Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.

Stayed here for around 7 nights altogether and wish i could have stayed for longer! Staff were very helpful, room was clean and well kept. Only comment is street noise can be an issue but that stops at around 11pm so wasn't a massive issue. Restaurant next door is really nice

It is our great honour to receive such a lovely message on our hotel! Thank you very much! As you kindly mentioned, there is a lively street which is full of casual restaurants and people enjoy drinking eating (and chatting with friends!) right bottom of our hotel. We hope it didn't bother after 11pm with the window closed so that you could rest. Please do come back again and stay with us! You will enjoy so many aspects of the four seasons in Tokyo, especially in Asakusa, one of the most famous and historical area. It must have been so different here from those big city areas with sky scrapers and high-tech areas such as Shinjuku and Shibuya which also have unique characters of Japan culture. Hope you found both interesting and attractive. Thank you again for choosing our hotel and taking your time to leave your comment here. We look forward to welcoming you again very soon. Best regards, Head of B:CONTE ASAKUSA Rie Ida

This place was superb. Great and personable staff (especially Mey from Phnom Penh), located in a cool part of Tokyo with convenient underground stations nearby. Rooms are comfy and have everything needed for a short or extended stay. I will definitely be returning.
