Stayed here during our Teambuilding Activity, rooms are spacious and cozy (we stayed in Rose #3, btw). The bathroom is also roomy, has a heater and bidet but when we arrived, there are still used shampoo sachets left in the shower. Maybe the housekeeping forgot to remove them after cleaning the bath. No wifi in the room though, wifi is only available in their reception area. Hotel staff are nice and accommodating. Will recommended this place for large groups/ teambuildings and not so much for leisure.

My company was here last summer and we had our team building. It is perfect for its natural surroundings plus the slopy and contoured pave roads. It has pools and function hall. It nature tripping at the same time enjoying the outdoor activities. However, our quarters are small and we have to be contented with our double deck beds.We were 6 in one room with a small CR.Hope it could upgrade its facilities to keep up with other resorts nearby. Its startegically located. And if one wants to check the PAWIKAN center, just move ahead its around 20minutes away and if one likes to do sidetrip at SUBIC, this is the way instead of returning to BAtaan proper and settle for SCTEX.

The charm of this resort lies in its simplicity, nothing fancy at all. I liked that it is surrounded by fruit bearing trees. The swimming pools have simple slides. The team building facilities simply offer a variety of activities. It may not be a beachfront resort but they can bring you to a nearby beach with white sands and very clear water. And beyond all these simplicity are their very accommodating staff. It's just sad to note that other amenities are not well maintained.

I arrived here with my family for only 1 night to celebrate father-in-law's birthday.
Checking in, we clearly disrupted the manageress'es lunch, which made her very abrupt and rude as I questioned the availabilty of the activities, something the hotel sold itself on, with their website.
After paying a reluctant upgrade to the best rooms in the hotel, as the more basic ones (still at php3900 a night!) were rubbish, cramped and inaccessible to my disabled mother in law), I expected a bit of service. With my whole family standing at reception, and the staff sitting to lunch, it took us 5 times to ask for a cold drink before my raised voice became heard.
From here on in, it was a crappy 24 hours.
1) NONE of the extra activities were avaiable: adventure sports were closed, beach!!! was closed. Spa was closed. Yet we still paid nearly 5000 pesos for each room. I was disgusted.
2) Everthing else that was avaialble, ie billiards, Basketball, was chargeable. My nephew borrowed a cheap basketball for half an hor. Boom, another charge on my bill! Seriously.
3) Also, if we wanted to visit the beach on our own, we were told it was closed and normally if open, we MUST take a supervisor with us from the hotel, and pay 200 pesos for each of us going there. Scam scam scam.
4) Although we were almost the only people staying there in the very remote mountains, that didn't stop mainly the staff blasting out a karaoke all night long.
I spent a lot of money booking this place, getting there, and paying for all the extras. Waste.
The saddest thing was I wanted to make it a special day for my Father In Law's birthday, and everything about this place made sure this did not happen.

Bah!

This overrated and over-priced resort is the worst resort we've ever been. Don't be fooled with their ads on the websites. They don't have their own beach and there are lots of limitations in using the resort amenities (pools with time limit, spa attendants not available, closed convenient store, limited menu in their restaurant). Though the staff are accomodating, they cannot give us alternate offers for us to enjoy our stay.

The resort is dated, food was horrible and there were all sorts of bugs inside the room and on the beds. We had to ask the resort staff to change the beddings because of bug bites. The TV were not working in both rooms that we were staying in. Could not wait to get out of that place.

I am very disappointed with this resort. We came in on an evening and stayed in for two nights. Here are the problems I had.
1.) Cable TV- We noticed that the TV in our couples room we have has only 3 working channels. The lady (I think she is the niece of one of the owners) told me that they were having problems with the cable. It was advertised in the site that they have cable. I believe that they should have the channels, as this was advertised.
2.) The food takes long to serve. We had problems with our dinner on the first night (took an hour to serve) and the breakfast the ff. morning. For the breakfast the ff. morning, I walked to the front desk to order it and have it served it in our room. Took 1 1/2 hours to arrive, and I walked three times. I also ordered a drink in advance for a specific time. When I came to claim it (I was even 10 minutes late, they have not made the drink at all). I heard several customers also complaining about the serving times. For one of them, she reserved an early morning breakfast the previous day. She wanted it at 7am, but arrived at 8am. It annoyed her, since her group/family wanted to go to the beach early in the morning. One of the visitors ordered some drinks to be delivered to his room. The staff totally forgot/missed it; another customer had a pretty similar order. It may have confused them. In fairness to them, when we ordered night during the second night, a staff was assigned to us especially that we had a couple of delays with the food. The food was delivered in about half an hour.
3.) Spa – I reserved a Volcanic Spa in the evening of our second night. I reserved it during the evening of our first night, and then reminded the staff the following day during the morning. It was confirmed. I reserved it especially that it required a 3-hr preparation from their end to heat the sand up (If you have an appointment at 9pm, they have to start heating the sand at 6pm). When I came to them 4 hours before our reservation to talk to them again about it, I was told that there is an event happening during the evening and they will use the Spa. Some designs have to be put on the Spa itself (a chair, some decorations). One of the persons requested if we could move it the following morning. I was already unhappy about it. But I told that we will do it at 6am, as we needed an early check-out. They agreed to it. I reminded about it. I woke up early to go to the spa, even though I am sleepy. But when I came to the front desk at around 6am, no one was around. So I decided to walk to the Spa. To my disappointment, the decorations were still in the Spa, and the sand was not even hot! I went back to the reception, and asked the sister of the owner on who will help. She told me that she called the person who will assist. But after several minutes of waiting, no one came. I decided to go back to my room to rest, and prepare for my checkout. This was very unprofessional, considering they already made a mistake the first time around.

