Detailed Reviews
1. There were only three basic meals for dinner: Korean Beef Stew, Chicken Teriyaki and Chicken Inasal. We asked if we can order anything else, but there were no other meals available. We initially thought they had a wide selection of food because they apparently have a restaurant which they called the 'Hollywood Steakhouse'. There were no available drinks as well. It looks like the restaurant only operates when there's banquets and big reservations.
I ordered Korean Beef stew and it was too gingery. The meat was also hard to chew.
The only available food for lunch is cream dory. It's a breaded dory with sweet and sour sauce.
We had high expectations on their food since they have a culinary school and their own restaurant.
2. The room was clean, and the design and lighting did not disappoint. We asked for a foot rug to be brought to our room, and we were horrified when we unfolded it -- they gave us a used and dirty rug.
3. They did not inform us that there was no available astronomer when we booked. We weren't able to avail of the star gazing activity -- which was the major reason why we booked there. They did not give us any rebates. They just told us that we can just go back anytime to avail that.
4. There's no wifi. Their DSL was busted during our stay.
5. There are better hotels with good food and better service at 6k plus.
6. The manager, Froilan Peter, was accommodating and pleasant.

We celebrated our first year anniversary in Seven Suites Hotel, sort of a stay-cation just to rest and recharge and spend time with our little one. Here's me and my husband's combined review.
Hotel Room:
Design wise, it was ok. We liked that the room we got (Celestial) has a view of the OL Antipolo. Unfortunately, it rained so we did not get to see a good sunset view. However, the floor was dirty. We were surprised that when we stood on the bed, we left dirty foot marks. Sheets were clean and smelled good, like fresh laundry, so that was good enough for us. The room itself was not that remarkable. Our bed had that custom-made headboard which was good for our infant daughter who liked crawling in the bed. The bathroom had an enclosed shower with hot water and provided toiletries.
Food and Ambiance:
Their restaurant, Sugar, offered limited food choices but we were surprised that it tasted really good. I ordered the Burger Steak and the hubby ordered Chicken Teriyaki and we both had Mango Shake. We were satisfied with the meal. The hotel had this rustic feel but the construction of the furnitures were not as great as other hotels who were in the same category. We noticed that the hand rails were poorly constructed. There were also paintings all over the hotel. There was a cove that was beautifully arranged.
Staff:
Staff were really friendly and courteous. From the guard who helped us to park, to the receptionist who helped us to our room. The staff in the restaurant also were very nice and helped us with our every need.
Amenities:
The hotel provided free wifi, but the signal was very weak. There was also a pool but we were not able to use because we decided to just lounge in our room AC was working well. Since it rained, we were not able to avail of the Observatory tour. My husband played pool while waiting for our food.
Overall, we give it a rating of 3 because the service compensated for whatever was lacking in the hotel.

Had to leave after a nights sleep. The service was slow and at times it felt like they were students practicing at the hotel, you'd see that puzzled look when you request or ask for something.
The view that would be the redeeming factor of this hotel.
This hotel has 5 floors, but it is missing something called an "Elevator". I feel sorry for those people who are bound to a chair, they would never get the chance to enjoy the night sky.

I booked ALL ROOMS at this hotel for TWO NIGHTS for our wedding. It was a disaster!
1. Upon check-in, some keys didn't work. Other guests had to wait to have it fixed. The bride was given a key that works on other doors but didn't work on her door.
2. During breakfast. We were only given tocino, rice and coffee (no option for tea). We specifically told the hotel that most of our guest are coming from Russia and Europe. NO OPTION FOR CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST. The coffee they served was NOT hot.
3. The groom (that's me) was not served breakfast! They said that breakfast is only served till 10am. I ordered at 930am. I waited for 30 minutes until they told him that they cannot serve him food. WE ARE ONLY TALKING ABOUT ONLY FRYING TOCINO.
4. The next day, they served fried bangus to our foreign guests. They have no sensitivity that most Europeans don't eat rice for breakfast and they did this twice. We had to bring our guests to next door restaurant. But we had to wait for 30 minutes until the restaurant opened.
5. Building construction was on-going during wedding. Group of workers stayed near the honeymoon suite and made guests uncomfortable (esp the bride & groom). They even spoke to my wife (bride) in Filipino and said something like "party party!" My wife is Russian and cannot speak Filipino.
6. Two of my guests requested for a taxi and got a nod from the reception. Guess what, both of them never got their taxis. Employees were always on FB and were not happy to answer guests' inquiries about the hotel and area. It was the street sweeper who helped my guest get a taxi even if he didn't speak English.
Although our wedding ceremony went very well (the caterer/waiters were commendable). The hotel and events organizer were incredibly inefficient and rude. Two events planner resigned during our planning. The manager was not apologetic when she was charging me corkage for "basic" instruments. We had a long debate on inclusion of sound system in our contract. They insisted it's not included. They only retracted when they finally saw the original contract. It's an embarrassment! I have everything document in an email thread.
THINK TWICE IF YOU ARE THINKING OF HAVING YOUR WEDDING AT SEVEN SUITES OR CRAVINGS GROUP OF COMPANIES. If you must, save all your agreements and record your conversations. They cannot be trusted. You have to play it safe.
Unfortunately, I don't have enough space to narrate our frustrations with Cravings events. But shame on the management for making it hard for us. We had a very small wedding.

