We booked for two nights and due to the State of Health Emergency we stayed two months. We had the best lockdown experience of anyone we know. We chose this place as it’s strategically placed between the Valley of the Roses and the Dades and Todra Gorges, but I’d strongly recommend a stroll in the green countryside of the Dades valley, which starts only 60 m from the riad. It’s a fascinating blend of field, orchard, olive grove and copse all crisscrossed by countless water channels and dirt paths, and filled with birdsong. There are ruins of several Berber villages between 200 and 300 years old. Depending on when you go you could be treated to pink almond blossoms, fields of wild gladioli, sweet apricots, peaches or figs. The few farmers you’ll run into are very friendly.
The riad is small and beautifully decorated with a lush garden at the centre of the traditional house. The rooftop offers stunning views of the two stark mountain ranges; High atals and Anti Atlas mountians.
The staff is very warm and kind. It was really an unforgettably pleasant stay in this amazing riad.

What a surprise to go from the dry, dusty street and into a cool, beautiful, oasis-like courtyard of "Riad Dades Birds" with trees and shade, giving a welcome shelter from the sun. The rooms were furnished with traditional pieces, giving us a taste of something non-european and real. The atmosphere and staff were friendly and helpful, and as birdwatchers we liked the rooftop terrace.

We stayed here on our recent Morocco trip for 3 nights and wholeheartedly recommend this little gem. It's a great base for many things to do in the area (Dades Gorge, Todra Gorge, birding, etc.).
Our very spacious room was the perfect temperature even though it was hot during the day and cool during the night. The bathroom was amazingly beautiful and we had a little 'upstairs' part with seating where we could plan/review our days. The roof terrace and the little courtyard are pleasant at any time and the home-cooked food was delicious every morning and evening.
We went on a birding morning with Mustapha who knows his stuff and where to find the birds around here!

An excellent service, from the welcoming to the food. Rooms are beautiful, perfectly cleaned, colorful and comfortable; I really appreciated mint tea and biscuits at the arrival. The atmosphere in the riad is very pleasant and calm, it was like being in a secret garden with a terrace on the top. From there you got a nice view on Dadès and the sky. People who's working at the riad are very kind and caring. Thanks a lot to Brahim and the other guys who made our stay at the riad so special. Either you are passionate about birds or not, this place is 100% worth the experience.

A traditional riad with 8 rooms around the central courtyard which is full of shady trees. The rooms are rustically decorated and ours was large with windows onto the courtyard and the village. Very light and airy. The shower had intermittent hot water. There are many roof terraces with seating. Traditional Berber food, breakfast of yoghurt, bread, honey and eggs. Family owned and run by Brahim and Mustafa, who couldnt have been more helpful. The riad organises trips, birding excursions as the name implies.

A wonderful Riad, quiet, decorated with very good taste, my room was charming, with a comfortable bed and we were very pleasantly surprised by how scented it was. My stomach was grateful that the food was not too spicy and there was food for vegans. We stayed two nights while on a wonderful birding tour with Gayuin Birding Tours.
I recommend this establishment whether you are going to see birds, since it is very well located, or if you are going to that area without a specific objective. Also note that it has rooms for the whole family.

The best stay in Morocco. The hosts where incredibly gentle and the atmosphere was magnificent. They have also prepared for us a delicious dinner, teach us some berber words and we sung together after dinner! They are also in contact with local guides if you want to hike in the Dades valley or Birding in Tagdilt track! Highly recommended.

We stayed at Raid Dades birds Wednesday 3rd till Thursday 4th April 2024, while on our motorbike tour, this place and people very nice friendly people, room was fabulous, the whole place was fabulous like a little piece of heaven hidden away, Typically Moroccan style, definitely don’t be put off on the approach to the accommodation because believe us when we say it’s flipping fantastic and we will definitely be returning. Safe motorbike parking 100%. Food evening meal and breakfast can’t fault as very delicious and again Moroccan style. Perfect.
