I've stayed in the Cerulean hotel twice during my recent travels in Japan. Its by far the best hotel you'd get in Tokyo. great location, walking distance form Multiple cafes, restaurants and places to visit. nice breakfast, even though I preferred to explore cafes instead very lovely bar /restaurant at the top of the building. very kind, pleasant and professional staff, I will return for sure.
Best location, European plan, Nice Restaurants indoors and most important, is 5 minutes walking distance away from the Shibuya Crossing Starbucks which connects to the subway station tha goes everywhere from there. There is also Hachiko's Statue, great hotel for it's price and privilege.
If you’re looking for a clean and comfy place, with the ease of travelling to all the tourist locations in Japan, look no further. Cerulean is located in Shibuya (prime area for shopping) and has many eating choices. It is also 5mins walk away from Shibuya station which will link you to the rest of the areas. The hotel is clean and the staff speaks good English. If you feel like chilling with a drink, cerulean hotel has a tower bar that oversees the central buzzing area in Shibuya. Overall, highly recommended.
We first booked this hotel in 2020. We were forced to cancel our trip to Japan due to Covid. All of the other 5 hotels we booked instantly refunded us, or offered us 125% credit. Cerulean Tower said we will have a credit for 1 year. When the 1 year was approaching, Covid was still not finished and Cerulean continued to tell us we have to use our credit or lose it. They finally extended the voucher, but I had to go through this 3 more times of them refusing to refund our stay. Finally they refunded our stay in 2022. Regrettably, we decided to rebook with them for our upcoming trip in March. After realizing we need to add 1 additional night to our stay, I tried emailing Cerulean. I have now emailed them 5 times over 3 weeks with no response. When I log into their website, it says "no reservations" under the reservations tab. Luckily iPrefer (the rewards program) does answer the phone. However, they tell me there is no availability for the additional night. I see plenty of availability on the Cerulean website, the iPrefer website, Orbitz etc. I called back and now they say they do have availability, just not in the room we booked. This, along with the recent reviews of terrible customer service, makes me VERY worried about our upcoming stay. My reservation is a "no refund no changes reservation" (in the covid age this is ridiculous in itself) otherwise I would cancel our stay in a heart beat. Will you have electricity? Will the fitness center be open? Will anyone help us with anything? Zero help, Zero responses, no understanding the Covid times, nothing from them.…
Terrible stay! Upon arrival we were notified all the restaurants were closed, the spa and fitness centre were closed and shockingly the power would be out for a day. We booked three months before travelling and had no notification in advance. Imagine staying in a 5 start hotel and having the lights go off while you are in the shower, having no air in the room, no charge for your devices and no way to blow dry your hair. And on top of that the hotel is refusing to offer any compensation.
We are a family of 3 staying in a corner king room on the 29th floor for 4 nights on 11th Jan 2023. The room is large and the view of Shibuya is phenomenal. The staffs are helpful and polite with a very keen attitude. The house cleaning is also done very timely and orderly. What really impressed me is that we had a minor accident with our kid. I called room service and the night service manager appeared within 5 minutes. I requested for ambulance to send my kid to hospital. I couldn't speak Japan but his English is very good. He help to arrange the ambulance and was calming all of us and joke with the kid at the same time. 10 minutes later and ambulance appeared. We managed to sort out everything smoothly. I am thankful to the night service manager for giving us the timely help needed.…
checked in the hotel with 1 king size bed but we are family of 4. asked to change to a bigger super king bed but its not available. so my son hv to sleep in sofa. nevermind. after 1st night that we have all settle down, the manager ask us to change room, mentioned that we are too noisy and 1 floor below complained. not sure is it the guest below have no noise tolerant. because we also heard noisy from above. hence, the hotel got a poor sound insulation. and we have to pack all our 4 person things again to move to another room. Overall, we have an unpleasant stay in this hotel. won't book this hotel again. and advise if you are family group, this hotel is not suitable.
A fantastic hotel with outstanding views and coutious and helpful staff. Very good room size and comfy beds. Location is close to Shibuya Station and there are many places near by for food and drink. My experience at this hotel was nothing but positive and want to stay again if I revisit.
The room was luxurious, I think the photos don't really do it justice. It's a bit on the pricey side but we think it was totally worth it. We got a bit unlucky and got allocated on the 19th floor which is their lowest floor so the view down was a bit obstructed by the shape of the building. But overall it was a wonderful stay, highly recommended.
Location is amazing, close to Shibuya without all the noise and crowd. Even though I had a standard room, it feels spacious and roomy. Staff is very warm, friendly and proactively assists, makes me feel very welcomed.
