The resort was very good and accommodating to various concerns of our contingent. We were able to come up with an arrangement with the hotel in terms of a tour of Bohol considering the limited time we have requested it. Staff were very helpful. One good thing about the place is that they have an in-house bar with bands that changes nightly and not to mention cheap drinks. Bad thing about the place is that it is within the topmost part of the island and transportation to and from the city proper will pose a problem budget wise. Overall, it was a relaxing work for us.

We stayed at Bohol Plaza Resort when we had our tour in Bohol. The hotel is at the top of the hill. It has such a perfect view. If you're a nature lover, you'd definitely like to stay here. I really like the cool breeze during the entire day. And oh, we enjoyed their jacuzzi and swimming pool. I also love their buffet breakfast. Delicious and has a variety of choices! The staff are accommodating. Love this palce.

This hotel is on top of a hill with a fantastic view overlooking the Bohol straight towards Tagbilaran City and there seems to be an almost constant cool breeze. Be aware that it is well beyond walking distance of other facilities and if you want to go out you need to book transport. However the restaurant is good although the menu is not extensive. You can also be served down at the poolside bar, although they seem to keep very little drink stock behind the bar. I had to get drinks delivered from the main bar upstairs. There is live music in the evenings at the pool bar. I stayed in a cottage room which was of good size, freshly decorated and comfortable. The shower was excellent. I would go back there for a relaxing break but not for a prolonged period.

First of all i had a problem booking this hotel. I couldn't find it on any of the usual discount hotel sites. So i tried booking using the hotel website email address but no answer. So i ended up calling the hotel to make the booking and arrange free transfers.

The hotel is outside of Tagbilaran City on Panglao island. It's quite off the beaten track so to speak so unless you have transport already it can be difficult getting in and out of the place. To use the hotel van will cost you 200php into the city although they do have staff vans running 3 times a day which guests can ride for free if there is room. You need to book that with reception is advance.

Luckily we talked to one of the hotel drivers and he put us in touch with a friend who took us on a sightseeing trip for the day. Much cheaper than that offered by the hotel and also it was just for us not in a party although we did all the same things as the organised trip.

The hotel is nice and clean but the rooms are quite small. There is very little to do in the resort apart from the swimming pool. So if all you want is to sit by the pool and be lazy then this is the place for you. If you want to get out and about and see the sights then this is probably not a good choice for you because of the transport problems. You would be much better off finding a hotel in the city itself.

The food in the restaurant was good. Always ask about the meal sizes because a lot of them are meant for more than one person.

Personally it was a bad choice for me because im an out and about type person so I won't be going back there!.

We stayed at the BOHOL Plaza Resort on Daius, BOHOL on February 15-18, 2011. From the onset, I had no problem booking my reservations, and making a deposit through PayPal. We took the Supercat from Cebu to Bohol, and upon arrival in Bohol, were picked up by 2 friendly drivers. Upon Checkin, I actually met the person I had been contact with through the entire process. Ms. Oweh was extremely nice and her customer service was top notch. The hotel is located on a Mountain, with the most beautiful views I've ever witnessed. The hotel was older, but the resteraunt area/Checkin was immaculate. The food was excellent, and the service impecable. I definitely recommend this hotel to a traveler with either a family or solo. I was there for my engagement, and our room was upgraded to a Superior Room, and the extra cost was worth it. My only recommendations are that the beds are quite old and hard, and could be changed. That's my only complaint. Also, nightly they have a band playing outside, and the food was amazing. I ate more crablets and calimari then I've ever eaten before. The prices were amazing. Thank You Bohol Plaza Resort for your service, and next time I'm in BOHOL, I will be back. GOD BLESS.

I went to Bohol with my brother last April 2011. It was our first time to go to Bohol and i was the one paying for it! Hahaha! They have a promo at that time so it was a good bargain!

