosts. He’s an excellent chef and between the two of them they make the best meals on the island. They both live on-site and keep the place spotless and are there for any questions and assistance whenever you need it. They provide an airport shuttle service to fit your schedule (free when I was there). The best part is the location….OMG. Perfect for swimming, snorkeling and freediving…crystal clear and healthy clean. They have all the gear and water toys available. I witnessed BD parties and weddings and the owners were great hosts to make the events special. I love this place and plan to return someday.…
Beautiful resort removed from the busy city. It's tranquil, and it's remote compared to hotels around Alona beach, where I've stayed before. This resort offers bicycles for rent, as well as scooters. The pool is refreshing and clean. On the hotel grounds behind the pool, they provide steps going down to some great snorkeling waters. It is rocky though, so not a traditional sandy beach. You can also use Kayaks the resort provides for free! The owner was very welcoming and polite, as well as all the wonderful employee's who work there. The have a free airport pickup from TAG. I will be staying here again soon!
My wife and I were so pleased with our choice of hotel. Away from the hustle and bustle we found in Alona Beach the hotel was everything we wanted - large clean room overlooking the ocean, friendly helpful staff, good meals served by the pool and great snorkelling reef teaming with fish. I hope we have the opportunity to visit again in the not too distant future.
The location is not great, and it’s kind of in middle of nowhere. Yes it’s next to the sea but there is no beach. The water is quite shadow and the sea bed is quite rough. I tired to swim but I gave up after I walked 10 feet out. We wanted to rent a kayak but we’re told that no kayak when tides are low. For three days we stayed, the tides were never high. Basically, the only activity we can do is swimming in the pool.
The resort is new one year old Location not in the city but near there is small shop Stuff very nice and helpful The room clean, wide, clean and good equipped viewing the sea Breakfast not bad continental Internet fast Swimming pool good size and clean Thank you for your hospitality
Unspoilt part of the Panglao island. The rooms are lovely and it’s a new resort that is being extended at the moment with works taking place next door. The views are amazing. The only downside is they only have one kayak which is free for the whole resort which has 16 rooms and they are lent out from 9 to 5 with a first come first served and it would be better if they were lent out for 2 hours at a time to compensate this.
