Detailed Reviews
I stayed here for four nights as a solo traveler. I picked the place based on the fact that they rented motorbikes, were slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Alona and the pictures looked nice.
This place did not disappoint. I had an entire villa to myself and felt like a king. It was spacious, clean, two rooms (living space/ kitchen and a bedroom plus a bathroom) and well kept. The gardens on the property are beautiful and the pools are well maintained and very refreshing after a day out and about.
The location is not near the beach so be advised you will need to take their shuttle or rent one of their bikes. I am sure that disappoints a lot of people but the property itself is so great, who cares (the beach nearby, Alona, isn't that great anyway... white sand is much nicer).
The staff is warm and inviting. Liberty was so friendly and kind, telling me where to buy beer at good prices, what roadside grill is the best and always had a smile on her face.
I spent a lot of time exploring the island and it was great to come back to a villa that was all mine, have a dip in the pool and unwind. I spent a lot of time sitting on the porch just listening to the roosters (be aware they are always crowing), the cat that was in heat, the birds chirping , and just enjoying my surroundings. I was then able to hop on my bike and go to town for some food and a drink once I recharged, it's only about 1.8 km to town.
Treat yourself solo traveler- it's worth it.

Of the places I stayed this past trip to Bohol this was by far the best place. BUT, must be able to ride a motorcycle I would warn.
The Good: Beautiful villa. Perfect amount of room. Great bathroom. Good kitchen set up with fridge, plates, cups, burner, teapot, everything.
Swimming pool is first rate and GF and I had it all to ourselves. No one else used it. Only 7 villas at this B&B.
Sleep quality was great. Room has Air con and good window screens if choose to go with ceiling fans.
The Bad: Not much. There is road construction as of Feb. 2014 to Alona Beach. Its a 7-8 minute ride down to the beach with bad roads right now. One day had rain, with mud and rocks a little rough.
Motorbike fee was 500 PP a day, which I think is expensive. Better would be 300 PP a day.
Overall: Best place in Bohol hands down. Stay here for couples that can ride motorbikes.

Recommended for those looking for a clean peaceful place to chill out. Wifi at the villas was pretty bad (non-existent most of the times) but you get decent wifi at the lobby, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We did not take the free shuttle due to time (earliest one leaving at 9am) but transport to Alona beach was only 80 pesos for two persons per tak tak one way (the reception helped arranging).
My friends went for their massage and they were very happy with it. The only downside was our request for late check out, which they refused to confirm (claiming may get online booking anytime) until we had to go for our morning trip that last morning and eventually we had to pay for that extra hour (at 250 pesos per villa).

I can absolutely not recommend this place to anyone. Me and my friends we're staying there for one night. One of their plastic sun beds broke when my friend used it. Being a normal, polite person she went to the reception to tell them about this and apologise. The reception lady went to the general manager and this is then the crazyness happened. He came rushing out of his office and started screaming at us and blaming my friend for what happened. We tried to explain that it was an accident, but he demanded that she paid for it and threatened us with calling the police. In the end we paid for the chair, because he was acting so agressively the it really scared us. I will never go back, and I suggest no one elde does so either.

Our stay was unpleasant. We were a family. The add said that Panglao homes have a kitchenette, however you are not allowed to cook. The management had all the reasons why you cannot cook instead of trying to give solutions. The rooms are good and comfortable. The "resort" is a little dark at night. Electricity is switched off once you leave the room to save energy.

Thank you very much for your review Mr Jacob Visser, even its a misleading and not truthfully comment or review. We dont make any advertisement for cooking oportinity in the villas, anywhere. Of course the electric will be cut- off, when you leave the room. Or in which resort not ? At the darkness operating here 50 pcs. lights in the garden area, parking area and walking ways. Anyway you have a house here in panglao, hope to meet you here to explain everything again.

Once I made the reservation I checked the policies of the infants because we were travelling 8 adults and one bay of 7 months, on Agoda site shows 3 to 11 years old are counted as a kid so they have extra charge but there is nothing mentioned for the younger than 3 years old so I imagined that a baby of 7 months was not counted since all the hotels that I stayed an infant stays for free. For our surprise when we checked in they saw that we had a baby with us the first thing they told us is that the baby has an additional charge of 500 pesos PER NIGHT just for the occupancy, even though the baby sleeps in the same bed as the mother they charge you, we asked for a baby coat since there was an extra charge and they told us if we wanted the baby coat there was a charge of 1000 pesos per night, I never heard an hotel charging for a baby of 7 months, even I asked for a statement that could show us the extra charge of a baby and they show me papers regarding the occupancy for each room but nothing saying that babies pay extra 500 pesos per night, not even in the website. We were travelling from very far and we were very tired at the moment of check in so to be honest we were a bit rude with the staff but I found if inacceptable that a baby of 7 months has to pay for a fee or else we couldn't stay at that property. Apart from that incident at check in that made us a bit mad, the property is very nice with a big swimming pool and 5 minutes away by car from all the restaurants in Panglao area rooms are spacious. I would suggest the management if they are a bit empathic when you are traveling with your baby either you mention clearly that they have to pay or like any other hotel babies should be free of charge.

