The Bronte is the perfect getaway retreat, whether you're wanting a romantic weekend or a mid-week break. Two hours from Sydney, 10 minutes from Maitland and 40 mins from Port Stephens and the Hunter Valley, Polkobin wine country. The Bronte was built in 1822 for the honourable Mr Caleb Soul of Soul Paterson Pharmacy fame and named after Admiral Nelson, the Earl of Bronte. The Bronte was purchased by the current owners in 2014 and completely refurbished to its current luxury standard with an electric fusion of Victorian and Asian antiques.. The hotel is ideal for visitors to discover everything that historic Morpeth, Maitland and the Hunter Valley have to offer.

The Beautiful Bronte is my pick when travelling through the hunter. Everything about this property is superb. Morpeth itself is a stunning little town and the Bronte is right at the heart. Each room is a little different but all offer quality furnishings and fine attention to detail. The whole property is spotless, with a lovely welcoming, quirky vibe. The owners have truly thought of everything to make for a very memorable stay. Thanks to Jess for a delicious breakfast.

What an amazing stay! The service was impeccable, both Brad and Kerry were awesome. Lovely sheets, comfortable bed and pillows, lovely kitchen with a wide selection of teas ….. and the breakfast Kerry made for us in the morning made our entire stay perfect. We’ll definitely be back.

Wow we booked this place for our 32nd wedding anniversary and on arrival we were stunned. This place was just beautiful and all the rooms and others look absolutely fantastic. To the owners of this great place it is a credit to you what you have done and put into it. I would throughly recommend staying here to anyone and I have made this a priority for my family. I would also like to say that the breakfast was just delicious also thank you once again we’ll see you again soon.

Fabulous little historic bed & breakfast with gorgeous olde worldy interior. Bedrooms are super stylish and very comfortable. We stayed so we could spend an evening dining at Boydells restaurant which is an easy stroll from the Bronte. Lovely breakfast was served on the balcony over looking Morpeths Main Street.

What can I say! A rare 5 stars from me. This is a perfect place to stay right in the centre of attractive Morpeth. Clint was great to communicate with re reception. Clint. It was super nice to have the room made up each day and we loved the complimentary chocolate and other goodies and wine vouchers for the pub. The apartment was set up with everything you could possibly need, it was clean and attractively presented. Undercover parking too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I would give 10 stars if I could. My partner and I stayed in The Loft which was a 1 bedroom apartment and absolutely beautiful. The main house has been refurbished beautifully, the breakfast, hosts , location absolutely everything was first class and I can’t recommend more highly. We will be back.

Stayed just the one night with another couple. From the booking through to leaving it was a seamless process. But that sounds cold when in reality we felt like we were invited to stay at a good friends home and treated as such. Thanks Clint, you made us feel right at home! The heritage house has been recently renovated and has been done so beautifully. Our master suite was tasteful and stylish as was our friends verandas suite. The suites were beautifully appointed and the touches throughout including the port and chocolates in the cosy common area particularly thoughtful. Breakfast was excellent and the elevated veranda setting lovely. Do you get the picture? So much more I could say but if you have read this far you should be convinced and I have left some surprises for you to discover on check in. Loved this place, thanks :)
