This is definitely not the most impressive and not the most beautiful resort/hotel we have ever had but this petite resort gave the same satisfaction, comfort and relaxed feeling we all wanted. A very quiet place surrounded with trees and plants... very peaceful. It is our last night in our Cebu-Bohol Trip. We arrived at the resort by past 6pm and our flight going back to Manila will be 8pm the next day. We asked them how much they are going to charge us if we extend our stay beyond the standard check out time of 12 noon. Unexpectedly, they allowed us to stay until 6pm for free. We are a group of 16 and we had 4 family rooms. All are situated a very few steps away from the pool, spacious with 2 double beds for each unit. We all had good sleep and felt well-rested after 3 whole days of exploring Cebu and Bohol with short sleeps (very early call times). Furniture, bathrooms, towels, swimming pool and restaurant are very clean. We are all very comfortable with this resort's facilities and amenities. Not as complete as the other expensive hotels but all fine with us, we had what we needed. The swimming pool is open for 24hours. The staffs are friendly, helpful and very accommodating to our crazy family. Breakfast is good. They have a shuttle which can used for free on transfer to/from Alona Beach from 5-9pm. Because they allowed us to stay longer, we got to enjoy Alona beach and their very lovely swimming pool. In addition, they arranged for our airport transfer for free. We are very satisfied and very happy with this resort. Thank you very much Veraneante Resort... We will be back. :)

I had a great time at Veraneant resort. The housekeeper was very friendly always accommodating our requests. She assisted us to organise tours and transport.
I love their swimming pool and the bedroom was clean, with air conditioner and shower with hot water. I strongly recommend this resort.

This place was friendly, nice pool area and landscape, comfortable bungalows. The area wasn't within walking of Alona Beach but the free shuttle at night times was good. The closest beach, Momo beach is ok and we found the snorkelling spot a little further north at Tangnan (with the cliff diver) was fantastic. The staffs English isn't fantastic, so tricky to get travel tips. Generally good atmosphere and relaxing place for a family holiday.

So, their breakfast, minimal but nice.
The area: far from the beach, but they had everyday free shuttle service to the beach and back, also lovely.
Room and bathroom: clean and cozy
Pool area: clean and nice looking
Food in the restaurant: tasty and cheap
Surrounding: nothing special, but well connected to the center.
Other guests: mostly families and kids
Recetion: smiley and friendly, with good English
P.s. the last two pics are not the hotel area, but neighborhood

This is a reasonably new resort in Bohol. When looking for a resort in Bohol I wanted somewhere close to Alona Beach. This resort is not. They are a 10 minute drive away. However I decided to book because they had a free shuttle advertised to take you to Alona Beach and back when you wanted. This was a lie and a misrepresentation on their part. They have a free shuttle that run 6pm to the beach and comes back at 9pm and if it is overcrowded and you cant get in it, tough luck. All other times they charge you 250 peso per trip.

Spent 24 hours before arriving in Bohol trying to contact them with no joy to arrange a free shuttle. The numbers they provided where wrong so ended up having to pay my own way there and the driver did not know how to find the place.

When we arrived ordered some dinner with a friend. There was not much on their limited menu to select and what I wanted they did not have. My friend had to wait over an hour for his meal despite us being the only people in the restaurant.

Things got worse with the breakfast. Toast, scrambled eggs and bacon. How could you possibly screw that up. Well they put tomatoes in the egg despite it not being on the menu. Being allergic to tomatoes I pointed this out and ask for new eggs. All they did is take it away, pick out the visible pieces of tomatoes and reserve it to me. Was completely disgusted by this. We wanted to get a shuttle to the beach next. Was told the shuttle would not be ready until 9:30am and when we got to Alona Beach all the tours had gone. Of course they were more than happy to try sell me on a private boat for an overpriced 2500 peso which I was able to find a far better 1500 peso offer myself a few minutes later.

Breakfast the next day was hilarious. I said to my friend wonder how they would screw up this breakfast. Well this is how they did it. They served toast, eggs (sunny side, cant trust their scrambled eggs) and bacon that they had cooked the night before and left in the fridge. It was served ice cold. The place itself is run by a bunch of kids in the 18yo to 21yo range and completely devoid of any sort of manager or proper hotel management.

The rooms have a strange layout. Rather than the TV being in front of you it is 90 degrees away from you. The soap and shampoo packages they provide would be barely enough to bath a chihuahua, let alone an adult. The water temperature was great and the aircon good. Will give them that but that is all I could say complimentary about the room.

The pool is fantastic but I would not recommend this place to anyone in its current state and at the price they are charging. This is a $20-$30 a night place at best and not anywhere near the $60 a night they ask for. It is isolated, poorly run and overpriced.

Veraneante is a really pretty place in a rather out of the way area of Panglao island. Getting to Alona beach, where most of the entertainment is, is about 10 minutes away by tricycle. The hotel themselves offer a free shuttle at 5pm, back at 9pm but a tricycle is 150 pesos so going any time is not a problem.

Hotel restaurant is decent and they offer a nice breakfast for free to all guests. Restaurant is open till 9pm so if, like us, you're arriving late think of getting something to eat.

One good option is La Familia restaurant which is close by .. pretty place with excellent and well priced food.

The pool at the resort is open all hours and, in December, was actually warmer than the air and very pleasant.

The rooms are spacious with a nice shower.

A trip to the public market about 1.5km away (on foot or by tricycle) is great for stocking up and avoiding the tourist pricing so prevalent in Bohol.

I recommend heartily!

A better place for those who wishes to relax and be quiet after a long waited vacation, this is a place to be...it was not crowded and cater a country ambiance. It was an experience, where I forgot the downbeat of city life and the stress of the corporate world.

There are things needed to be improved, but the services provided by the staff compensate the small things they are short of.

Definitely a place to recommend!

We stayed there for a night, a primer to our Sinulog trip. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by Wynna, indeed she was very warm to us.

Customer Service: an excellent Filipino way of giving service to their guests! Everybody is warm and nice! They attend to your needs! Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food: food is good and affordable, although some fruits are not that fresh. Btw, thanks for the welcome snacks (peanut kisses). Btw, drinking water is not a problem. You can ask the reception or the restaurant about this and they will give you. :) rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Place/accommodation: nice huts! Very clean! The sheets and pillows are warm and fresh! The toilets are also clean. The pool is clean and inviting! The place is really relaxing. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pocket Value: very affordable! The price is very reasonable.

Downside: the resort is kinda far from Alona white beach. But you need not to worry because they have free shuttle service to the beach. :).

How much family room? Dec 23
Answer from Doreen Marie D
Good day! It is Php 3500 per night good for 4 persons with 4 plated breakfasts only.
Answer from Doreen Marie D
We have a Family Room which can fit up to 6 persons. However, it is already fully booked for Feb. 19-22, 2018.
Answer from VeraneanteResort
Good day, Thank you for your message. May I know the reservation name so we can assist you better? We actually have a free pick-up but it is only from 9 AM to 5 PM. May we know your arrival time in Bohol? Honestly, most of the food in our menu are Filipino dishes but we have a few that are for vegetarian guests. We can also customize menu in order to fit your diet as long as the ingredients are available. We also offer Bohol tours and the driver picks you up from the hotel and drops you back here as well. Hope we answered all your questions. Thank you!