Dear Guest, if you read the child policy you will notice that minimum age of stay is 3 years, means kids under 3 years is not possible to stay in the resort. But our staff make an exemption in your case and let you stay with just an additional charge of PHP 500 / per night. Sorry if this was not helpful for you. Regards, Management

Rooms are very clean, spacious with minimal interiors <3. They also provide flat screen LD TV with cable so you won't miss your favorite basketball game or tv series. great swimming pool; the whole resort looks new. staffs are nice and accommodating.
If there is something that the resort needs to improve is the AC which is not so cold. and when you go out of the room, it always shuts down thus you have to give 30mins to an hour for the room to get cooler. Also, the wifi and CP signal in the rooms must be improved. The resort serves breakfast only. You may ride the complimentary shuttle service to the beach for lunch and dinner.
The resort is quite distant from the beach (5-7 mins. tricycle/motorcycle ride or complimentary shuttle depending on their pick-up/drop off schedule).
This resort is ideal for couples/family who wants to experience amazing tourist spots in Bohol, night outs in Alona/dumaluan beach but at the same time wants some privacy and quality time with loved ones. If you are looking for quiet time to rest after your countryside/sea/island tours and partying in Alona beach, then this is a perfect place to stay.

If you don't have to stay right on the beach and pay the higher prices this is a great alternative. A new, beautifully designed small mid range hotel option next to The Panglao Villas, operated by the same fine management. Stayed 7 nights and enjoyed their clean new pool, lovely ground and pleasant staff.
Downside is breakfast only and motorbike or tricycle rental to go to Alona Beach. Upside peace, serenity and good price value ratio.

Stayed here multiple nights found the resort very peaceful and relaxing.there is 24 hrs security on the property and all rooms have a personal safe to lock your valuables in. so no worries about something may happen Room was very spacious and clean.Pool is very lovely and at night the lighting is done very tastefully so that you can see the paths but does not overwhelm the night sky.
They have motor bikes for rent which are very reasonably priced and they have helmets to wear if you wish to use.
Tours are provided at the front desk and laundry service.
You can use their free shuttle to go to Alona that runs 5 times a day or they can call a trike service to pick you up and take you at reasonable price.
The staff and owner are all very friendly and try to accommodate any request or questions you have.
Would recommend singles to groups to stay here if you are looking to relax and be away from the hustle and bustle of the beach resorts.

+1
With some distance from Alona Beach, I like the location because it's crowded or busy. The resort itself is nice, well maintained grounds, nice rooms, nice swimming pool area, limited rooms so also not crowded. Honestly, everything was nice, except the staff!!!
To begin with, when we arrived on a van full of people & luggage, the security guard didn't even bother to get up from his seat to help. No concierge service. As we needed at least 5 rooms, I called them several times to ensure our reservations. I was told, over the phone, that they don't accept direct bookings and that I should book via Agoda or Booking.com. That seemed odd, I thought, but I did what I was told. After securing the bookings via the their preferred method, I called them up to confirm it & they said everything is in order. When we were checking in, I was informed that breakfast is not included but they offer breakfast, P300 for a lousy plated meal. They never mentioned anything regarding breakfast during my several calls so I assumed it's included. Other establishments are quite far & there are no fastfood chains in the area so you'll be forced to order their overpriced food.
The resort is a good 3 kms from Alona Beach so you'll need to be driven to and back. We availed of the free shuttle, we can easily fill the shuttle so no need to wait to maximize the trip but we waited anyway because the driver wasn't around. Eventually, we were shuttled to Alona Beach. I told to driver to pick us up around 8pm after we've had our dinner. The driver refused because he said he clocks out at 5pm & there's no other driver. In short, their guests are left on their own after 5pm.
They have 2 pools in the main grounds, a kiddie & an adult pool. Since I have 2 kids under 12 in the kiddie pool, I joined them. The unhelpful security guard told me that I wasn't allowed there, not apologetic at all. It would've been ok if they have a lifeguard who looks over the kids but they don't. They have a pool schedule of 8am - 8pm only, I respect that. Once we arrived back from Alona Beach at almost 8pm, I requested if we can use the pool until maybe 8:30 or 9 but they refused saying that they strictly follow their schedule. Again, not apologetic at all. There are ways to tell guests what they can or can't do & still be respectful. Your guests are your bloodline.
This is a classic example of nice establishments ruined by untrained staff.