I am very disappointed. We could have done more things if not for these kinds of problems. One of the other customers told me they are understaffed. This is not an excuse. They should have made adjustments to handle this. Perhaps hire more people, have a supervisor overlooking the operations closely especially these kinds of things. It’s peak season in the summer. They should have know people are visiting. For the facilities, I would somehow give them a passing grade. They have some pools, Jacuzzi, etc. The Jacuzzi we used first lost some water, the maintenance guy fixed it. Then it overflowed, and he fixed it again. He got it right the third time. The Westnuk Beach (15 mins away from the resort), it had a lot of jellyfish in it. It also has an enclosure; you cannot go to deep waters. It was stingy/itchy in the water but does not seem to be deadly. I was not able to enjoy swimming. Every few minutes I move, I bump into a jellyfish. A lot of people were handling the jellyfish, throwing it away.

As a tourist, I would like to have enjoyed my vacation especially when spending for a resort. I am very much disappointed with the customer service. Some staff tried to work hard to please us, and I can see they are trying. But this was definitely overshadowed by the other things that happened. When you spend for a vacation, everyone wants to get their money’s worth. Probably, I would have liked it better if I just stayed in, and save the money I spent.

I am from Wisconsin and wanted to stay here as some reviews were good. Looked nice online. Arrived 2pm. Rooms not ready. Cable box broken, shower broken, door to room wont lock! Decided to eat and took over 1 hour for food. Went to restroom in Reception and I was in a fly trap! OMG! Now the worst after that was that we were the only guests there and they had a CONCERT KARAOKE going on so loud it vibrated our rooms. We asked if they would turn it down. They refused. Now some karaoke is nice but this sounded like a cat fight!! We tried the pool but swimming with so many dead flies was not inviting. We went back to our rooms and packed up and left. We told them if they could be accomadating to their only paying guests we were outta there. I would not allow my family to be subjected to sub standard accomadations and treatment!

Hi Mr. Jamie, Thank you for your feedback. We understand and regret that you were not able to enjoy your stay with us. We would like to take this opportunity to explain and reiterate our side. As much as we would like to turn down the karaoke on your favor, Karaoke is offered to our guests from 9:00 am to 12:00 mn, which is used by our day tour guests on the day of your stay. The moment you have informed our staff that you find the karaoke inconvenient, we immediately asked the guests if they can lower down the volume and also offered you our mountain-view rooms located away from the karaoke area, which you declined. Based on our investigation, rooms were already vacant ready at 2:00 pm however as per our procedure, rooms are checked for the last time before we let our guests check in. Our Cable boxes are all purchased brand new. Television should be first set on A/V mode before opening the cable box. Should you have had any maintenance-related concerns, we have a stay-in resort maintenance team in charge for repairs. We believe that our staff has been accommodating to your needs. In fact, you were asked if we can do anything to make your stay worthwhile but then you told us everything was fine and just negotiated your account balance.

To get to Vista Venice we passed by Subic, the Pawikan Conservation Center, where my children had the privilege of releasing baby pawikans to the sea. We arrived at Vista Venice a little after check in time. Check in was a breeze as we had a reservation, the room was prepared and we were welcomed cordially. We had a pleasant surprise when we were "promoted" to a more spacious room, a superior room where the 5 of us each had double beds (and were entitled to free breakfast)! We had cable TV,aircon and our own bathroom. The aircon was sufficiently cool for the big room. The resort had areas for active people (the obstacle courses, wall climbing, zip lining, playground for kids) and areas for sedate people like us (fish spa, volcanic spa, massage rooms and 5 swimming pools). They also had fruit trees and a strawberry farm and we were able to bring home sweet strawberries. Beside the resort are cashew stalls. We had all our meals at the resort and our favorite was the buttered chicken, pakbet and sweet sour pork. All their staff was very attentive and courteous especially Rod, their admin head. I'm very thankful to Vista Venice, especially Ms. Diane for the fun, restful Bataan vacation.
