Detailed Reviews
The rooms and communal area of the hostel are good but our bathroom was sadly quite dirty. The hostel have 2 kittens which are so sweet and it's lovely having them there. The location is really far out which is a shame. You can haggle and get a tricycle to Alona beach for 300 pesos - takes 45 minutes.

This is definitely a secure hostel with keycard access to its entrance and to your room. Inside the room, there are lockers too but not all of them are usable. The hostel appears to be a conversion of someone's home, so there is a lounge and dining area for meeting other travellers and a really good kitchen. The 8 bed dorms must have been bedrooms with ensuite. However, that's the problem - if the room is fully occupied, then one ensuite (combined shower and toilet) means waiting. I don't mind waiting for s shower (and it has hot water no less), but waiting for the toilet is not fun. The other disadvantage of this hostel is its location - you must walk down to the main road to pick up any tricycle, habal-habal, taxi or jeepney to go to the city or port. There aren't any dining options near the hostel either but they do have groceries you can purchase if you want to do that. The free breakfast is coffee with toast & jam, bananas, nuts, oats and sultanas - you can have as much as you like, then wash up your dishes. The beds are comfy zones with privacy curtain, light, power outlet and 3 hooks for hanging you clothes. The room is of course air conditioned. The staff are lovely and organised a great day tour for me at an excellent price. If it wasn't for the location and shortage of toilets, I'd give this hostel 10/10.

The rooms and communual area are really good. Nice beds, nice place to meet people. The hostel is out of its wayfrom restaurants, shops etc. Best thing is to rent a motorbike, so you could get there easily.
