Citadelle Gorges is an ancient fortress built in the 18th century as a major tower to control the access to the Berber village Ait Ibrirne. The restoration of the Kasbah was started in 2011; it took us 4 entire years to restore each part of it as our aim is to make it an ideal place for travelers who seek the experience of the real Berber life. We are only 3 hours away from Sahara Desert.
The host is very enthusiastic! The food is also very tasty highly recommend The view of the restaurant is very beautiful, the scenery of the town can be seen from the balcony on the third floor A hotel full of human touches like coming to the homes of local residents Clean and tidy bedding facilities Sitting in the dining room with the breeze If you wake up early, you can watch the sunrise Here you can hear donkey barking from a distance, very grounded 😂 The host is very kind. My zipper is broken. Not only did he fix it for me, but he also sewed the broken for me. Refreshments will be provided for everyone upon check-in Mint tea is a local traditional drink, add a cube of sugar to it The aroma and sweetness of mint directly dispel the tiredness of driving and driving

The host is very hospitable and nice, highly recommend the rooftop for sunrise and sunset and the view of the whole valley.
We were two people and the room given us can accommodate four people and has air conditioning which is important. The surrounding was also exceptionally quiet. I had a good night's sleep.
The bathrooms were also clean and stocked with toiletries. We arrived in the afternoon, after 6pm, and because of the breeze it didn't feel very hot and was quite cool.
We had breakfast and dinner here, and the green bean soup was very nice, and the pancake in the morning were delicious. I recommend staying here if you are visiting here. When travelling it's really important to meet hospitable hoteliers in the area!

Fantastic hotel in a great location for access to the Dades Gorge. Wonderful value for the facilities and services offered. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. The upstairs terrace offers views to die for, and the rooms were very comfortable. For a very reasonable extra fee, one of the staff members took us on a guided hike through the canyon and past the Monkey Fingers, and then later took us on a tour of the village. It gave us such a special look at traditional Berber culture and we learned so much. Highly recommended!

My family of three spent one night here. The gentleman that greeted us at night and in the morning was very hospitable. The room was a little worn, but there was plenty of hot water and a heater for the cold night. Consistent hot water in the shower is so important after a long day. Views from the room window was lovely. Our dinner at the riad was very good. We had the best steaming hot lentil soup(the best soup of the entire trip) and the chicken dish was excellent. Our host asked if we wanted more soup which we gladly accepted. There is a fireplace in the dining room that was much appreciated as the nights are cold. In the morning, we asked if we could have eggs and they cooked some for us. It was a nice change from the usual breads with jams. The host was very kind and good and made for a memorable stay.

‘Not a tagine on the menu’ !! We called in for lunch thinking it would be closed, but luckily they were open and served us a lunch, a vegan lunch!!! The place was spotless, food good considering they were expecting nobody the owner very well educated and spoke excellent English. He explained how Morocco was almost all vegan before the 1990’s perhaps having meat once a week. We have a long way to reverse that!

Stayed here overnight while touring the moroccan desert. The owner was amazingly hospitable taking care of all our needs. Rooms/beds were great after a long day. Dinner and breakfast was very good and made a vegan option for my daughter. A welcome break from tagine and couscous. Watching the sun rise from the terrace was amazing.

This place is pure magic! This small hotel is the ultimate definition of hospitality. We enjoyed the way how we were treated as the family’s respected guests. Food is superb. The rooftop offers a 360 degree view for one of world’s most beautiful valley. Don’t forget to sneek down to the river passing by the secret gardens of baby figes. A short hike here is a lifetime experince. We are so grateful for this advanture.

A nice surprise, this unusual hotel perched at the top of a cliff where everything comes together for a very pleasant stay.
