Detailed Reviews
The best food I ate so far in Morroco. The dinner had 7 different plates, all of them elaborated from fresh and high quality products. Comfortable room with central heating and great attention from the staff.

We booked this place through Explore Sahara Tours (see my other reviews). Hidden oasis a little bit outside Dadès with panoramic views, a rooftop pool and great cozy rooms with the biggest shower we’ve seen here. Hassan, the owner, is a very kind, happy and hospitable host. This place has absolutely AMAZING food. It’s traditional and everything is fresh and homemade. You can taste it is made with care. We have a ton of food allergies and Hassan customized everything for us. We also went on a trek the next morning with one of his staff member around the monkey toes mountains for a beautiful scenery. Definitely worth the stop!!! Thank you all

We stayed here for one night and had a fantastic experience. It was not only the location, the views, the architecture of the building, but the staff made it extra special. The owner and his wife were so welcoming, I felt like I was visiting family! The dinner was extraordinary and what I'd expect to be eating at a 5 star restaurant. Everything was freshly cooked and the pastries and bread came straight out of the oven!
Our room had a balcony with great views. It was such a pleasant experience to wake up to the sounds of the birds, roosters, goats, donkeys!
To add to this amazing experience was the "walk" by the river. Our waiter volunteered to guide us through, what turned out to be a hike lasting 2 hours, passing through ancient remains, mountains, river, fields. I felt like I had traveled through Hawaii, Utah and Arizona...magnificent!
After checking out, we decided to come back and have lunch there. They were able to prepare a fresh meal for us in an hour's time!
I would definitely recommend this place. I wish I could have stayed longer.

A better stay than expected, the riad is decorated with handcrafted details that make it unique. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and full of charm.
Dinner and breakfast, served on the terrace overlooking the valley, was a real feast of fresh and delicious local flavors. In addition, Hassan and the staff, always ready to help and offer recommendations on Top-rated places to explore in the region.
The location is ideal for those seeking tranquility and within walking distance to discover the most beautiful corners of the valley and the Dades Gorges.

We recently stayed at Riad Gabsi in Dades Valley during our desert tour with Sahara Tour 4x4, and it was fantastic. Hassan, his wife, and the team were incredibly hospitable.
The riad's mountain-side location provided stunning views, especially from the rooftop pool where you can see Monkey Finger. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had reliable hot water.
We loved visiting the kitchen and enjoying their fresh tangerine juice and homemade goat cheese. One memorable moment was when a member of our group received a wooden elephant sculpture as a gift from the host, who shared its origin from Algeria.
The 7-course dinner was a highlight, with heavenly dishes like mushroom and chicken. The staff's genuine care, including providing complimentary bottled water, made us feel like cherished friends.
Although our stay was short, we were touched by the warmth of the staff and wished we could have stayed longer to explore the hiking trails nearby. I highly recommend Riad Gabsi to anyone traveling through the area—it's a gem worth experiencing.

We highly recommend this riad! The rooms are great and very hygienic, the food is delicious and more than enough. The owners are the nicest people we ever met in Morocco! We came here without a reservation, but they greeted us with amazing hospitality. We were invited to join their family for a Ramadan diner, which was a delicious and extremely special experience. We are grateful we could stay here.
The host also helped us to get a local guide for a hike in the gorge and helped us book a riad and tour for the next day.
In one word: perfect!

What a place for a father-son stay! Location was fab, as from the roof you can see the garden, hills, goats and a temporary market.
The multi-course dinner eaten next to a massive stove and accompanied with tasteful music or (on one night) a live band could have been served at a seriously upmarket market restaurant.
The staff couldnt have been more welcoming and authentic. They even went the extra mile to make some remedies for my cold and Hassan offered to help us negotiate a difficult situation in Marrakech.
By the end of the holiday, my dad and I refered to Dades Valley as 'Happy Valley' in no small part due to Riad Gapsi and it's workers.

An amazing gem of a spot that seems by itself to make the trip to the Dades Valley worth it.
Besides the wonderfully welcoming, friendly staff that speak all the languages, the place is extremely artfuly designed and decorated. The terrace with a pool is lovely, with great views of the valley and surrounding mountains, as well as decorated very well. Having the welcome tea while sitting at this terrace next to the pool and fig tree is what you came to Morocco for.
But the MOST important thing about this place is the food. It's hard to overstate how surprisingly gourmet, unique, fresh, beautiful, and surprising this places dinner menu was. There were regular exclamations of delight from all the tables in the dining room. Well beyond 'traditional Moroccan', this was a 5 star gourmet take on fresh, Moroccan countryside fare. Best dinner we had the entire trip. Must recommend.

The Dades Valley is absolutely stunning, it is yet another different landscape of Morocco. We would have loved to have a second night here to enjoy the area plus Riad Gabsi Dades. This riad is in a beautiful setting, elevated so you get a great outlook and it has a gorgeous pool and outdoor area. The hospitality of the owners and staff is outstanding.
Our bedroom was clean, spacious and had its own balcony. The shower was large and was the best we had in Morocco – great pressure and hot!
We had dinner which was fabulous, it was one of the best meals we had in Morocco and was like being in a 5 star restaurant, they took so much care. The breakfast was equally as good and plentiful.
If you get the opportunity to visit Dades Valley make sure you stay at this property, you will not be disappointed (only thing is the wi-fi isn’t great).

This was my second visit to Morocco, and I’m thrilled to have returned to Hassan's and Sofia's riad! Their warmth and authenticity shine through everything they do, making you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive. The staff is incredibly accommodating and kind.
The riad is thoughtfully designed with guest comfort in mind. The rooms are spacious and clean, featuring authentic Berber decor and stunning views.
The meals were the best I've had during both trips, made with organic ingredients by the owner. The local cuisine is served with the finesse of a Michelin-star restaurant.
If possible, I recommend staying more than one night to relax, enjoy the pool, and explore the nearby hiking trails.
Thank you for making me feel your friend! Hopefully we will see each other again🥰
