Stayed her for 3 days and was one of the most relaxing and pampered stays of our 6 week journey. Staff are lovely, we had a small problem with a lock on a door and it was fun working together to sort it out, I think I might have hindered rather than helped. It’s right on the beach and there are free canoes so you can paddle out and snorkel. We hired a motorbike from them which was great value, we went to Alona beach but although you can get slightly cheaper bikes there they were no were near the quality. Getting to the main resort is a couple of dollars and 10 minutes in a tricycle, we did that one night, had one night at the restaurant at Momos we’re the food is great and the happy hour very happy. Nice pool, huge room, super beachfront, top staff

Thanks

The staff was exceptionally accommodating and helpful. Accommodated our request for ala-carte breakfast as the buffet spread was not very good (the eggs were too salty, juices were too sweet and weak coffee). The room was nice, clean and comfortable. We will consider coming back for these reasons only. Else, it's quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of town which was nice but also 15 mins tricycle ride away from Alona Beach and 20 mins away from Dumaluan beach. (although the hotel provides 2 shuttle service a day). The beach at Momo is also too small and not very nice.

Thank you for the excellent service from the whole team! Especially Mr. Fritz, he was so helpful and attentive! There is an important point to improve, it is the way the beach dogs are treated: "They are very useful and control the rats, which keep away the snakes and people must be informed of their utility, the dogs must be valued and presented to guests upon arrival, to understand their usefulness! We noticed that some people, customers included, chased them like pests, we can understand this point because dogs look like wild dogs although they are very nice! As a dog breeder at Canada, I noticed that the pack of dogs is happy and well established on their territory, it would be great to see these dogs neutered, identified and the skin problems fixed for some of them. If the hotel that uses them, could put collars, with a label "Momo Beach House" for example and taking care of the good condition of the hairs, the approach of the dogs would be more welcoming! These small improvements will control the population of the pack, they will continue to protect the limits of the hotel, keeping other animals away. We are well aware of the situation in the Philippines which does not make animal health a priority, but as a western customer, I would choose a hotel first who treat his animals with the respect they deserve! I would be happy to contribute to a donation program for the sterilization of female dogs, collars and take care of their skin problem! He will give a friendly and secure atmosphere around your friendly beach house protected by your dogs! We saw a huge snake of 6 feet long on the road one night, and we were very grateful not to have seen one at Momo Beach! Thanks to the dogs !!!

Thank You
Dominique Firetto

I stayed for 4 nights. The setting is right on the beach and it is so quite and relaxing. I booked a standard room they and upgraded us to a delux room, which was about 2.5 times the size of the standard room. If you can get the delux room definitely go for it.
The staff were amazing all the time. Sandra the receptionist was so friendly and helpful even the security guard was a lovely guy.
When we were going to the beach, the manager Fran came over and asked us had we towels for the beach and got us 2.
It was really great value for the money. There is also a free shuttle to Alona Beach. This place is all about the personal touch.

This place is away from the rest of the other resorts which is awesome for me since I don't like crowded places. It's simple, clean and the staff are good. Our room was huge, 3 queen beds. Great place for kids also. They have board games ready. Cozy place.

Momo Beach is situated in a very remote area of Panglao. Despite the location, I think it's one of the best places to stay at if you want to experience a hotel with a personal touch. The hotel is small but the staff (edzel and Karen) have the biggest heart. They attended to all our needs and made sure everything is okay as soon as we checked in. Food was great - everything they served was fantabulous! Hot chocolate in the morning is a must. The water in the pool was warm. Everything about this hotel is great - even the stray cat was friendly! The beach had a lot of weeds, however if you ask why then you'd understand why the beach is not pristine on that side of town. I have high regards for people who like to keep their surroundings as natural as possible. There's really nothing to complain about this place. If you're the type of person who like huge, modern resort type hotel, then this may not be the place for you. However, you're missing out on the personal touch, friendliness and warmth of Momo's staff.
Will consider staying here again....

Being frugal as I am, I tend to pass on accommodations that cost over 3K pesos a night, especially on my first visit. I find it no sense to spend thousands of pesos for a place you'll just sleep in. But seeing the pictures and reading the reviews of this place, made me fall in love with it ever since I first saw it on agoda.
So just when I was about to book on another hotel, I saw this place on-sale! I booked it right away, no hesitations, no questions asked.

Boyfriend and I were here in September for a 3-night stay. As we did not make arrangements for transfers, it took us a tricycle, a jeep and a habal-habal ride to get to this place from Tagbilaran airport.
It is far away from the highway that transportation arrangements are a must. (The place offers free shuttle to Alona Beach everyday with scheduled trips).

