Detailed Reviews
Amazing hospitality, thoughtful gestures and interesting guests! After a long drive, we were greeted by Bob’s energetic welcome and tea by the fire. Our room was so clean and toasty - the veranda was perfect for watching the setting sunlight hitting the mountains… and the stars at night. Dinner was one of the best meals we had in Morocco, a full course situation with meat falling off the bones and hearty portions. The location was perfect as well, so close to panoramic viewpoints. Definitely hoping to come back with others!

of all the hotels in the World, I have never felt more welcome than here - in a berber guest house in the middle of the valley in Tamellalt, Morocco.
Ahh, how I long to come back. And stay. Stay a lot longer than one night. These guys are SO friendly. I think they took "Friendly" to a whole new level. After a long and bumpy road, you haven't even stopped the engine of the car yet, someone is already at the entrance, telling you their name and "welcome, my friend", with the biggest and calmest smile on his face... taking it as a personal offense if you even as far as touch your own luggage (ok, maybe exaggerating this last part). That was just the beginning of what it tasted like to stay here. And the meals they gave us... Oh. My. God. I swear. The best dinner in the entire trip! This is what "made with love" tastes like.
The valley is full of amazing hikes. And if you're planning a route between Marrakech and Merzouga (this is where all the desert-crazy get their dunes high) - I beg you... no, I IMPLORE you! Stay here. Stay for a day or two.
We LOVED these guys and I cannot wait to come back!

Beautiful home stay with hotel like facilities. The hosts (Bob and his colleague) are very warm and welcoming. Bob even helped me and my friends hike through the monkey fingers conyon.
Also in terms of food, they serve freshly made home food which is a relief in cold weather. Their chicken tagine and harira (soup) are a must try.
Please book a stay with them in order to experience a unique yet comfortable stay

We visited Maison D'hotes La Vallee Des Figues for lunch, which was the best vegetarian tajine we had during our travels in Morocco, and for a guided tour in a nearby canyon and mountain. What we thought would be a one hour walk turned out to be a whole afternoon, climbing and walking through the most beautiful landscape we had ever seen! We came back in the early evening, while the sun was setting, feeling so happy and touched by the nature there. We even had a short break for tea with a nomad family before walking back down to the valley. This was the best part of our journey, and we are so grateful to Bob, our guide for showing us his world - absolutely unforgettable!

Wow! Our stay here at Maison D’Hotes was divine. We were welcomed with open arms from our host, an authentic Berber man, Bob. He greeted us with his beautiful smile, kindness and open arms. We instantly felt we were home.
The rooms were clean, warm and peaceful, with a cozy bed, blankets and heater. We slept like babies. To wake up and step onto the terrace, to overlook the most breathtaking and magical views of the Dades Valley, was mesmerizing. As the beautiful sun sets, the mountains move and the magic appears. Be still and enjoy this heaven under the stars.
The traditional food was absolutely delicious, ready for us anytime we were ready. Thank you Bob and the team for all your warmth, generosity, and engaging conversations on the terrace. Highly recommended.
Do not just pass by Maison D’Hotes, stay a night, three nights, a week, a lifetime.
We will definitely be back our dear friend.

Of all the places we saw during our beautiful trip, this is the only one I will really miss and the only one where I would go back in a jiffy.
It is one of those places where, after a few hours, you feel like belonging.
Young and enthusiastic staff, clearly in love with that magic place and willing to share its beautiful vibe with you, BY FAR the best food of all our trip and a beatiful location.
Thank you, now I can dream of myself reading a book on the balcony or by the fireplace, waiting for one more delicious diner to be ready.
Thank you Bob, thank you Ahmed.

This is family run Boutique hotel. Clean rooms, heater in room, nice fireplaces in the corridor. Food is cooked by the matriarch of the Ezzaytouni family. Elayd and Ismail are very energetic young men who take care of the running the hotel. Make sure you invite them to join you for some music and entertainment after dinner. Views from the rooms are spectacular.

Me and my girlfriend had an amazing time staying at the hotel. We where greeted and felt welcome instantly, the kindness of this family is overwhelming. Bob our host was an absolute legend and took us on a tour round some absolutely stunning areas that you wouldn’t know about without talking to one of the locals.
Over all we had the best time staying at the hotel, and give it 5* any day of the week. :)

Me and my friends arrived half an hour before sunset and Bob kindly proposed to give us a tour of Les Gorges de Dades knowing that we wouldn’t have time to do it the following day. When we came back with our new friend Bob, he kindly gave us a tea and joined us. The conversation we had that night was one of the best memories of our 15days trip. Thank you Bob for being so passioned and proud of your berber’s history and, above all, thank your for being so authentic.
Big up to Pipo (Bob’s dog & Dades’ rockstar).
