If you are looking for peace and quiet and service with a smile Bohol South Beach is the place to be. Just 2km from Alona and cheap 5 minute tricycle ride action is nearby if you want it. The in-house rooftop restaurant is great and supplemented by the Blue Dragon restaurant ( one of Panglao’s secret gems) just down the road from the resort. South Beach offers service with a smile, starting with the included breakfast ( offering five choices) to the room service , just like on board cruises, to the pick up . Great place, great vale and the place to come alive without the stress.
We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days in their family room. Nice, and cozy boutique hotel. Perfect if you are aiming for a relaxing and quiet vacation. The staff are really friendly and courteous. We had a good massage by the beach. Not crowded. The driver Duy picked us from and to the airport. If you plan to go to Alona Beach, it is just 10 minutes drive and you can avail their transfer service for 200 php per way. The only down side is that their walls are really thin. You can hear the TV from the outer guest's room. Worse, I heard the moaning of the couple next door having S3x. I could not unhear what I heard. I was luck the kids were already sleeping when it happened
The staff, location, room and food were all wonderful. We had a family room and it was perfect. The beach and pool were perfect as well. The family was well taken care of. You are in a quieter part of Panglao but the noisy part is not far away. We really enjoyed our visit.
This was a nice hotel but it could use some color, character and shade at the pool. Splurged for the “sexy room” but that was definitely not worth the cost. Breakfast was ok. Location was a bit out of the way from restaurants and bars. Not a swimming beach.
I always wanted visit to Bohol and we stumbled on this beautiful , very contemporary resort Bohol South beach , what a gem. Everything was perfect from the room , rooftop bar and restaurant and their amazing food . We are also fortunate to meet the owner Mercedes and she is very pleasant and went above and beyond to set a lovely romantic dinner on our last night . If you haven’t been , this is a MUST place to stay . 5 star all the way !!!
When John and I decided to book a hotel, one thing we consider is the view, safety and having peaceful place, and we got it all our wants from BOHOL SOUTH BEACH HOTEL. The 5 days stay at their deluxe room with a seaview was perfect choice for us. Always enjoyed watching sunrise while having our coffee and dinner at roofdeck for a beautiful sunset view. Also we experience having met new friends who were also guests like us, and we enjoyed meeting the hotel owner who was so friendly and accommodating. If we decided to come back to the bohol Island...this hotel will always be in our no1 top list to stay. There is no other like BOHOL SOUTH BEACH HOTEL!!! Thank you guys for making our vacation enjoyable!!!
After a disastrous night in another resort we were lucky enough to find this little peacefully gem away from the hussle and bustle of Alona beach , it’s a five minute drive to Alona beach and the hotel provides a shuttle . Being in hospitality for 30 years it is clear to understand that the owner and management and staff in this property know what they are doing , Being a diver and living in Cebu this property is now on my List of preferred hotels in the Philippines, good service , great property with good value , a winning combination !
If you want somewhere cozy and simple its the place to stay! Staff are accommodating and charming. Our room had a laptop and WIFI for free. Food is served as ordered. They also provide free ride to and from Alona Beach. Further, our tour to Bohol tourist spots were very fulfilling.
We were at this hotel from 14 to 19,the first impression was bad. Our room was dirty, very dusty specially under the bed(under the bed is very visible) Smells bad mostly in the toilet sink and we found their friend cockroach having a tour in the shower. The mini bar was stinkingly dirty. House keeping comes every 3 days unless if you request for cleaning (we didn't expect that since there is this "don't disturb" sign so we thought they would come in for just atleast take your garbage and check the mini bar if needs re filling or not. Apparrently they don't do it. This is the first hotel experience with weird housekeeping service. They put in baby bed and baby care in their booking option but they didn't have baby bed when we ask and not even baby chair. They also have no telephone, if you need something you have to head down to the front desk. The plus side is the view, pool and the shuttle to alona. The place has a lot of potential. Location is perfect if you want a quiet place.…
This was our favourite place that we visited in over 2 weeks whilst travelling the Philippines. The room was perfect, with solid and reliable WiFI, a very comfortable bed and refreshing air conditioning. The staff are extremely helpful and can meet any demands you have within minutes, from massages by the pool to room service. The hotel overall provides a very relaxing experience and it was nice to wake up to the sound of soft, chillout music coming from the breakfast area. It's a great place to wind down and I'm happy we stayed 3 nights here.