When we finally got to the beach house, a warm welcome greeted us. From the sign board, to the staff, everything was perfect. The place is everything you imagine what a quite retreat, beach-chic place should look like. White paint, simple furniture sets with the right beach-y accessories, rustic chic style, no fancy pancy stuff.
Our room was very clean, I felt everything there was sanitized.

The amenities are simple: a pool, kayaks, paddle board and enough hammocks and beach sunbeds. On our first two nights, we were the only guests there so we had the place all to ourselves.

If there's number one selling point of this place, it is definitely the staff. Headed by Ms. Carla, all staff members are AMAZING! They're so amazing that I've written this review. They're very courteous, attentive and very pro-active. They just knew what we needed. They're the most lovely and attentive staff I've encountered so far. The staff alone is more than what we have paid for for this hotel. (A special shout out to Edzel, Krystelle and Beth, thank you guys)

The only thing we regret is not being able to spend at least a whole day in this place. Our arrival was delayed because of a thunderstorm, thus our schedule was messed up. So if you're planning to stay here, spend at least two whole days in this place and few more days for sight seeing.

The place is out of the way and quite far from where the happenings are; but every day we were in Bohol, we just looked forward to getting back to this warm, quiet, cozy place. Indeed it is a beach house, but it's just what a home should be.

Booked thru Agoda and even with the discounted price I didn't think I got the value for my money. Beach isn't the nicest in Bohol, not even close to the nicest, room is just OK but is poorly arranged (the TV blocking the seaview, no power socket where you can conveniently recharge your phone) overpriced below average food and staff that didn't seem to be enjoying what they're doing.

Maybe just OK for an overnight stay but definitely not for 3 nights that we stayed there. Chicken dishes we ordered were all leg quarters like it's all frozen pieces cooked in different ways. It's a "Beach House" that would have you eat frozen chicken pieces and pork as fish and seafood didn't seem to be available most of the time.

Their 500ml bottled water is priced at 150 per bottle for those who have kids and have already booked on this hotel and can't back out anymore, so bring your own. They let me know Shrimp Sinigang is not available, only prawns without telling me the price difference. When I got my 2 orders of Shrimp Sinigang, the "prawns" are of the same size of the Shrimp sinigang I first ordered so I thought that was the difference and shocked when I found out how much they charged me for it.

The housekeeping staff was always smiling and always greeting us whenever she sees us and does a good job of cleaning our room every time. I honestly think she can do a better job than the manager who rarely smiled and was mostly in the office and very seldom interacts with guests. When she was out one morning, a group came in and they were all gays. They ordered breakfast along the beach. She took their order and whispered mockingly to their waiter that they are all gays in Visayan language (bayot) as if that matters and besides you shouldn't be saying that as the Manager specially with other guests around.

We celebrated husband's birthday there and I really wished I have booked sooner to book a better hotel worth our time.

We will never come back and neither our family and friends will set foot in this hotel. Not recommended at all.

We were looking forward to a weekend easter family break in Bohol island and decided to stay in a small resort called Momo beach house.

The staff greeted our group of 15 warmly & immediately served us welcoming drinks to cool us upon our arrival. We were immediately shown our rooms which were spacious enough but the materials used were very ordinary. The resort is fairly new but the doors to some rooms dont lock properly or the doors only open partly as the wood has already warped.

The food selection is just so so although the kitchen is willing to serve any particular requests. But the price can be quite expensive.

The staff were helpful enough with the exception of EDSEL who was extremely helpful and tirelessly stayed around the whole time we were there. It seemed to us that he did not sleep at all. And he was smiling the whole time. If only the owners were around, I would have convinced them to promote Edsel as manager of the place as he truly embodied the word "service w a smile". The manager whom we only saw upon arriving at the place was nowhere to be found the whole time!

Although the resort is fronting the beach, this is the first time in all the years that we have been going to beaches that we did not actually get in the water. The water was too shallow & covered w seagrass & there were literally hundreds of sea urchins! We actually took out a big waste can of sea urchins. And 2 of our family members got stung by a jellyfish as soon as they walked into the water to watch us remove sea urchins! So we immediately got out of the water!

Overall, I will not recommend Momo Beach house to people who are planning to go to Bohol. I am sure there other nice resorts there. Unless you are looking for complete isolation from everyone else.

It is on the beach. The beach is average. In my room there was a fridge. The signal is average to weak. This is not a luxury property, but fairly decent. The staff is great. Somewhat remote, though.
