Well, I was hoping I get to have the same feel of the first time I was here. My review this time around is not as good as my first one. Normally, the reasons I come back to a place is because of the people and it's services offered. Shame, this time I didn't feel that warm welcoming effect from anyone at the hotel. Even the owner didn't even say hello while she dine with her friends at the pool side one evening. Also the next morning, she didn't even say hello to any of us? (My husband and I were having breakfast, and have a couple of my nieces with me that morning).... Our room was steep and narrow stairs to get to. Inside the room was very tiny, my husband can almost touch the ceiling. It was really a cramped place with one small bed. I'm thinking that was a (maids room)? My…
We went to camping right after shift so I assumed that we will be tired the next day so I booked a hotel near the site. I looked online and found this place with good reviews and affordable price. All positive reviews are indeed correct. I messaged them in FB to request for early check in and they politely declined it as it is not possible but they allowed us to come early, stay, used their bathroom to change from camping, eat and relax. They have very attentive staff and cute cat and dog that roam around. It was already a very comfortable stay with delicious meal even before we entered our room. When it's already time to get in to our room the staff informed us of the house rules, it's in the paper they gave us to sign so you won't forget. House rules include pool time and…
This bed and breakfast is located at a private subdivision and it is advisable to have your own car going here. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accomodating. They also said that the owner lives here and is very strict about their no smoking policy, which I like. I am pleased to know that this bed and breakfast will make you aware of the house rules and you will have to sign a contract that you were made aware of their policy. For me this would prevent unruly and unacceptable behavior of guests. I was amazed by how the place was architecturally planned since rooms were located in such a way that the guests will have the privacy that they needed. I love the chic interiors and faintly quirky vibe at the pool area. The Indian Room, where we stayed, was decent in size,…
I was looking for a good place where we can have a quick escape from the city life and found this Date and Dine Resort which has a good rate from Trip Advisor which we proves highly recommended. Upon arrival in the hotel, we are warmly welcome by the staff and lead to our room. We are lucky enough to be included in their promo and our room was upgraded into a king size bed with balcony which is very cute. I like the Zen room so much that I would'nt want to go our anymore. The room was clean from the bed sheet to the bathroom. My husband love the interior design of the house. You don't need to look for a place to have a good shot because every corner has a unique design and perfect for picture taking. I love the different plants around the area which complement on the big pool in…
I stayed at this hotel while doing some work with a local NGO. It was in a great location - nice and peaceful and the staff were very helpful and kind. They always organised tricycles for us to travel every morning to our work. They also were very attentive, offering water, fans etc. when we were sitting outside. The room was very nice but the highlight is the pool area. There are lots of seating areas and it is very peaceful. The WiFi is also very good. There is a beautiful view over the whole city.
We had an overnight stay in the Rustic room coz that's the only room available when we booked. It was simple yet comfortable room for two except for the centepede above the air condition unit which I think came from outside the room. (I hope the management can do something to stop or reduce the centipedes roaming around the resort.) The staffs were all friendly and attentive throughout our stay specially when we had our dinner. My boyfriend gave a little surprise cake for my birthday and they see to it that we enjoy our mini celebration. I also loved the music played in the resort. The pool is clean but it's better if they can provide a bigger and more absorbable towel for the pool and in the room as well. Food is average, we tried their beef caldereta and adobo. Breakfast is…
It would be very convenient to stay here if you had a car since it is inside a subdivision. Our stay was relaxing. The room isn't that big since we got the Indian Room (which doesn't look Indian at all) but it's nevertheless a good choice should you want to get a partial view of nature and the Ortigas skyline I appreciate that their staff was very accommodating to our requests, especially with the surprise I set up for my wife. Just a heads up, it may not be ideal if you are with the elderly or pregnant companion since it's a steep way up to the gate from the rooms. We ordered pizza and beer in the evening. Not the typical type of a Pizza since they precook the veggies (onion and bell pepper etc). It kinda tasted like "ginisang pizza" to us.lol Verdict? Great place to stay…
To celebrate our first anniversary, my boyfriend and I headed to Antipolo for some peace and quiet. It was a good thing that Date and Dine Resort was tucked away from the busy and noisy streets of the city. On the outside, this hotel-slash-resort looks like a simple house. But on the inside, well, I thought I was in paradise! The pool was calm and inviting, the tables were all candle-lit, the music was relaxing, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the cool breeze was just perfect for a romantic night. The rooms were located inside the house beside the pool. But aside from the restaurant, Date and Dine also has a spa, gym, and barbecue area. Unfortunately, we were not able to take a lot of photos. But if you want to have the same wonderful experience that we had, I suggest…
Stayed here not to relax but for an event the family was attending nearby. Rooms were very clean. Cabinet hinges creaked a lot (maybe use WD-40?) -- minor annoyance at night when trying to sleep and somebody gets something inside the cabinet. Bathrooms covered the basics. No tub though but hot shower was available. Soap was paper-thin so bring your own. They replace it daily but sometimes, I just want to hold something substantial on my hand and not wonder if it fell off or stuck to me. :P They also had two towels available. Sheets smelled wonderful (FabCon?) but not chemical-ly toxic. Breakfast food wasn't eventful but you should have the Beef Caldereta (maybe spice it a little bit more for some kick) and spaghetti on other meals. pesto was so-so. Room and terrace had…
In a nutshell, Date and Dine is a place you go to when you want to escape the business of Metro Manila, assuming of course you're too busy to really make a trip farther than Antipolo. The House is nice and the way the place has been set-up shows that the design has been thought-out really well.. All in all, it's quite an instagrammable place. Though it makes for a great date place, it's no where near a "dine" place as many of the locations in Antipolo are. A good place to chill-out by the poolside (on a good clean-pool day). Location: The place is in Beverly Hills Antipolo, about 30 mins (realistic) drive to Taktak, Robinson's and Teresa. It's about 1hr 30 drive from Manila. The place CAN offer a typical antipolo weather, good when it's good, typical Manila weather on any…
