The 2012 opened Alona42 Resort is located in a central but quiet location. The western end of the famous Alona Beach is about 300 meters or 3 minutes walk. The modern and comfortable rooms are set around a tropical garden. All rooms have comfortable single or double beds, silent split aircon, electric fans, room safe and private terraces. The batthrooms are built to european standards and have hot and cold freshwater. To relax the guests can use the landscaped garden with tropical plants for soaking up the warm sun or relaxing with a drink in the lounge with bar. The resort serves breakfast, snacks and hot and cold beverages.

we had booked Alona 42 for one night first, so we could see if the room was what we were looking for. On arrival, we were given an unexpected welcome drink, which went down a treat. The front of house were extremely friendly and helpful. As soon as the room was ready I went ahead to check if it was clean and worthy of an extra 2 nights stay and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the room was in imacculate condition considering the price we paid. They had pushed the beds together and tied them together so they wouldn’t move and there was free bottled water that was replenished every day, the air con was in great condition and very quiet and they had a proper shower with hot water. I had seen the resort reviews on TripAdvisor and thought of booking the same as I couldn't find any good rating for the hotels nearby in the island. From booking till the check out process everything was amazing. Food was nice, room was superb, welcome drinks, location and property maintenance was all the way at the tops!! If I return I am coming back without second thoughts.

Booking our stay was convenient as it is listed by the airline as an option. At first, I hesitated because of the location but it turned out be my best choice. The place is cozy and away from the noise of beachfront. We felt secured and safe knowing the staff is very friendly. The german owner and his friends are also very friendly. They are easy to approach and they always wear a smile! The rooms are well maintained. Water pressure is excellent. Air condition unit is powerful enough for you to freeze. TV (although has cluttered cables) has hd channels. Bathroom is spotless. Housekeeping is good. The bar has many choices of beer and drinks plus you even get to meet the owner’s cat in the counter.
