Our first time here staying in Lungwood, and Nippori area. Overall it was good stay.
Location is great, only a minute away from Nippori station. Everything is basically within walking distance. Diner, convenient shop, pharmacy etc.
Staffs were helpful and welcoming.
One of the reason we chose this hotel is for it’s spacious room, compared to other hotels in Tokyo. We really prefer big rooms, where our child could roam around, not tripping on the bags or furniture. Room is well kept & clean. Only mishaps is, it was winter during our trip. I understand that some hotels would switch off their centralized air conditioner for heater, and so is this one. But our room particularly, was very humid & stuffy because of that. Note that the windows cant be opened. So we had to ask the staff for a portable fan ( they don’t have portable air conditioner ). It does help,a bit.
Overall, it was a good stay.

OK for the price and location. Usual very small Tokyo hotel room but with most things one needs. Great location for the rail network but not close enough to get train noise
What would make it a better hotel? Colder aircon at night that can be set in the room. A couple of free bottles of water.

Thank you for choosing Art Hotel Nippori Langwood. We would also like to thank you again for your kind contribution. As the air conditioning is centrally controlled throughout the hotel, it is difficult to adjust the temperature individually. Please feel free to ask at the front desk if you would like to borrow a cooler or heater. We look forward to welcoming you back to our hotel. Art Hotel Nippori Langwood Front desk

We booked this hotel only because we had no other chance. It Was a surprise! Positives: 1) hotel position, right in front of keisei skyliner train to nativa airport and the area is full of restaurants and pub. 2) staff is nice and Very helpful 3) Breakfast was AMAZING expecially the japanese one! 4) Common areas have been recently restored.
Negatives: 1) Room size could be ok but too much furniture make it smaller and difficult to use. 2) room moquette was dusty (we smell it in the air since we opened the door).

We stayed in the triple room The room is huge: 3 single beds, a long desk, a couch We had more space here than at that Tamachi hotel where we had 2 connecting rooms. Imagine that. The bathroom is ample, typical size and layout for a Japanese business hotel. It's so close to the Nippori station: very convenient to and from Narita and to take the Yamanote line There is a bus terminal across the station: very convenient to go to Asakusa and Kinshico (Kinshico is my wife's favorite shopping area). There are several dining options and a family mart around the station. Inside Nippori station there is a small shopping outlet: the bentos were so delicious. . If ever we go to Tokyo via Narita again, we will definitely stay at this hotel again.

For the most part, the hotel is ok—I’d have given most of the experience maybe 3 stars. But what is absolutely terrible is that there is no temperature control the room—the hotel info booklet even says so! The room was steaming hot all night and I had the worst sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel—and I have been all over in every kind of accommodation.

Thank you very much for using Art Hotel Nippori Langwood. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced while choosing our hotel from among many others. Regarding air conditioning, the facility manages it collectively, and it is only possible to adjust the air volume from inside the room. However, it is difficult to find the location of the switch to adjust, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers. Based on the voice of the customer, we will strive to devise guidance etc. We will continue to devote ourselves to providing even better services. We look forward to seeing you again. Be warned. There is NO climate control, thermostat or any sort in the room. You cannot adjust temperature as you wish. There is only central heating which is at 25.5 degrees celcius. You can only adjust the fan speed in the room. Upon notifying to the front desk, they advises sleeping with the door opened.
We checked in around midnight. Then woke up with heavy sweat and dry mouth.

Arrived on Friday and given a smoking room. They claim that no other rooms are available. Hotel should allow special request for non smoking rooms in advance or inform guests that they will give smoking room if non smoking room is unavailable. Smoke triggered my asthma and I'm unable to sleep all night. Also I cannot adjust the air conditioning to the temperature I feel comfortable with. Windows cannot be opened.

Before booking a room, I am doing like most of the following review, reading other reviews. I really don't get it, how can that hotel have even one good quality except the fact that it's close to a train station.
I am writing the current review while staying in another real 4 stars hotel in Tokyo and the defrance is huge.
Back to lungwood. You are getting a very tiny bed, tiny shower at a tiny room with poor old furnitures.
Bed service, mostly at the reseption, what ever you ask is replied with no or with a minimum effort or willing to really support you.
The breakfast is poor.
Grand score
Room quality: 2 out of 10 Service quality: 2 out of 10 Breakfast quality: 5 out of 10 Location: 8 out of 10 WiFi at the room: 9 out of 10 WiFi at the ground level: 2 out of 10, pure luck to really have it.
Try to avoid that hotel.

The hotel is a good location for taking the Skyliner to the Narita airport. Otherwise, skip it. Friendly enough staff but the hotel is very mediocre. Dirty hallways, scuffs on the walls, dirty elevator, ill-fitting carpet. The room was OK. Dusty and smelled of smoke even though non-smoking room. We stayed only one night - that was enough. 2 min walk to Nippori station.

We booked a semi-double bed. The room was small, but it had everything you would need: a small, but very clean and efficient bathroom with a heated toilet seat!, a mini refrigerator (this is is standard in Japanese hotels), a coffee-maker, a flat-screen TV, A/C, a closet, free wi-fi.
We hardly spent any time in the hotel, but it was the perfect place to come home to after a long day of sight-seeing. The location is AWESOME, only a 1-minute walk to the Nippori Train Station, which is on the JR Yamanote Line. AND it's direct access to Nippori Station from Narita International Airport if you ride the KEISEI SKYLINER -- it only takes 36 minutes from the airport to hotel -- super convenient! It's 5 stops from Tokyo Station, the main transit hub or central station where you can take the bullet train and leave to other cities, etc.
The rooms are modern and very clean, and some hotel staff speak English. There are 2 or 3 restaurants on-site if you don't feel like leaving the hotel. There is a Family Mart (similar to a 7-Eleven) open 24/7 just down the street for snacks, beverages, and other quick eats and let me tell you, the convenience stores in Japan are 10X better than what we have in the States. There are restaurants in the area close to the hotel as well. Don't let the room size deter you from booking here. When you're out exploring all day, this doesn't matter! A very comfortable stay!
