The rooms are comfortable and water pressure is excellent. Notices in the rooms alert guests not to waste water or electricity. It was good to be reminded to be mindful of this.
There are many reasons to praise this fine small hotel, the cuisine was chief among them. Dinner consisted of 4 course meal with delicious local flavors artfully presented, and graciously served by the host family. Second helpings were offered, and choices of herbal teas to finish the evening. Breakfast was also beautifully presented with excellent coffee, pancakes, yogurt, fruit and local preserves.
The kasbah itself is beautiful, really well decorated and tidy. The room we stayed in was big and comfortable, again with great taste in terms of decoration.
Mostafha and her sisters, who run the place as a family business, are truly welcoming. Right from the start they took care of us and brought tea and homemade pastry.
The dinner was even better, more than excellent. All the ingredients were fresh and organic, personally bought by Mostafha at the local market. The menu itself felt personalised, and we totally appreciated it. Each dish coming out of the kitchen was better than the one before.
To top it all, they offered us a relaxing herbal infusion, which we enjoyed while having a conversation with Mostafha.
They really wanted us to feel at home, and we sure did!
The food was some of the best I’ve had in Morocco, we had dinner and breakfast there. The owner was personally serving everyone and explaining all the (delicious) dishes. The owner alone is a reason to visit this place. He is kind and friendly, and takes pride in the place he has (as he should). When we arrived (my brother my cousin and I) had a room with three single beds booked, but he gave us an an adjoint room with an extra bed so we could have more space. (And so I could have some space from my male relatives!). Even while we were waiting to leave, he stayed and talked with us for some time.
Overall an amazing stay. I wish I could have spent longer there!
Staying here was such an experience I don't even know where to start.
The hotel is run by Mustapha and his family and it is actually a kasbah built by his family over many years. It is incredibly designed with amazing attention to detail and beyond beautiful. Every part of the hotel is a feast for the eyes. The rooms are very comfortable and well-equipped. There is a rooftop to gaze at the stars at night. Behind the hotel is the gardens/fields where you can walk and feel like you're in the Garden of Eden with different wheats, fruit & nut trees, rose bushes etc.
Mustapha's level of hospitality is unparalleled and he is a superbly gracious host. He is an integral part of the experience here. He also helped arrange us a full day walk in the desert/mountains with a guide which was really beautiful and special.
Finally, the food here is simply amazing. Forget about couscous and tagines, the dinners here are creative, beautiful and delicious... haute cuisine but done honestly and without pretense. The best dinners we had in Morocco were here!
My one suggestion would be to try to call them to make a reservation as booking.com doesn't always reflect the full availability they have (they're working on this).
Long story short - stay here if you can!!
