You ever have a magical encounter where everything just worked out great? You ever visited a place as a stranger and then left feeling like you were leaving a family behind because of all of the hospitality and warmth? You ever see the true boundaries of what caring really means? If you're looking for a place that will automatically adopt you and make you feel like you are home or if it's simply your first time like us, then look no further than Arkipelago. My buddy from Canada was coming down and wanted to do some world-class diving so I did some research for him and for a lot of experienced divers, hands-down, it had to be PG. Then a very close friend of mine recommended Arkipelago and I trusted this bro enough to not question his reco and boy, did it pay off. My diver buddy was in heaven and taking advantage of all the dives he could in the 5 days that we were there. My family doesn't dive but we love beaches and we went island hopping and found 2 cool locations that were good for swimming or taking a dip - White Beach and Haligi Beach. Normally this would be enough for a great review but there's more... My wife and I were going to celebrate our 20th anniversary in a few weeks and I had the idea to surprise her with a romantic 20th wedding anniversary dinner. We planned this dinner in less than 36 hours and all due to the help and expertise of Amy Magsino and her wonderful team and family (Pedro, James and Mia). Amy worked her magic and I could see this was in her DNA to pull stuff like this off. We're talking, special menus that I decided on that were off-menu, decorations and helping with the surprise element, a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, a mango cake that I requested because it was wifey's fave in Manila (similar to Mango Bravo from Conti's) and some classy black pearls to seal the deal. This is what you call going above and beyond our expectations. Many people come back from PG with memories of diving and aquatic adventures, we came home with newfound family and friends. No jokes...FilCan Man tells it as it is...look for Amy and she'll take care of every little detail from transpo to accommodation and dietary needs to protecting you from being overly-approached by beach vendors. I cannot say enough good things about Arkipelago Divers and Beach Resort. I stayed for 9 days and did 29 dives. The food was great, the service was warm and friendly and the vibe was one of family. Amy and Pedro Magsino have a well-run organization that goes all-out for their guests. I had a second floor pool view room and was very comfortable. The AC was so strong I had it turn it down. I usually went diving with Jay and Nicko. Those guys taught me how to muck dive and shoot macro photos. They identified nudibranchs and other small critters for me to take photos of. James showed me how to optimize my Olympus TG-6 camera for shooting small things. Chris, Lovely and Christine were awesome upstairs in the restaurant and Joy helped edit my pictures and made a really nice short video of my highlights at the end of my trip. If you're diving, ask for the trip to Verde Island, which was fantastic! You're going to see lots of fish and feel like diving in an aquarium. You may be able to experience drift diving as well. Special Thanks to Joy and DM Jay!

Another excellent experience with Amy, Pedro and the crew. You can see the continual improvements they make to both the resort itself, the catering and the whole stay/dive experience. Good diving combined with very good service from all levels of staff members, not at all over priced, a great experience.

I had an unbelievable experience at Arkipelago Divers Resort. I'm a new diver and wanted to get a lot of dives under my belt. Over two weeks, I was able go on 42 dives. I got to experience wrecks, shallow reefs, deep canyons, and muck dives. The best thing about it is that all the dive sites are within a 5 minute boat ride. The dive masters are very experienced and always made sure that I was comfortable. The diversity of marine life is incredible and I saw something new on almost every dive. All the staff are wonderful and Amy went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. She even sourced a hard drive for me and also got it to me when I forgot it at the resort (thanks again Amy!). The rooms are clean and the food is tasty and so convenient with everything right at the resort. I will certainly come back and stay again.…

Arkipelago Beach Resort is all about the people. Their staff is one of the friendliest & competent that you would come across in the industry, and it is these very people that make me go back again & again & again. The resort is exactly what they sell themselves as, a No-BS, Value for Money, Comfortable, Homely Dive Resort to stay at. A place for scuba divers to chill at and unwind after their day out at the ocean. Rooms vary from the basic standard rooms right upto a mildly luxurious duplex villa with a stunning view of the ocean. All rooms come with the essentials for a Scuba Diver like me - clean bed & linen, hot shower, good aircon. They have a restaurant with an ever-evolving menu primarily focussed on Chinese, Filipino & a mix of European & American dishes. The menu is varied enough to cater to the ever-demanding taste-buds of the hungry diver & otherwise. What a real gem! I have had the pleasure of staying with Arkipelago and by all means, this is one of my favorite places. I truly love the attention and impeccable service given by their staff and management. Attention to detail is a norm here and Amy is always able and willing to make your request happen. Between Amy and Pedro, you can be assured of a wonderful and exciting stay like we have had! Whether you are an experienced diver or beginner like me, Pedro (with 28 years of experience) will insure you enter the water comfortably and confidently. It will be a total blast! Of course Amy has a whole slew of other exciting adventures waiting for those not inclined to get in the water (like my little one). Really, the accommodations and services provide are wonderful but, my favorite part is the awesome food and drinks! All of the food is homemade and the best part is you can make requests (like a good BBQ steak). Definitely try the beverages on any of the three decks, just can’t beat an evening drink on one of the decks with great company while watching the sunset or kids playing in the beach! Looking for a place to relax or want to take a short holiday from busy Manila? Go to Puerto Galera, stay and dive with Arkipelago Beach Resort. You will be impressed with the Service of the Resort especially the Managers; Mr Pedro & Ms Amy Magsino. The resort are clean, room are spacious. A simple resort yet make you feel at home. Want to have a stress free holiday, experience your holiday with Arkipelago Beach Resort, you will not regret! Had fun & relax Holy Week in Puerto Galera. Do avail the Private Taxi, it takes you only 40mins to d resort rather than the 2hours boat ride. The resort is able to organise the transfer.

My wife and I went there with friends last Nov 6-8. Extended our stay up to Nov 9 due to a mild typhoon. We're going back and bringing with us more friends to do their PADI Open Water Course there on Dec 18-21. Basically, it was a breeze. Amy and the entire Arkipelago team were very accommodating. They took care of everything, from our travel needs (getting tested, water taxi, etc.) to, especially, our diving needs. During our stay, their restaurant was still adjusting to the new normal created by the pandemic -- reduced manpower. However, that did not deter from the exceptional food they served. Other features you might find helpful are as follows: - the water pressure is amazing and the hot water was consistent - there's wifi in the establishment, though I did not have the chance to use, but the LTE was quite fast - the air conditioning in the rooms was surprisingly cool - the divemasters were fun and professional - it's absolutely safe as everyone is tested before setting foot to the establishment Just relax and have fun!…
