Coming out of the desert and finding this treasure of an accommodation was a treat! The Dar is newly built from reclaimed material with a beautiful pool and massive bedrooms en-suite bathrooms. Starting with checkin mint tea and treats, because it is seculuded, dinner is available on premise. The dinner was divine with piped music. Starter with olives, bread, olive oil and various condiments. Main course included chicken, sides with lots of bread. fruit juices like kiwi, and wine available. Breakfast was delicious! Wished we had spent more time at Dar Blues! #besttravelmorocco

Tucked away next to the river in Boumaine Dades, this gorgeous, stylish hotel was the perfect place to spend a birthday. The owner, chef, and staff are super friendly and talented. The chef made a special birthday cake to follow an amazing dinner and Berber drumming followed. For foodies looking for style and charm and a gorgeous pool, this is your place!

My sixth time staying at fabulous Dar Blues and as always never disappointing.
Such a beautiful location and lovely welcoming staff.

The workers running the hotel are professional and kind. Fouad, Ayub, Hassan and the rest of the team work incredibly hard to ensure that your stay will be relaxed and enjoyable.

Fatima is the sweetest women you will ever meet and is a fantastic chef. Nothing is to much trouble and her cooking is delicious with a twist on the traditional Moroccan cuisine.

I adore Dar blues and stay here for both work and pleasure when i visit Morocco.
Mustapha the owner is an Artist and the attention to detail is incredible.

The swimming pool, jacuzzi and hang mats strung in the garden are great in the shade of the poplar trees.

This establishment is pristine clean and highly recommended with 5 golden stars.

Dar Blues feels like it was designed and built with purpose and vision. Beautiful interior and lovely, large, well appointed rooms. The bathroom was well equipped with a huge shower that comfortably fit two people. The rooms were filled with dark wood everywhere giving you the feel you were in some fairy tale lodge out of a Disney movie. the furniture and bed were expensive and elegant. The mattress was firm but not hard. The common spaces were just as lovely and thoughtfully designed, filled with beautiful eclectic artwork and found objects. The architecture and layout made it feel almost castle like. Beautiful pool and outdoor seating area. The staff was small but helpful and attentive. The restaurant was quite good. Breakfast was pretty standard Moroccan fare. Highly recommend.

Dar Blues is an absolute stand-out place.

We were expecting a good quality hotel but in fact found one of the most stylish yet laid back hotels we've ever stayed in.

The room was ample and beautiful - a great fusion of Berber design and modern practicalities. Comfortable, spacious, squeaky clean. We absolutely loved the attention to detail with bowels of rose petals, crisp quality linens and the wonderful window/shutter combinations.

Our evening meal was delicious and we had both red and rose Moroccan wines which were wonderful. The atmosphere for evening meal with dimmed lighting, background music and the out up pool and garden area was great.

Our breakfast was equally fantastic with great Berber eggs and a range of fresh baked items.

Cannot recommend this Dar Blues more.

This is a very quirky guesthouse set in a stunning location in Dades Gorge. The guesthouse is hand built with different levels, all the rooms slightly different and set amongst the trees.
Our room was generous with a large bathroom and windows looking over the treetops. The dinners were delicious and the dining room a mixture of Game of Thrones meets Harry Potter and I mean this in a very positive way.
We had an exceptional day hike with Ali up Monkey Finger Gorge and he could not have been kinder or more helpful. If you have time this hike is outstanding and should be in the Top Hikes in the World!

Wow. Just wow. This property is truly stunning. It reminds me of the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park with Moroccan flare with its dark wood beams, stucco texture, and beautiful setting in the woods. Our tour company booked this for us and I can’t believe how nice it is for the price we paid. We also had a 5 course meal that is one of the best meals we’ve eaten in Morocco, or really anywhere, and I can’t believe it was included with the room. If you have a chance to stay here you should take! Such a unique hotel with every modern convenience you could think of.

Go out of your way to stay at Dar Blues. The hotel is architecturally beautiful and perfectly decorated, tucked into the mountains and above a burbling river you can hear from your open window. We had one of our best meals in Morocco at Dar Blues, and were charmed by the level of detail put into making our stay memorable. But perhaps most striking was the level of hospitality and service we received -- Fatima and her team are second to none, and made us feel warmly welcome and at home for the duration of our stay. I just wish we had stayed more than one night!

Wonderful is not adequate to describe our stay there. Lush foliage, beautiful views, and well-appointed rooms, you feel like you are in an oasis. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The meals were delicious (we had both dinner and breakfast there). It was December when we were there, but the pool looked like it could be a welcomed break in the heat. Blues music played throughout the downstairs and it was a very comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. We highly recommend it!
