The first day when we came back from the dinner a huge roach appeared in our room. That was the first and only visit, but we did not keep food in our room so I guess we lucked out. The owner of the place did not acknowledge our presence, once only she glanced at us when we said hi to her. Apparently she was too busy jumping all over 5 guys that were also renting rooms. Maybe she was looking for a new husband who knows? Our room wasn’t clean at all, for the toilette paper we had to ask the staff. The towels and sheets were smelly. The best happened after checking out. The owner checked our room and said that the towel is missing. We said to her that we had put it to dry on the balcony and it disappeared ( We were staying at the first floor which is all open concept even balconies are connected to each other). We have told her that if she wishes she can search us because we did not take her smelly towel. We have argued that there was a couple that liked to spend time on “our” balcony so maybe they have taken it by mistake. In the end the women charged us 300 pesos. We have complained that she has never checked on us asking how are we, she answered that she has never seen us. But she was close by since early morning when we supposed to check out. She knew how to find us there. At the end we have paid the money and left. We were furious. It is not about the money but about accusing you of something that you did not do. Disgraceful. I am so disappointed with the hospitality and the service at this place. We did not complain before because we were thinking that was a good deal, but at the end we have said we we thought of everything. One more thing - if you like crying babies and all day construction going on ( they are building a new room) that’s a perfect place for you. I wanted to leave 1* review but they have an amazing dog and a cat that’s why I have rewarded them 2* I do not recommend this place at all.

This house is insane, it’s so so beautiful, Joel and his wife have done an amazing job! We took up a tour with 2 of the other guests that were staying and did the countryside tour, it was good fun and Joel was very informative. The next day we went with Joel and the other 2 guests to a market and then to have a bbq on the beach it was such a lovely touch. The property has everything you will need during your stay and t he additional breakfast is beautiful! Highly recommend a stay here!
