First of all l wasn't expecting the level of services l Got. Loved everything about the hotel. Its serene. There is a beach yet not crowded like the alona beach. Me and my daughter had the best moments there.our flight was 10 hrs delayed and we reached quite late, they were constantly coordinating with me since l informed them l am a lady who will travel with a kid alone. From the airport we got a complimentary ride the hotel, all nicely arranged. Room was very clean despite in a very green location. Food: they have varieties of food and it was simply awesome. Drinks were reasonably priced. Food was fresh, l could understand that from the taste. All the Service providers were very jovial especially Sanders and Jane. Anne in the front desk if l remember the name correctly, l had most interactions with and she was kind. Surroundings : the area has a colonial old era charm to it. The eating area has a great view of the sea. We stayed there for 2 nights then moved to another resort in alona and missed this one. The pool was warm during the night time which was soothing. If there was any chance l would have rated 11/10. For now 10/10. We stayed in room number 307 which was easy access to everywhere .…
Exceptional service, from check in to table service. They go the extra mile from telling you the best places to fish and showing you the largest gecko in the house when they see you taking photos of the ones in the dining area. Rooms, comfortable and clean and they have a more notable eco- recycling initiative then many. The food at dinner was very. ,very good. Went local with Boho Express vegetables, Seafood kare kare and prawns in coconut sauce and meat for dinner. All were a mouth watering treat. Their calamere was fresh, crisp and beautifully fried. The resort us very nicely oresented on a slopes with loverly pool going down to the beach. We'll worth a couple of days stay at least.
I have to start by complimenting the really excellent service. In particular Lani and Caryl at the front desk and Sander in the restaurant. The hotel helped arrange food around our early mornings and late nights; booked tours for us; supported us in transfers for our arrival and onward travel and more. They were really very generous. Moreover, the tours they arranged were fantastic - especially the sea tour and the countryside tour - both of which I really recommend. The property is lovely, with a very short walk to the beach, pretty and well-maintained pool and a relaxing restaurant.
2018 March 17-18 A quick getaway with the family. Amarela was recommended by a friend. It has the vibe of a private vacation place. Very beautiful wooden floors. Healthy food. Rather pricey, though. Beach was private although it’s not a long stretch.
My wife and I decided to push through with our visit to Amarela for our honeymoon despite the pandemic, and it was one of the best decisions we made! Though the place is not within the central thoroughfare of Bohol, it is not super far as well, which I think is its main driving point-- far from all the partying and merriment so you can relax and unwind. The entire place is littered with greenery and vibrant flowers. There is sufficient spaces for you to walk around and ponder with nature. The walkway towards the beach is inviting making you feel like you just have to go by the beachside. There is even a hammock area! I found myself taking a nap there one afternoon and it was one of the best naps I've had. Amarela is an excellent space to just take a step back and relax. The rooms are also really nice. The hardwood structure makes the place more inviting and bring a zen-type vibe to it. The staff were also super accommodating. They assisted and helped us with our planning via email-- they're easy to talk to! They also informed us what documents we needed, as well as, application we'll need in order to get around Bohol which made things more convenient for us. They would also check up on us if we're doing okay and if there was anything we needed. They also assisted us in our transportation and tours needs making everything extra convenient. Food is another story. Not only was it good, they serve a generous amount of it. Their service during meal times are excellent. We would find ourselves always wanting to sleep right after because we were just so full. It was a gastronomic experience. Also, they would immediately tend to our needs whenever we needed something. They would even serve food by the poolside which made things more convenient for us, so that we can enjoy the amenities. Overall, I would love to go back to Amarela! They made our stay super fun, yet relaxing. It was a definite place to take a step back from everything and just enjoy breathing and being one with nature.…
We stayed here for 3 nights. It was very good experience. Buffet breakfast was my favorite, they have several choices. I like the welcome drink too. We will visit this place again in 2021🙏 During our stay, through true hotel, we booked a full body massage for two, it was another very good experience. Then we decided to visit the bee farm, the hotel contacted a tricycle to bring us to the place and took us back to the resort. I like this resort because is not too big, so therefore it’s not crowded. Also, the free shuttle pick up from Tagbilaran Bohol and return to the airport , was included to our room rate.
The staff arranged free pick up and drop off at the airport. The resort is about a 10 minute walk from the main road but not that much around. The staff can arrange a tricycle to take you to Alona. The rooms were clean. The grounds are beautiful and the beach lovely though depending on the tide not much water to dive into. They have an extensive video and book library which came in handy for the rainy day we had there. The front desk was very helpful in arranging tours.
Considering the Island’s mediocre level, it’s not bad. Stuff quite helpful, breakfasts pretty good... some setbacks would be the slow restaurant service and the existance of only Philippino plugs in the rooms
Stayed here 3 nights as part of our honeymoon trip. It’s surrounded with tropical greenery and even have their own herb garden. The walk via the pool and down to the private beach is beautiful. Hammocks, outside massage areas and beach swings all make for this perfect idyllic setting on the white sand beach. The staff are the most helpful and friendly and helped us in every way to make our stay perfect. We are at the restaurant all x3 nights. The fish is fresh and the menu is extensive without compromising on taste or quality. I loved my stay here. It reminded me of a health retreat without the inflated prices. Thank you everyone at Amarela x
If you like a quiet resort, where you can truly relax, where all the staff are courteous, the service is excellent (11 out of 10 as far as I am concerned) has it's own private beach and most important, away from the crowds...this is the place for you. It has a homey vibe with it's own art gallery, a library, and if the beach isn't your thing, they have a pool adequate enough to accommodate the guests (I think they have less than 30 rooms) Their menu and breakfast (included in the room rate) is adequate and food is delicious. My family (wife and 2 kids) stayed here for 2 nights and got 2 rooms. We loved it so much that we plan to return, same time next year.
