Aside from the ambience, food was really good. The staff was also accomodating and they gave their 100% customer service. I didn't expect to finish a whole meal since I'm not a heavy eater. Will definitely recommend to my other friends and family.

Comme a chaque fois que je viens a Bohol, l'accueil a Amihan est au top, rien a redire. Et belle surprise avec la réouverture du restaurant. A bientot! Salamat! As every time I come to Bohol, the welcoming of Amihan is perfect, nothing to complain about. And a nice surprise with the reopening of the restaurant. See you soon! Salamat!

Location: Our flight was cancelled because of the lockdown and we were stranded in Bohol. Initially we were staying in Loboc because we thought that it is a good base since we wanted to go to the waterfalls and further places like Anda. We were used to driving for 30mins to an hour just to eat in a restaurant or get some cash in the atm. Amihan is in a very convenient location (in the middle of everything). It is near alona beach, diving spots and resorts, restaurants, 7-11, and banks. I saw a review saying that the roads are rough here but it shouldn’t be a problem. We rented a vios car during our stay and we were fine. It is a very little rough road when you turn from the main highway which is usual in Bohol. We have been to roads that are rougher and longer (like in Anda and Candijay) and I assure you it’s not that rough and it is very short. Rooms and Internet Due to the pandemic they had to lower the prices so they can pay their staff. We were lucky to avail these rates especially we were stranded and we weren’t sure when the flights back to manila are going to resume. For the price I paid I didn’t expect much and I’m even willing to clean my own room for it. When we entered the room it was beyond my expectations. It was very spacious and even bigger than our direct pool access premium room in Henann. You also have a terrace in your room where you can hang your bathing suits to dry and it is a perfect hangout place where you can drink and snack because you get a view of the pool. The bathroom is huge too. The bed is very big and the sheets feels luxurious. I had zoom meetings and the internet is stable. There was a power shutdown during one of my meetings but the resort has a generator or something because I was able to go back to my meeting in no time. This resort is perfect if you want to stay longer in panglao to dive because it is very budget friendly. During our stay we got our freediving certification so we will drive early morning to go to the dive resort and come back in the afternoon to attend to our meetings. This is also perfect if you want to escape the lockdown in Manila or in your city and have that island life. Because we were so busy I forgot to take pictures but what you see online is exactly what you will get. The rooms are new and modern. I only took one video of the room so I can show my friends so I’m attaching some screenshots from that clip. This hotel is excellent and I recommend it to my family and friends. Facilities: Resort is well maintained. Pool is always clean, there are other entertainment like billiards as well. They have a bar. There are also a lot of sun loungers and umbrellas. They also have a jacuzzi and you are allowed to bring your own food.

Resort - Surprised & amazed me. Beyond expectation. Clean. Except dogs around. Like a private resort. Not crowded. Ambience is nice. Peaceful. Except sometimes di maiwasan maingay na guests din. Room -very spacious. I love it. From mattress, pillows & everything inside. Celebrated my bday there & i must say one of the places i can recommend. If hindi ka maarte. Bathroom is spacious too. Needs improvement sa bathroom cleanliness. Molds around the shower faucet & walls. Also the lightings. Napaka dim for me ng mga ilaw. Hair dryer & kettle is by request. But when we arrived, it’s already there. Staffs - Very accomodating & friendly. Credits to Ms. Jo Ann. Even late at night she patiently replies to my questions & queries. She even gave me the bigger room even na cancel yun 2 pax na additional ko dpat. You can bring foods & drinks no corkage. Can even cook at their kitchen. Grill also available. Can use the microwave at their kitchen. Lucky we met the French Owner. Maybe 10mins walk going to the Beach. My concern lng is for other guests to be aware, rough road going to the resort. I thought nga pangit yung place, but when we arrived it amaze me inside. But yun nga rough road. Kawawa ang lowered car like ours🤣 Sana mapansin ng brgy o municipality nila yun roads . Mabaho din sa road coz of stagnant waters or baha. Smelly xa. But overall for the resort 5⭐️

