We were the only checked in guests the day we were there. Service was bad. You couldn't even enjoy your meals properly. There were workers (staffs) sitting around in the dining area with their feet up on the table. Cats running around. So turn off. Not worth the money. They even charged us extra for the boat ride aside from the 750 each person. The extra is because the boat was not scheduled to run yet. Very disappointing trip!

Disappointed on this place. We need to pay 750 for the entrance fee even we booked an overnight stay. If boat do not exceed min of 20pax, you’ll need to add 1500 on top of 750. Very limited options for foods, no snacks. Tawhai floating bar is under maintenance. The place is like 30% under construction. My husband got injured going down a rusty stairs. Worst are the staffs! They saw the incident and no one even approached or helped (No sign or warning made after it pa) No customer service at all. They are lazy, most are just sitting, busy with their phones or playing volleyball while cottage tables are dirty. Seriously, staffs need to be trained. Rooms are pricey but good enough. Beach is good too.

This is my second time in Lakawon. I didn’t remember having the best time here on the island when I first visited it. Today, while we’re waiting for our boat ride back to the port… all I can say to future visitors is to DON’T COME VISIT THIS PLACE. Place is nice on the front part of the island. Back part is worst. DON’T COME VISIT THIS PLACE because service is very bad. Really bad. As I’m writing this, we first came to the waiting area to go back to the port but we weren’t notified as if we’re not guests. We paid 750 each person to visit. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT. Better visit other resorts but DON’T COME HERE. GIGIL NA GIGIL NA AKO.

This place is over rated. We checked in for day trip, paid for Junior Suite room. We weee asked to wait for them to check the room. But when we entered the room the bed was slept in, the towels in the bathroom were hanging and used. We had to ask them to have it cleaned and disinfected. The reception did not mention to the housekeeping that they had the room used for massage. It is too hot and inconvenient. The walk from the port is too long. Worst was that while swimming there were women’s napkin floating in the water.

We were suppose to have our booking last March 21 2020 but due to Covid we have to cancel and request for a refund. i have been sending them mail and texts and calls but to no avail. Ms Mika once or twice connected with me and already asked my account number, but still after a month, no refund was given.

Been here twice, but this time with my family and we stayed overnight, the front beach are still beautiful but when you stroll around you will see scattered garbage at the back which for me was disappointing 😔 Service- still the same smiling and approachable staff.. Food- too pricy for its quantity and quality Cleanliness - see photos at the back of the island. Overall: Still a great experience, relaxing place to choose from.. Note: They are also strict with their rooms when you check out, they charged us 500 pesos because of the stain left in the blanket, which for me I believe its part of their laundry service already.

Lakawon island is amazing - clear blue water, powdery white sand, lush greens and instagram-worthy scenery. But, that is just it. Nothing more. Service is very poor and disappointing. We booked at the premier suite and arrived early for check-in. When we asked what we can do while waiting, the staff non-chalantly told us to just go around. I asked about spa, and they told us that there is no available masseuse; asked about snorkeling and said that the one who was releasing the gears was not around; asked about beach vb and was told that it is not working. We were just told that we can just swim for 3 days since there are no water activities. The disappointing part is that all of these were mentioned in their website and we were not informed that all amenities are not available when we are booking our accommodation. Talk about marketing deception. The place is also filled with unfinished structures which have rusting steel bars showing that the development has stopped for a long while. It is just a waste of our time and money. The island has all the makings of a maldives but was just wasted by the management.…

My girlfriend and I were so excited to come to Lakawon. The main reason we wanted to come here was for the Floating Bar, but when we checked in, they told us the Floating Bar was closed for renovations. I felt the resort should have notified us and gave us an option to refund our money and return another time. To make matters worse, they said our room was ready, but if we wanted to check in, it would be 500 Php. They called it an "early check-in fee." I paid it, because we were hot and needed to use the restroom. There was no wifi, so you will need to use data. The rest of the staff were friendly, the food choices were limited, but the food was pretty good. Beautiful location, but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth and sadly we will not be returning. I really wanted to like this resort.…

The island has been so commercialized. I remember being here when it was still nothing. You cant pay cash here ; you have to purchase an e-card and you can be reimbursed if you didn’t spend it all. The food selection is scarce. The water isn’t that great anymore. Most of the fishes are in the deep end of the ocean. And the water in the shallow part is murky and filled with weeds. If you come from Bacolod its about a 2 hr drive and another 15-20 minute catamaran ride to the island depending on the tides/current. The floating restaurant used to be included in the entrance fee ; now you have to pay it separate.
