Perfect place to chill and relax for a number of days. Unique, stunning view - if you are lucky like us you see a family of dolphins pass by- nice, well designed and maintained bungalows. Great food, with several Swiss specialties, pair it with a wine and you can enjoy the sunset and have a stress free time. The Swiss couple running it are very helpful and the stuff are impeccable. Diving and snorkel gear available, and the cliff is just in front of the resort.
This hotel may be slightly expensive, in terms of cost of stay and dining, compaired to other hotels. But must say, that I think it was worth all the money. Stayed in a fantastic cottage, with a sea view, lovely large rooms. The cleaning was very thorough. Internet works fine. The food was so good, that we ended up eating at the hotel every day. The menu consists of 2 starters (about 200 pesos) 3 main courses (about 500 pesos) and 2 desserts (about 200 pesos) to choose from. Was out diving / snorkeling with them, service was great, and the equipment was in order. The staff is very friendly, and well mannered. Lived there when the corona virus erupted, and the owners helped us a lot, in finding information about our return trip, would like to thank them many times. Is very isolated, so if you want to go out every day, it can be a bit of a problem, for us it was nice, because we loved the tranquility and peace.…
We stayed here for 3 nights.beautiful setting overlooking the ocean especially at sunset.because it is so isolated once you're there its not easy to go other places without booking their scooters or van. The roads there ( the last 10 km) are even too difficult for a trike. However the setting and the food once you're there are spectacular.
This was a beautiful corner of paradise, a credit to the owner. What a lovely surprise, hidden behind a rusty gate on a dusty track. Set in lovely gardens with views over the sea from the cliff side, it's fabulous. A series of steps takes you straight down to the sea and your very own section of coral reef to swim and snorkel. The rooms were lovely with a comfortable bed and a beautiful outside bathroom. The service here was the best we encountered anywhere in the Philippines. The staff really could not do enough for you. We stayed here for 3 days of pampering, rest and relaxation. The only downside here was that you are not very close to a town and restaurants. It is possible to hire a scooter here at a reasonable cost if you want to explore. We found the nearby roads to be quite challenging and therefore did not do as much exploring as we would have liked. Fortunately the food here was good, with a choice of three different starters, desserts and main courses each evening and a good choice of wine.…
We spend 5 wunderful days in kawayan Holliday. We enden up in the hotel due to some unforseen changes in our planning. From the first minute in the resort we felt really good taken care of. Very sweet staff that is helpful and takes the time to do everything the right way. No stress and no pressure in whatever is needed. Our children enjoy it a lot, and could spend all day in the pool. The rooms are very luxury. All is clean and functional. The house reef is still in good shape. Good snorkel and excellent diving. The resort is slightly of the main road, but all the way worth is. All the best to the staff from us, from Denmark.
Every second spent there is a treasure! Place, views, food, swimming pool, sunset, services are part of the best experience that I've had traveling. You feel like crossing the heave's door. Congratulations for the customer care! Congratulation to the managers and employees: Cherissa for the best presentation of the dinner and infos, Christel for the real customer care, Jessa Mae for the nice welcome that we had, Ceniza and Cecil for the best preparation of the breakfast. We will remember with pleasure all the nice moments spent there.
My wife and I spent 3 nights here and loved every minute. The staff are extremely friendly and ensure you get the most out of your stay. The island has plenty of attractions to see and enjoy but you need to organise a local van or use the resorts scooters to get out and about. This at first felt a little daunting but by the time you hit the main road you get a feel for the scooter and road rules here. It's worth the effort! The house reef at Kawayan is quite good and the resort has quite a good dive shop too. Very healthy coral and water clarity/temps are great. This reef has loads of colourful sponges, hard and soft corals. In fact the amount of Clown fish was astounding. Plenty of small reef fish and bait schools to follow around too. But not much in the way of larger reef or pelagic fish. We did see Banded Sea Kraits and Morays though. The resort rooms are tidy, clean and comfortable and would be some of the nicer accom in Siquijor. The food and drinks here are top notch and priced well for a private resort. The view and access to the ocean also gives Kawayan a great outlook whilst relaxing or eating. We highly recommend a stay here.…
What a place ! We have been astonished by the scenery of the boutique hotel. Placed on a cliff overlooking the sea. West oriented for a perfect sunset view. You’ll discover stairs that will lead you down to the sea, an amazing snorkeling spot right under your feet. Sea view villas are just perfect. Cosy and chic with very good taste. Infinity pool is gorgeous. You’ll meet the boss, Sylvio and he’ll share with a friendly attitude the perfect tips for a motorbike road trip around the island. Staff is very friendly and nice, always caring about your comfort. A big plus is the dive club. They have their own boat and Joey the dive guide will take you to their own private spots. Garden corals, tons of macro and fishes. A heaven underwater. Thumb up !
we went for a 3 day vacation to siquijor and friends recommended kawayan resort food was awsome and accomodation with a nice homy feeling with luxury beds and a bathroom i really liked managment is doing a outstanding job
We loved our 5 nights at Kawayan Holiday Resort. It's a very peaceful resort, on the cliff overlooking their house reef. Great sunsets to be enjoyed from the infinity pool (with bar). The staff are excellent, very attentive and good humoured. Jan and Cherry kept us entertained in the evenings! The food was great, with a different menu every evening. We did a SCUBA pool refresher and 7 dives with Joey, an excellent instructor and dive guide - thanks! Great life and colour on all the dives; we saw several sea turtles, lionfish, sea snakes, frogfish, triggerfish etc.. The dive boat is real luxury and they also have a newer boat under construction. Cherisa had fresh fruit and drinks ready when we came up the steps after each dive. The resort is to be commended for going plastic bottle free, refillable bottles provided. Our flight to Siquijor was cancelled at the last minute and the resort organised a chartered flight from Cebu, with van transfer on arrival. Highly recommended!…