I know that this resort is not a 5-star resort but the service/staff is really disappointing. We checked in as a walk in since it was an unplanned outing with my younger brothers. Upon check in I asked the lady if they have iphone charger since my phone has really empty battery. The lady (staff) answered “We have but she (pointing the other lady staff) is still using it” then she replied “I will send it to your room once I’m done using it”. It’s the staff using it. So I patiently waiting until after 2 hours I went back to the reception and follow up but she again said “I’m not done using it”. So we decided to go to Alona to find a charger. And until check out they never offered me a charger or get back to me. My point is, you should not give false hope to your guests. You better say you don’t have rather than keeping us expecting for something that you will not do. It may be just a charger but you’re giving us inconvenience by waiting for nothing. And by that everything keeps me irritated. 2nd, their guy staff were using the pool table (billiards). We wanted to use it but we feel unsafe especially when no one sanitized it after using. and 3rd there was a cockroach inside our bathroom. This hotel/resort looks magnifique but there’s a lot of things you need to improve from your employees, service, and cleanliness. You might say you’re understaffed but there was 3 ladies sitting on the reception while we checked in and those guys who were playing billiards. I have the video of cockroach roaming around our bathroom while I was taking shower. Just disgusting though.

Response from FREDERIC FAUCHEREAU, Owner at Amihan Resort

Dear Guests, Well we are very surprised by your review and we feel that you have not been very fair. I talked to my staff and if indeed they acknowledged having discussed with you about the charger, never they promised you to let you borrow it. I want to make it clear, we don't provide extra chargers, especially I-phone for our guests. You were indeed walk in and you only paid your room 1,200 pesos a night. You can not expect at this price to have accessed to phone chargers. It was the personal charger of my staff and i can not force them to let it borrowed by the guest. With all respect madam, you should not expect too much. 1,200 pesos a night you had a big room, with private terrace, flat screen tv, split air-con, rain shower bathroom, free wifi access, free access to swimming pool and jacuzzis. Weren't you satisfied with those?? Regarding the billard table, i also checked with my staff and our CCTV, the people who were playing were filipino guests, not our staff who is of course forbidden to play if we have guests in the house, So once again, before making a fuss and false comments, please check your facts. Reviews like this can really hurt our business. We have been trying to make this work for over a year now. We lower our prices by 70% which allow low income filipino families to enjoy our facilities. And we thank them because they kept us afloat. We barely break-even at the moment but we work so our staff and their families can have a minimum income and survive. We feel very irritated by your review because you dont measure the consequences it can have. Finally, cleaning of the rooms have always been our priority and you can not say your room was not cleaned. Especially the bathrooms. So the presence of that cockroach was not due to lack of cleaning. It just happens in tropical countries. Next time, think before posting a review . Regards The management

My husband & I stumbled upon Amihan’s restaurant during our stay at Anda as there aren’t a ton of options & we’re blown away by the ambiance, serving spirit, & delicious food here at Amihan! The tuna steak was especially remarkable cooked to perfection. The waitresses were so friendly & happy to serve! We loved it so much we came back a second night. Thank you so much to the lovely staff of people who work there!! We’ll be back when we return again to Anda! -Gina & Lawrence

A group of us stayed for three nites. All of us loved the location and the accomodation, room was great with nice bed and plenty of room. The staff are amazing and so friendly. The breakfast thats included in the cost is amazing with a great selection. We spent our down time enjoying the happy hour by the pool before heading into town for the nite. Town is only a short walk and Alone beach an even shorter walk.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Amihan resort, mainly for the following reasons: ⁃ Fast internet; ⁃ Very big room and bathroom; ⁃ Comfortable bed; ⁃ Nice pool and pool area, open till late (9:30pm); ⁃ Cheap and convenient laundry service; ⁃ Easy booking of activities and taxi; ⁃ Nice sandwich (although maybe too little...) to take away instead of breakfast at the hotel; ⁃ Nice breakfast offer à la carte (our best breakfast in the Philippines). It was hard to think about something negative, but the following items could need improvement: ⁃ Service at the bar - the waiter is not the friendliest and quickest person... ⁃ When coming back to the resort in the evening, the dog barking at you can be quite scary.... I would definitely go back there (my favourite accommodation in the Philippine so far), and would recommend it to anybody.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Rooms are really large with lots of tv channels to cater for international visitors. Hotel is located just on the edge of the town. The walk down to it is extremely dark which is its really only negative. Lights need to be installed. Would not like to be walking down to the building on my own. Torch on the phone is required to see where you’re going. Food in the hotel is really good, a little greater selection for breakfast would be nice but can’t fault the taste. Staff are really nice and friendly.
