We checked in at Marcelina’s a day before our flight back to Clark due to PAL’s change of schedule. It is located just a few steps away from Tagbilaran Airport. There are nearby eateries and a 7-11 store just beside the guest house. If you love to walk and explore the area, you can reach the city center in 15-20 minutes, or pay a tricycle for 10 pesos each. The room is quite small, no closet, shared toilet (the one we had), and a common kitchen and living room. This place is good if you just need a bed to sleep for the night, and be near to the airport.

Stayed here for one night with my husband before we went to Panglao. Small room with basic toiletries which we did not expect as most hostels that we've stayed do not offer these amenities. Big toilet and room is equipped with a flat tv. Though the bed a bit small (single bed i guess), i loved the smell of the bed sheet and pillows. Only negative comment is the low a/c temperature. Hubby requested for an additional fan which they quickly sent to our room. On the next morning we used their common kitchen and dining area to prep our breakfast. They have cooking utensils and we are allowed to use their gas range and ref.

The place is ok if you really need to stay in Tagbilaran. It is a small guesthouse with also small rooms. They dont have breakfast but have a common room where you can cook. They have a rice cooker and water heater there. You can also have your food chilled in their ref. They have a ref provided on the common area but it was dirty and moldy so we had our beverages chilled on their ref. The rooms were small. Just enough for you to move around. Although the place was clean. It just had the smell of an old wooden house. No water heaters. Soap and towels provided. Panglao is about an hour drive from here. Tubigon port to here around 2h althouh there are alternative roites to make the trip shorter. Would i stay here again if I took a Tubigon-Tagbilaran-Panglao trip? Probably not. I would go directly to Panglao.

Thank you for your honest review miss. Though just a clarification, we have a plated breakfast available at 100 per person & Panglao Island is just a 30mins ride from Tagbilaran City. Also, Marcelina's Guesthouse is an ancestral house that turned to a business. We're sorry that we didn't meet your standards but still Thank you for your review. We still appreciate it. ♥

Overall the place was good, it was clean and well maintained. The staff was also accommodating, as they responded to our complaints about our room. If you're on a family vacation, choose room 8, 9, 10, 'cause they are close to each other.
