stayed here during summer. the only good thing is the a/c. room was so tiny and doorlock is normal like most homes has. no keycard or anything to secure. shower has slow water pressure. food in the morning was ordinary, fried rice, egg and choice of meat. plus coffee and juice too. i'd say, it was a rip off when i made the booking online because of the enhanced pictures of the place. though the location is ideal for overlooking as it was near the cliff. my advice to fellow travellers, check the place personally before giving away your cash lol. as

How can i forget this place.. this is where my husband proposed for marriage when i celebrated my birthday way back 2014. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. When it comes to price it was affordable for a family celebration.

I've long been trying to find a nice night spot in Metro Manila or just past it that would allow me to have an overlooking view of the city skyline like in Tagaytay. Thankfully, I found Cafe Lupe Bed and Breakfast in Antipolo City to be an ideal venue for having a chill out time listening to live band music, enjoying KTV for P300 per hour consumable, and staying the night for a restful sleep after I felt spent. What's more, it has an outdoor lounge that has a stunning view of the Ortigas Center skyline where I had one of the best sunset views ever. Mexican food (tacos) tasted great and filling at its restaurant where I also had an avocado smoothie. I loved my Overlooking Room for its exclusive veranda that shares the same view with the restaurant's outdoor lounge. Moreover, there's free Wi-Fi and it's just an hour away from Quezon City and Pasig City.

Cafe Lupe Antipolo restaurant

We arrived at around 730pm,
Our order was taken at around 8pm. (After 30
Minutes of waiting) we ordered 4 glazed pork since most of the food is not available.
Around 9pm, a waiter informed us that our order was not available. (After waiting for almost an hour)
We just advised them to give what ever is available since we almost waited for 1.5 hrs already.
Poor service!

Firts time to visit Cafe Lupe... We were offered the 2 single bed room option which was priced for 3,800.. Someone from the reception area assisted us to our room and upon entering, we were just shocked on how ugly and small the room is. I understand that this is a hostel but we just paid for 3,800!! And I think the rooms in Eurotels and other apartelles worth 700 bucks per night are way better than their 2 single bed room. No windows, no free toothpaste and toothbrush only soaps! You cant sleep early due to the loud noise from the bands outside. Bed isnt comfy, the room just feels so crowded, interior doesnt look good.. Everything in our room doesnt seem to fit their 3,800 price! Im sorry but we really didnt enjoy our stay, not worth our time and not worth our money.

The only good about this place is their food (and KTVs I think..) NOTHING ELSE. Not recommending staying in their 2 single bed rooms, it sucks! If not for the food, I wouldve given them a zero star.

WE ARE NOT GOING BACK!

I'll start with the good. Myself and my partner had previously stayed in one of their overlooking rooms back in 2019. The room felt very old, but the good food and customer service provided made for a great stay.

Once they reopened in late 2020 from all the pandemic closings, we wanted to get back out wnd support businesses we had previously enjoyed before the pandemic, so we started inviting friends to hsng with us there. The service st that point was barely there, but the food was still great along with the live music performer. We found out that during the pandemic period, they had been renovating the property and now had some suites that were overlooking with a much more updated look snd feel to them (from the photos online). So we decided to book one for two nights on Valentines weekend 2021.

WELL I REGRET BOOKING THAT SUITE BIG TIME

I feel like such a fool in the end. The whole weekend there was one let down after the next and so much money being spent TRYING to have a great time. First off, even though I saw they were charging 10,000 pesos per night, I knew it was too expensive, but I love the view and just really wanted to support. Honestly, those suites, once we finally saw them, were still under construction. No phone, no outside lighting installed, no wifi. With no phone, there's essentially no room service unless you walk down three flights of stairs just to find someone to let them know what you want. How can you relax with that? Also, with the rooms being the most expensive on the property with no phone, they should at least have had someone designatwd to check in with them periodically, but no such thing occured unless you first took the time to go walking up and down flights of stairs to find someone.

We paid for a data plan on one of our cell phones just to connect wifi to their tv so we could at least get netflix and such. Then on the last day, we planned to use the videoke room. Had already confirmed with one of the workers what time we had it for snd everything. When the time came, they told us it was given to someone else. They also said they had another bigger room they could give us on the second floor (all other videoke rooms are on ground floor) and they said the room on the second floor was goinv to cost us an additional 1,000 pesos which made it 4,500 pesos just for a few hours of videoke. I said ok sure since it's all consumable anyway and we love the food.

Well, we finally see the room they gave us and it was essentially a storage room where they kept a bunch of old broken down chairs, ping pong tables and whatever other random things they just throw in there pretty much. They didn't bother to rearrange the room to make it look in any way decent. So there we were again, paying for another more expensive room at this place just to be treated horribly. I believe the room rental was about 3 or 4 hours.

We saw a waiter maybe 3 times. Time number one was when we first got in there snd placed our first order. Time two was delivery of our order seemingly an hour later. Time three was when they came back after not seekng them for HOURS and we had been waiting to order more drinks and such. The waiter that time only came basically to let us know last call for ordering ANYTHING had passex about an hour or so ago at that point. So we lost out AGAIN. By that point I was so over it and so disappointed in a place I had really loved up until tjat time and was doing my best to support.

No way should those suites cost that much even once they are fully finished being renovated. How can those suites justify costing as much if not more than the 5 star hotel Shangri-La or even the Sofitel in Manila? Makes no sense no matter how you try to say it. I just wanted to support a place I felt had great potential, but was hugely let down.

Seems that since the pandemic, the customer service overall has declined tremendously. It's like the workers generally have a presence about them that they really don't care about anything at all snd it's a crying shame for the guests.

From what I'm told, we were the only ones staying there in the suites as paying guests that weekend so if they see this, they will surely know who I am. I thought long and hard on whether to post this, but it really just has to be said. I don't hate any of them, but I had to come and tell the truth of current reality about this place.

Overall, 20,000 for the suite, 4,500 for videoke and 4 or 5,000 more on other things bought there brings me to around 30,000 pesos spent with them on a horrible weekend experience I will not soon forget, unfortunately.

A very nice place to stay in Antipolo plus you’ll get to enjoy the Manila skyline during night time. Serves palatable food at a very affordable price. Good food, great entertainment and accommodation. Ideal for those people who are soul-searching! 😉

We went to luljetta’s hanging garden spa. After having a massage at their spa, I saw an ad/video showing “must visit places in antipolo” and one of them was cafe lupe. We decided to have our lunch there. Upon reaching the cafe we immediately saw that the building was old and seemed like it was not being taken care of. The floor tiles and ceiling were faded, the tables looked old and needed repainting, one of the sofa chairs had cigarette ashes on it. The overall ambience of the cafe was dingy even the outside seating as well. Food was way too overpriced for its quality, we ordered chili cheese fries that needed a little bit more salt to taste and more cheese as well, and the meat was undercooked. The tapsilog was mostly made up of ligaments (litid), which is a no no for people like me who dont eat ligaments. The pork sisig was ok. The staff weren’t too accommodating. It was hot in there and there were flies swarming our table but not one staff bothered to assist us, we had to open the fan ourselves. Overall experience is a negative and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.