The pros: What I like about this hotel is the great view of the Panglao Island. It is located hilltop so the view was indeed fascinating! Since our room was located far from the main lobby, we need to ride their elevator. It was a good thing though since it give you a spectacular view because of see-through makeup. The hotel also boosts of in-house restos with a variety of Pinoy foods and Chinese gourmet selection. We often hangout at the their main resto for its refreshing ambience. The other resto downstairs which serves Pinoy food is also great! They have their in-house band that plays every night.

They also have a well-maintained swimming pool and jacuzzi. It was nice to swim and relax while the band from the in-house resto played.

The cons: Well, since it is located in Panglao, you have to go to Tagbilaran to do your banking needs. The hotel does provide a shuttle provided you go along with other passengers checking out in the morning. It would be difficult to go out in the night without any transportation services. So the location isn't friendly for going out without any accompanied tour guide. We just stayed inside after the day's itinerary.

Also, the standard room doen't include breakfast so we were forced to dine somewhere else or in their resto which is quite pricey. Aside from that, the bathroom is so small that the shower is just above the toilet which really turns me off! They must do some partition so that it does'nt get wet everywhere. Also, the water is brackish. Hope they'll do something about it.

All in all, it was a great stay. We will definitely come back!

awesome! The place was very relaxing and the facilities are great too! Definitely if time and schedules permits us to visit Bohol again, that resort will be the families sanctuary!

I rarely give bad reviews to hotels but this one is the worse experience i've had .
Management is poor , we booked for 20 rooms , standard rooms but the management upgraded us without our consent. She told me about the prices and the upgrade after all the guests were checked in .
We had a dinner , I opted for buffet for 50 guests , I was one of the last to get the food, there were only 44 guests , there is no more refill for the foods that were served.when I asked for refill, I was told there is none anymore . I have to eat 3 bites - and this is buffet?
Management wanted to me to pay for rooms that were vacated as some guests early for some emergency reasons- she said because they were reserved already .
She also wanted me to pay for 50 breakfast meals even if there are only 44 guests.

I will never recommend this hotel , obviously they were only after your money .

The staff work hard but management is so poor .

if you want a romantic getaway from the city hassle, this is definitely the place in Bohol, wherein it has great view of the city of Tagbilaran and a good view of the sunrise and a quiet place to stay in, their rooms are spacious and clean, there are also rooms which has tubs if you want one, and their rooms have good wifi signal. Their food are also great, but if you are a budget wise person it could not fit well with the budget, the con of the location is that it is far away from the city and you could not walk outside the resort for a walk because the street could be dark, you need a shuttle from the hotel to get to the city...good parking space, and their bar has scheduled band that could play good music wherein you could enjoy your nights with friends and still could get a quiet atmosphere in your rooms...the service is also great, their crew are helpful and accomodating. however, some rooms' bathroom smells funny but you could always call the frontdesk for some help. beware of room 702, it could get wet inside when it rains because the window is not well sealed, water could get inside, you could have room 712 which has a terrace and a tub but the view that you could only see is the swimming pool, room 706 has a tub but no terrace but you have a good view of the city...

First and foremost, the front desk officer was very nice. I called the hotel's cellphone number to inquire for availability and was very happy with the FO, very nice and accommodating. They offer free airport/port transfer both ways even if you will only stay overnight, most especially they agree fetching you at the port even at 5:00 o'clock in the morning! On top of that, they even also allow you to check-in at 5:30AM after fetching you with no additional charge. This really means a lot to us since nowadays hotel people will almost always make money to the guests in even little things.

Their accommodation does not include the breakfast which fine. We got the standard room at 1,200php per night. Their plated breakfast is around 100++. The hotel staff were all nice. The hotel is a little old but well-maintained. It offers a breathtaking view of Bohol. Although our assigned room looks a little old, we didn't mind because we got a very good service at a pocket-friendly price.

If you are planning to stay here, it is advisable to have a vehicle since its a little bit distant to most places in Bohol.

Very happy with our stay. Thanks Bohol Plaza.
