This stylishly designed hotel is part of Shibuya Stream, a large complex with excellent transit access that includes a direct connection to Shibuya Station. The public area on the fourth floor is a casual space integrated with the lobby lounge and the Torrent restaurant. Floors nine through thirteen offer stylish, functional guest rooms with contemporary decor based on a “vintage modern” concept.

Our group of 4 girlfriends spent 4 nights in Tokyo at the end of March to enjoy the Sakura season. We picked Shibuya Stream Excel Hotel based on numerous good reviews across the Web and were not disappointed. It is a modern hotel conveniently located in Shibuya, just steps away from tons of shopping, restaurants, and the Shibuya subway station, which provides easy access to Narita airport and other parts of Tokyo. Our two superior twin rooms were comfortable, spotless, and spacious. We especially enjoyed the complimentary face masks provided daily near the front desk. Since we booked the rooms far in advance (almost 7 months), our room rates were fairly reasonable. We highly recommend staying here, especially if you can get a good rate by booking far in advance.

This is a great hotel, located next to the Shibuya train station. The room was comfortable and cozy. The staff was very helpful and courteous. I slept great and the amenities were nice. I would stay here again--that's probably my best compliment.

Travelled as 2 adults and a 3yo. Booked a superior corner twin room - same level as the mini gym. We booked this for their location and reviews, located right above Shibuya station, close by restaurants and shops. (next to Shibuya sky via the bridge). This was really helpful for us as we used the pram out and had access to lifts/elevators etc. Short distance to Shibuya Crossing.
Large and spacious, lots of space to move around with 2 large luggage, carry-ons, backpacks and occasionally we had the pram open. The bed was more than enough for the 3 of us. The views were amazing on both daytime and night. Overall enjoyed our stay. Amenities all included.
The only thing we didnt like is how there was no hooks or bars for us to hang our towels. We used the extra hangers for our jackets and coats, as it was still cold. We also felt the toilet and bath are not to the standard of the room and need to be renovated for the price that is being asked for. Overall the room (and views) would be 5/5 but toilet/bathroom area is 3/5, it could be better.
We also appreciated the kitchenette, laundry and water refill station which we used a lot. They also offered a free taxi to Cerulean for the Airport Bus.

The hotel is in a good location and the building is new.
However, the rooms are small for what you pay for and the curtains are bad, so if you are a light sleeper, you will be woken up early Also, the hotel is above a shopping/restaurant complex, which closes at 11 pm. Which means that if you stay up past that time, you will have a hard time getting to your room! I had a verbal confrontation with the security guards late at night because I was just trying to get into my hotel room and they would not let me! Will never stay here again...

This was my first trip to Tokyo and found the Shibuya Stream Excel Hotel Tokyo just by chance.
I was going there first to then meet my husband after his trip to the snow.
The hotel was easy to find after catching public transport to the hotel from Haneda Airport.
The hotel is in a prime location with so much shopping, restaurants and even the Shibuya Scramble Crossing close by. It is also close to sight seeing locations.
The hotel itself is really nicely appointed. We stayed in the Standard Double Room which was really lovely with an amazing view and all the amenities you could want. Though It was small for two grown men. Being this is Tokyo though, it is to be expected.
The hotel offered night wear, lots of bathroom amenities as well as quality areas such as a washing and ironing room, drinks room, and a room to prepare and cook food. I especially liked the bathroom that was a wet room style with a big bath and an excellent shower.
The staff were probably the only down fall, We were lucky to find a trainee who had better English than most to assist us, but when wanting recommendations or bookings made for local restaurants we were told quite bluntly that they don't do that. It is a basic function of a hotel to know its area and to offer this type of thing and maybe something they could work on in the future.
Bar & Dining TORRENT is downstairs available for breakfast which offered a really lovely buffet style breakfast.
There is also a gorgeous French style bakery, and coffee shops if you need a early morning pick me up.
That is one of the best things about this hotel was the availability of food and drinks around it and close by.
One of the most unique and fun additions is the ability to have some of your requests (we needed scissors) delivered to your room by a robot!
All in all the hotel was a really good choice and I would definitely return on my next trip to Shibuya, Tokyo.

To find the hotel, enter the Shibuya Stream building and take the yellow elevators to 4F.
We really enjoyed our 43m^2 corner room. It was a special occasion for us and worth the cost.
The situation of this hotel in Shibuya is excellent for visitors. Google has a work office in the same building complex. The building is adjacent to a shopping center "Shibuya Scramble Square" where they have a coffee bar with canelés de Bordeaux stuffed with various fillings, on 5F, and a good food court on 12F & 13F. Just beneath the hotel entrance on 2F is a sort of fake "street" with a number of Japanese and European restaurants.
Down at the street level is an actual Shibuya stream... with some ducks if you're lucky, and a laser show in the evenings from about 4PM - 11PM. I also liked the ramen bar Fuji Soba on the street in front, they opened at 5AM.
In the hotel, they have a DIY shoe-shine workshop on 10F, two laundry machines on 12F, and a kitchen for general use on 13F. I thought it was a nice touch to have a kitchen where we can throw away any smelly rubbish, wash our hands or sit down together at the table. In case someone is still asleep in the room.

Amazing location, connected to Shibuya station, and the rooms have good views. The breakfast is superb- real butter croissants, properly made omelettes cooked to order, and a great deal especially if you purchase as part of a booking package.
There is a coin laundry (only one washer and one dryer, so plan accordingly,) which is rare for a hotel of this category. Most rooms are smaller than a large tourist hotel, but larger than typical Japanese business hotel.
There are a bunch of restaurants downstairs. I recommend the donabe-gohan teishoku restaurant, and there are countless others within easy walking distance.

We stayed at the hotel over the new year period and was the first accommodation of our 3 week trip. We absolutely peaked with this hotel, it was the perfect hotel for us. From the minute we entered Reception we knew we would love the hotel. The location is perfect and close to public transport, shops and restaurants. The rooms are fairly generous in size for Tokyo and are beautifully furnished and clean. There is a laundry, kitchen for guests and even a robot at Reception that takes things to your rooms. The Reception staff helped us forward some bags to our next hotel which was appreciated. We didn't dine in at the hotel however the restaurants on the levels below Reception were great and we would highly recommend. You can't go wrong with this hotel, we will definitely stay there the next time we are in Tokyo.

This is a great location in Shibuya which is in the Shibuya Stream building and also connects to the Shibuya Scramble building. Both provide a variety of shopping and restaurants just within steps from the hotel. The location is also a convenient walk to Shibuya station and the famous Shibuya scramble So much to see and do in this area. I would not consider the hotel full-service, but they have a casual restaurant in the lobby area that services a lovely breakfast (I did not experience any other meal there). But with many restaurants nearby, you have A LOT of options to explore. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative comment about my experience at this hotel was that taxi drivers did not know where to pick up and/or drop off. Because the hotel is within the building, there is not an area to easily pick up or if you need a bellman's assistance with your bags when you arrive, that is not available (at least not from what I experienced).

I've stayed here a few times already and it's a great first hotel if you land at Narita airport since the Narita Airport Express stops at Shibuya station which is located just underneath the hotel. Shibuya Crossing is also just a short walk away as well.
The hotel itself is very modern and clean, and the rooms have great views of the Tokyo area. I would check if there are superior rooms available since they're a little big larger. The standard rooms are good, but if you have a lot of luggage is can be hard to organize. The bathrooms are great and so are the free amenities.
There's also a lot of cafes and restaurants around the area where you take the elevator up into the lobby. All in all, a solid well-rounded hotel that I can see myself coming back to again in the future.
