Went here for one night. The door from our first room seemed to be forced in the past so you could easily open it from the outside so we asked another room. Welten we arrived at second room the called again that it was booked already. The third room looked ok so as it was already late we dropped our stuff and went to eat. When we came back late we noticed that the bathroom was far from clean. Under and around the door it was dirty, tho bin was dirty, the taps were dirty. At least the sheets from the bed were clean. After complaining the next morning the manager didn’t even make time to have a look at our complaints and called the Zen Rooms customer service. They asked us to make a complaint by email so we did (Agoda also). After a few days they promised to return 50% of the costs. The pictures on Agoda look far different form reality and although we usually do not complain very often this was too much.

This is a fair hotel. It is not great, just fair. If there's something I like about this hotel, it will be the location. It is near the port and near the heart of the city. What I don't like here is the very poor wifi connection. This is supposed to be a big hotel but it has a very poor internet connection. Definitely NOT recommended for travellers that uses a LOT of internet. I would say that the price is also expensive for what it offers.

Our relatives in bohol brought us here tonight but was served with patatim with foul odor and taste. The restaurant refused to replace the said patatim. Everything taste average and nothing to crave about. Not delicious and low quality ingredients. Its not worth the price. Servers arent attentive and not aware of their menu. DEFINITELY WONT BE BACK AGAIN. Dont try it so you won't get dissapointed.

Our child who is less than 2 years of age was charged additional P300. The ONLY hotel ever we have been who charged a child less than 2 years of age. De luxe rooms a little pricey based on looks. Our room was in the last section of the corridor and there is no fire escape other than the main hallway. Another option is to break the glass window and you will end up in between rooms. If you decide to climb up the walls to escape, the ledges are protected with pieces of broken glass. There was no escape in case of huge fire. No security personnel in the hotel area. The security guard only stays in front of the restaurant, about 300m away from the hotel. There was no hot shower but with tub. Wifi very slow. Otherwise coffee is nice in the coffee shop.

This accommodation was hands down the worse place I've ever stayed in. We had to move rooms two times. The first reason was because the toilet actually lacked a toilet seat, and Staff was unable to find an extra seat. Then they moved us to another room, because the second room's shower didn't work. Both rooms had terrible restrooms, which had the following issues: ventilation., no hot water, bad plumbing. Furthermore, there was this constant bad smell, because of the lack of ventilation. Also, the room had cockroaches, mosquitos, and maggots. We stayed three nights and not once did housekeeping come. We had to tip a Staff member to obtain housekeeping. I guess my rant can continue, but I would rather not. Long story short, I would not recommend this place.

The bedroom was so dusty, many lizards coming out, the shower was poor and broken, the aircon takes time to cool. Wifi can't even reach the rooms and you have to go to the reception which is very far from the room provided to us.. For 1500/ night it's not worth the stay..

We stayed there last July 18 & 19, 2015 and our tour guide booked the Room 2 or B, I forgot what it's called, but this one is for a big group like us. We were 8 in a group (though this room can accommodate 16 pax), we only payed 350 each, 700 for 2 days. This is really near from the Tagbilaran port, around 10 minutes walk and nearby the supermarket (BQ) & mall. The room is big and spacious, it feels like I am in a spa room with how the bed was placed, aesthetic aside, the bed is okay and clean, same with the pillow and blanket. Though the blanket is really thin, and we have a faulty air conditioner unit, you cannot adjust the temperature & the louver, so we just bundled up to warm ourselves. There was a cabinet our room that I think they used as a stock place for pillows since we found some extra in them but it have a slight stench smell from being tight shut and there was spider web inside >.< There is a small TV in our room, but we haven't used it since we were out the whole day. The bathroom has 2 shower rooms & 2 toilets, it's clean when we get there, but the toilet gives me a creepy feeling with a dim light and not so clean wall with water stains, I think it needs some repainting, changed of bulbs & more scrubbing. The shower room is okay. No hot water in the shower, so prepare for cold morning showers. No telephone in the room, so if you need anything from them, you have to go to the reception area. We are lucky that our room is in front of the reception so it's not much of a hassle to contact them. The mobile data and signal is poor, I cannot use my mobile internet, but smart pocket wifi signal is okay. One of my friends brought his pocket wifi and we can connect without issues or interruptions. No hot water for the coffee, but if you asked at the front desk, they will provide for you. There is someone manning the reception area 24 hours, but you need to wake them up in case you need something at wee hours. The inn staff's were accommodating to my inquiries & request. They were young, but really friendly & helpful, though further training can improve them. Their breakfast is good and affordable for 80 pesos you have the standard fried rice, tocino/hotdog, scrambled egg & coffee. Their restaurant gives off a classy, high class vibe with the lightning. The whole place is big, but you can see that it is under renovation or expansion. It is different from it's website picture, the one they showed is the front pavilion, but it the inside is a bit different. Didn't have the chance to try the pool, but it's not that big. This is a perfect place for group of friends that looking for affordable accomodation, for 350 a day, you cannot really complain.

When you go to JJ's Seafood Village, choose the deluxe room instead of the standard room. Standard rooms are like the ones for the cheap pension houses. The deluxe room is nice with 2 big beds and a big room. Except for the bathroom which doesn't have an exhaust fan. They have a hot/cold machine but not functioning. The staff are not reliable. Looks like they are still students who OJTs. One time my husband and I asked them to have our room cleaned since we went out for the day. When we came back, the room wasn't cleaned. We just took out the garbage can out side the door so they will replace it with a clean one, but still, no one came to pick it up. The room has a very weak cellphone signal. No telephone lines inside the room and also the wifi is very poor.If you want to order something from the resturant, you still have to go outside the reception area and call the restaurant by yourself.Food is not that great too..So expensive, not worth it. I hope the management will do something about it. Train the staff about hotel etiquette and improve the rooms especially the signal.

Our tour guide booked a deluxe room for us. It costs Php1, 500 for two while an extra head is Php300. The room is great actually, there are 2 queen size beds. The incandescent light gives it a classy vibe. The air conditioning unit is superb, we had to lower the thermostat to only 3. We have an LCD tv with cable. Just take note the rooms are not completely sound proof. You can hear guests from inside their rooms when you're in the hallway. Now, for the comfort room, this one sucks. The heater is a complete joke. Moreover, the shower is only few inches above 5 feet so only children can really use it. You will have to resort to using bucket and tabo. The swimming pool is nice but not really splendid. It's not that big in the first place. Best time to use it is in the afternoon. For the service, there is no telephone to call the front desk so you will have to go there every time you need something even just water. The room was not also thoroughly clean when we check in since I noticed the bathroom floor is still wet. All in all it's just fine, specially if you're just looking somewhere to stay overnight before a tour or when you are just from the airport.
