The short version of my review is simply....DO NOT GO THERE !
I booked a SUITE for 3 days, On arrival I was taken to an EXECUTIVE room (They don't have Suites). This room was dark and musty and the bathroom smelled like a sewer. It was about 25 square meters in size, The window was a mere 50cm by 75cms and opened up to an undercover driveway. The AirCon was a relic from the 80's with enough power to maybe cool a toilet cubicle.
Not a single Drawer or Cupboard to unpack things into. Then to my disbelief....NO DOOR KEY. You could lock yourself in but could not go out and leave the door secured.
It was about now that my patience ended. The staff changed my room for a slightly better one which at least did have a Lockable door with a key and the AirCon looked more recent although not much more efficient (barely adequate).
Although still not satisfied I was resigned to staying here 3 days. Most accommodation in Cabanatuan was booked out.

As I was to soon learn this Hotel is used by locals for "Discreet Meetings". You can basically rent the room by the hour. You just drive your vehicle into the driveway....det some keys from the guy at the entrance.....drive to your room....park you car under the room....close the roller door and go upstairs and ??????? ( I am sure you get the picture). Must admit it is a great setup. Sneak off with the mistress ....your car is out of site....Have your fling....and only pay for the time you use the room.

So as you can imagine it gets a bit rowdy between 11pm and 4am with all the coming and going. These "dog boxes" of rooms are not exactly sound proof..Not that it matters much about the noise.....there was no way to get a good nights sleep on these beds anyway.....not designed for sleeping !!!!

If that is not enough to make you look elsewhere then keep in mind its located on a busy road and more or less 2-3 kms from anywhere descent. There is a Jollibee franchise next door which is open 24/7. You also have a Hotel Menu for room Service which....surprise surprise....it exactly the same as Jollibees Menu. {Jollibee is a Fast Food franchise....basically burgers and Fried Chicken.....Just like a McDonalds or Burger King with the only difference being that they have managed to make the food taste even more insipid and bland that the others},

Best part of our stay here was CHECKING OUT and Walking out the door. From what I can gather ALL HOTEL SOGO in Philippines are the same. You can bet your sweet bippy that from now on ...."We will NOGO to any HOTEL SOGO"

I was checked-in @ Rm.63 on my unexpected trip to Cabanatuan last month and I was so dissappointed the way they manage the check-out guest. Just a POOR MANAGEMENT I SHOULD SAY. Staff needs more orientation from management on how to give proper information to thier guest. Doors on my surprised they used a penny ? wat the HECK is that? . How can you trust that kind of Hotel .. Well ..I dont extend my stay that should be longer than 2 days. I checked off and find another Hotel thats the best way I can do not to ruin my days.

This is definitely the best Sogo Hotel I've been to. The location is strategic. The room rates are affordable and worth the price. The employees are very accommodating and always smiling. The rooms are always clean. My boyfriend loves how soundproof the rooms are. We also love the mirrored walls. We will definitely come back

The receptionists are terrible, the rooms were not made up upon my arrival, the air-conditioning is "hot", the wifi is not moving at all and were constantly harassed by the receptionists to check out. Found out that there was no toiletries when I wanted to shower....how bad can it go. Stay away from the hotel like a plague. Never ever stay at this horrendous hotel.

If you still have other choices, stay away from this hotel. The hotel's slogan is "SO CLEAN, SO GOOD", but once you enter one of their rooms, you will notice that cleanliness is not one of their priorities. The room where we stayed really smelled bad (mixture of cigarette and other stuff) and the floor is dirty (lots of stains). They did not even bothered to map the floor for their guests! The linens are of the poorest quality and their aircon is terribly noisy.

As I'm writing this review, one of their 'masahista' is annoyingly chatting in the hotel lobby, at 2:30 am! Staffs need to smile more and be polite to guests. Food is okay-ish.

The room is small but its okay fo the price.

not a good start with the first room they assigned, a/c cover fell off when i adjusted the temperature, sheets were old and thin, mirrors dirty, toilet fixtures old, after i closed the front door and it was loose and opened when pushed, i have to be transferred, then the next room tv remote was not working, had to be replaced, ordered food and drinks, dirty trays and glasses, and lastly, do not look under the bed, very old plywoods,,, only consideration why 2 stars, were the pleasing staff over all,,,

Not every clients entering this hotel requires a " QUICKY-RUSHY" service. The staffs specially in the front desk requires more professional trainings to accomodate clients and treat in more appropriate ways. Terrible beddings, terrible bathroom cleaning and most of all terrible front desk staffs.
