Great for walkers

Excellent location found along a little side street in the heart of Shibuya. Surrounded by an overwhelming number of restaurants and entertainment. Just a few minutes' walk to the famous Shibuya Crossing and very near the subway which is really easy to navigate. The rooms are very small, which is typical for this country, however, we didn't mind because we were out and about all day. The bathroom is a glass enclosure just beside the bed which I could see may make sharing a little uncomfortable. There is no room service but there is an abundance of food and drink along the street. Room cleaning is either every day or every third day which was not properly explained. We opted for every third day thinking we would be charged extra for every day. We would stay here again.

Very convenient location! A short walk from the West Exit of Shibuya Station. Very courteous front desk staff. We arrived 45 minutes early and check-in time was at 2pm, but they graciously let us leave our luggage with them while we went back out to explore the department stores nearby. The hotel does shows its age, but the comfort/double room was very clean, the bathroom had the necessary toiletries that travellers may have forgotten to bring with them, clean fluffy towels and water pressure was just right. The complimentary bottled water was a nice touch, instant coffee set and water heater came in handy as well. Slight noise expected of a facility right next to a train station, but tolerable and after a nice hot shower it was easy to fall asleep on the comfortable bed after a long, fun-filed day around Harajuko and Shibuya.

Good location, close to Shibuya Scramble transport and shops. 10 minutes from station. Small room single occupancy but with comfortable double bed. Shower with a range of toiletries. Shower was glass and open to the bedroom. You could pull the shower curtain round.Towels, hairdryer, sleepwear, slippers included. Kettle and tea or coffee in the room or at reception. Shame about the reception staff

The location is nothing to shout about. It may look close to the JR station on the map but you need to navigate around the overhead bridges and a short uphill walk to the hotel. Not very ideal with elderly with suitcases or when its cold and rainy and you just wanna get back to your hotel quick.
The room is clean and size is good, compared to other hotels in Japan (we took the king room). You can fit 2 or 3 large size suitcases. The bath had a good sized bathtub and shower - water pressure was great.
However, the reason i rated this hotel low (aside from the location), they used centralised air conditioning and during autumn, they switched off the air con function in the rooms and you could only have heating or fan options on. the room got stuffy and all the help they had for us was just to tell us to open the windows. We had really bad sleep as it was hot all night even with the windows open (which is odd as temps were at 8 degrees in autumn).

We were looking for a close to the action hotel as this was our first time in Shibuya and did not know this part of Tokyo.
The service from the Granbell team was accommodating. We had to do a room change, and they were understanding, as well as a late night bed refresh as we were surprised with a stain on the mattress/sheets. The front desk agent who helped with the bed refresh was so nice, and apologetic of the situation.
The rooms are out-dated and could use some touchups(scratches on the floors/walls, dust on the fans, etc.). We stayed in the "suite" top floor(1303) and it still needed some TLC. The rooms provided nice toiletries. We did not eat at the second floor restaurant(wagyu teppanyaki) or the first floor restaurant, but both looked fairly good even for foodies.
Location is really great, close to scramble, other restaurants and shopping. The neighborhood is on the more quiet side of the crossing and Im glad we stayed over here(would recommend this neighborhood again). The super close yakatori's aren't great and may tell no to foreigners.
I would recommend this hotel for solo travelers, stag/hen parties or young couples who are looking truly just for a place to crash after a long day sight seeing/going out.

A nice little hotel tucked away in the middle of a relatively quiet side street in Shibuya. Very close to the Scramble Crossing and excellent shopping and dining choices. After staying in Shinjuku on my Japan trips I thought I would mix it up and in doing so found this gem of a hotel in Shibuya. I will stay again on future visits as the staff was very helpful if somewhat limited in English and housekeeping seemed on point. As a foot note: The entrance was kinda cavelike and had the strangest rotating door I have ever seen and I liked that for some reason.

Excellent option for those looking for a well-located hotel in Tokyo. Close to Shibuya Station and the most famous intersection in the world. The hotel offers very spacious rooms for Japanese standards. We stayed at the hotel twice: the first time the room was very large, with a bathtub and shower. The second one was much smaller, but as it was just one night we didn't have any problems. But choose the bigger rooms. We didn't have breakfast so we can't comment. Offers toothbrush and other facilities.

And a cute thznk love and big love to the girls who made our room.💋💋The pool is great but it can be grood to write in English or French how to manage inside.
Shibuya changes a lot during 4 years and the new Jr, bus and metro stations are now Inside a big mall. It is great. Always the best hotel in Tokyo and Shibuya

Hotel is very close to shibuya train station and crossing! Very clean rooms and comfortable stay. Helpful staff. But they should speak at least a bit english because they direct you different locations where you don’t ask. We stayed 2 times during our Japan trip. In second stay we asked for late check out just for more 20 or 30 mins but they directly wanted to charge it. It was not nice the way we got answer. It could be nice gesture to help. Apart from that very good location and surrounded with restaurants shopping centers.

Couple in our 50's from Australia visited for our first Japan trip. First hotel in Japan and this well travelled couple was out of our comfort zone. We will be telling people that Shibuya scramble is not a good starting point to adjust lol. We didn't realise that we could have booked breakfast, so didn't get any for our whole stay. We used the huge supermarket across the road in the new shops. Here is what we liked: Central to transport, restaurants that we found later that were popular and close, quiet rooms & hotel overall, comfortble room of a reasonable size, very clean & in good repair. What was not great: concierge didn't seem to understand our requests in English, (sadly we do not grasp Japanese), found our own coin laundry which was 6 mins walk away, asked for different pillows and there were no other options. Didn't use the restaurant, as it's a steak restaurant and thats the high end food in Japan. Id stay here again, but it's definately 3 star.