Horrible customer service By the manager! The hotel looks decent but too pricey considering its in the suburbs area. We stayed in the hotel because we got a promo deal and we attended a wedding, but to our surprise they charged us the full amount instead of the promo rate that they originally promised. The manager can't come up with a logical explanation why!? Very disappointing! The rooms are ok but the bathroom sucks. The pillows got hairs and disgusting. I'm not recommending this hotel!

We are very unhappy with our one night stay. We were scheduled to stay for two nights but could not bear another night. We do not mind the small size of the room, but without hot water and working TV our stay was very uncomfortable. We paid an amount that was comparable to what 5 star hotel in Makati charges. That probably explained why we were the only guests that night.
Our honest comments are aimed to give the management/owner the opportunity to improve the amenities and put value or charge in right perspective.

Stayed here last week for an important strategic planning with the company senior officers--and was sorely disappointed with a lot of things--the paint in the rooms were peeling and none of the rooms booked for top company officials were working in order: others have broken aircon, no hot water, broken down television and even doors that jam leaving you fumbling for the key for a few minutes before you finally decide to call someone to open the door for you.
The hotel seemed to be short-staffed as the servers assigned to us were from a Pasig-based branch (that's too far) and thus, have no idea regarding food, supplies or even how to turn the danged aircon on at the conference room.
Very frustrating considering they have good pictures on their website.
The food served to us were often times cold, and during the first session, we were served tuna sandwich that has a distinct fishy smell, the bosses ended up starving until dinner where of course, four people didn't get to eat cos the restaurant ran out of food. They have no ample supplies for additional orders and we were informed that what they have is just for the specific number of person we have specified. It's like they were not expecting any walk-in customers or guests since their supply is just good for a specific number of persons.
Rooms were not even well-maintained!

Response from jhoanamv, General Manager at Seven Suites Observatory Hotel
Responded Oct 27, 2011
This is in response to your September 18 reviews (PhilCare corporate function). For the record. 1. The strategic planning was arranged last minute and was specially accommodated. 2.The seminar budget is 57 USD/person for room accommodation, am snack, lunch, pm snack, dinner and breakfast (all plated). 3. The rooms are BEAUTIFULLY maintained and cleaned by Mira. We checked after discovering your complaint. 4. Your coordinator also checked the place before confirming the event. 5. It is our policy that if you do not like our rooms, you do not need to stay a minute longer. Refunds will be done immediately. 6. The quantification was based on industry standards. We were not informed of the special requirements for your participants. Moreover, we accommodated your requests. 7. There are four (4) reasonably priced restaurants in the compound. I really could not really understand how your bosses could starve and four people not get to eat. 8. Lastly, you signify your appreciation to the employees. But by uttering harsh and cruel words, and advocating others not to patronize the hotel, are you not squeezing their necks slowly to death. Best regards.

Overpriced. The rates of this hotel does not go with the quality of its facilities and services. Location is somehow good because it is on an overlooking site. BUT, since its near the main road, pollution and dust is all over its open areas. AND, the stinking smell from a nearby bus garage fills the air. The odor of engines, oils and smoke is so much to bear. On the rooms, very ordinary and the restrooms are so small (very not appropriate for its price).

We drove there to explore the place as we read about the review here.
It was Saturday, a weekend. We got there at 2pm, from the car park, janitor unlock a door then promptly disappeared.
We had to find our way three flights down to reception and next to it was the restaurant.
We eagerly asked about the food and dessert, to be told that there is nothing but only 5 pasta dishes to choose from. And only coffee but not tea.
When I ask the waiter what's their best pasta dish, he promptly read out the list of 5 from the menu.
I do not think the place is working as it should be, I will never return, as no employee seemed wanting to work.

It was a business planning for the executives of the Company .The hotel needs major repairs. Food portions are so small it is insulting. We had to order or eat out. Accomodation and food wise, please do not even consider. However, kudos to the staff for braving the complaints of irate customers. This hotel should be torn down and rebuilt and their kitchen should be demolished.
