This hotel was so lovely having come from a long boat road to Tagbilaran. Would highly recommend. The rooms are very clean, spacious and cool. They have a nice cafe for breakfast and the staff were very helpful.
Great food and real brewed coffee. Pay via Credit card and quick taxi or Pedi-cab to Ferry port. Walking distances to other sites. We love this hotel. Fair price. The staff does everything to make you comfortable. Shuttle to airport was 700p (14.00 US). But it’s about 20 min ride and the hotel shuttle is best.
First the good things: the rooms are spacious, nicely decorated, stylish, the beds comfortable and all is very clean. Also the front desk staff is kind and friendly. we were still left with a lot of bad impressions. first a day after booking we got a message from them that they have a problem with maintenance in the room and have to rebook us to a different hotel at a location we did not want to stay. only after the receptionist at our current hotel called them, they suddenly seem to have the option for us to stay at a normal room (we had booked the presidential suite) and eventually later move to the suite. no further appology or anything to make us feel less irritated. A day after arrival they offered us an executive suite saying they are not comfortable that the presidential would be ready. we accepted only to realize that the presidential was next to our suite and there was someone staying in there. then next the breakfast - its a mess; when you order you are waiting a long time; then the ordered food and beverages arrive at the table in several different steps; (eggs cold until you get cucumbers etc) for every small thing not on the preset breakfast menu you are charged extra (even for cappucino (!)) and even though we payed a quite high rate for the room). the food is not great; greasy, all is with loads of sugar; the options to choose from are very limited. some small other things that would not have mattered that much if we would have liked all else: for the safe the battery was missing twice, cold water in the shower when we first arrived, very noisy due to dogs barking all night (varies - gets worse and better), no option to have clothes washed... in summary; we will not return…
Arrived at the property around 8PM after whole day of site inspection around the island. Fast check in and everything was organized including our room assignments. The food in the cafe was really good quality bread and coffee too. Nice place to hang out for wine after dinner. The hotel is really a boutique hotel, small and homey just like we want. Room are big and quite. Yes, we will stay here again.
Sweet Home Boutique Hotel’s interior decor throughout is modern and tastefully done. Their business suite, rm. 510, is spacious with a comfortable king bed, smooth textured, white sheets and right height pillows. The TV cable connectivity has clear sound and picture which does not falter. Wifi has strong signal and uninterrupted. It has a desk and chair, two sitting chairs with a petite round coffee table, wood counter space, a fridge and wood doors. A welcome card with cheese bars from the manager (picture attached) was on the counter. Housekeeping knocked on our first night and handed a goodnight card with a cookie and the following day’s forecast (picture attached). The bathroom is also spacious and very nice with eucalyptus shampoo and conditioner and citrus body wash, all of which have pleasant scent. The shower water in both hot and cold has strong pressure. Toothbrush, toothpaste, shaver, shower cap, etc. were provided. The Duty Manager, Ms. Jennelyn B. Timaan, was very helpful. She rang Viator to give our address for the Bohol Full-Day tour pick up. She also researched Oceanjet’s scheduled trips to Dumaguete and Siquijor. Their complimentary breakfast is hearty and individually prepared according to your preferences. All hotel staff are friendly. The hotel is within walking distance to the Port of Tagbilaran.…
The hotel is walking distance from the port, we walked for around 10 minutes and we were at the hotel. At check in we were given welcome drinks. We are on honeymoon and so far they are the first hotel on our trip that acknowledged this with some amazing red velvet cake and banana / fruit cake! The best amenities we've had in a hotel room - everything you could have forgotten, they have you covered! Unfortunately the hot water in our room was not working so we were upgraded to a better room, which we really appreciated. As it was NYE, we were going out for dinner and fireworks, and the receptionist organised a driver for us, to drop and pick us up from Alona beach for a very reasonable price. Unfortunately the next day we suffered from food poisoning, but staff were very helpful in bringing medication and our breakfast to our room. They even refreshed the bathroom for us later in the day and check on us to see how we were. Truly superb service and would highly recommend staying here.…
I have been coming to the Philippines for over 30 yrs but had not flown as far south as Bohol before. I booked a 5 day stay in Bohol as part of a 3 month stay in the Philippines. When i booked the hotel i wanted somewhere close to the airport and as a base to explore the island itself. 5 days before we flew, the Tagbilaran airport closed and the new international airport opened on the adjacent island of Panglao. The hotel is in a quieter part of the city on a crossroads. It is a modern building of at least 6 floors. The reception is compact but the staff are very polite and it is adjacent to the coffee shop which serves hot and cold drinks and amazing slices of cake. We were shown to our 3rd floor room which had a small balcony only 12 inches deep and had views of the cross road junction below and the industrial unit across the road. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated. It has a kingsize bed and compact ensuite with walk-in shower. There is a branch of Mang Inasal, which is a Filipino fast food restaurant chain attached to the hotel but otherwise there isnt much in the immediate area. Fortunately there are plenty of tricycles to get you round the city and they are very cheap. We had breakfast in the coffee shop each morning as part of our booking. It is the same menu each day either American or Filipino style cooked breakfast. But components of each style are interchangeable so i had an American breakfast with garlic fried rice instead of pancakes or toast. and there are 4 Filipino variations and 3 American so plenty of choice. On the second morning we had no hot water in our shower so we complained at reception but it was still the same by the third morning so we showered in unheated water for the remainder of the stay. Not a great hardship as we usually showered in unheated water but I was looking forward to the luxury of a hot shower. I would stay there again and Bohol and Panglao are beautiful islands but having seen most of what they had to offer i would prefer to explore somewhere else.…
The staff was very helpful and gentle, they upgraded our room when we had a problem in our room. Always ready to help and moreover with a nice friendly smile. Room was clean, nice, spacious and comfortable. Of course the hotel is in town, so you need to travel a bit to reach the beaches around the island. But in a good position to access every place in town, restaurants, shops and whatsoever. A place to visit again
We stayed at the hotel for a week the room was lovely clean and comfortable. The breakfast was the big let down the same boring food every day served in a small dining room also used for a walk in cafe. On one occasion we had to sit on small stools to eat our breakfast. I had a complaint and wanted to speak to the manager I ask several times but to no avail. The last thing for any of you light sleepers the heavy traffic noise is 24/7.
The hotel is running extremely well with nice and cozy room, confortable full amenities, everything you need. The most highlight is the coffee shop next to reception simply the best food I ever had during my trip to Philippines, well done !
