Wonderful Resort close to Dive center with very helpful and friendly staff. Restaurant has a good selection of food ranging from Asian cuisine to western cuisine. Rooms are spacious and clean however bathrooms could be updated. The shower is hot and has good water pressure . Room comes with air-conditioner which works great and a pedestal fan. Travelers to the area beware and bring lots of cash as town has limited ATMs which aren't always working and everything requires cash no use of card. So far we haven't seen any whale sharks but the pool area has made up for it as it is a great place to relax and catch some sun.

We arrived a day early but they were very friendly and accommodating. We stayed 3 nights, predominantly as we wanted a little R&R in between travelling plus of course there’s the whale shark centre next door to the resort. We only dined in the restaurant for breakfast, which was ok. We tended to dine out each evening at BARcuda where they serve fresh and very delicious fish and seafood, definitely worth a visit. That said, we spoke to other guests who dined in and they enjoyed it. The hotel was good, but a little dated and tired in places but perfectly clean, tidy etc. you do have to request room servicing but for a short stay we didn’t bother. The staff were all super friendly, helpful and smiley. A great spot for 2-3 days but I’d struggle to be in Donsol for longer, although it does depend on how lucky you are when you go out on the whale watching trip (we were lucky that they were sighted on the day of our trip) and we were fortunate to see and swim with them.

We recently stayed 4 nights. The gardens are lovely , well kept and the pool is clean. the staff are on hand and really nice and helpful. Going the extra mile to help with arranging SIM cards, taxis etc. The restaurant is okay, the food basic but they do do a lovely curry but the portions are small. The rooms are very very very tired. Cracked leaking toilets , sinks which also leaked and sheets which had holes in them. Air con is so loud you can’t leave it on and sleep. The problem is the staff made our stay enjoyable , assisting with the leaks and were so nice that it’s hard to give a lower score. The owners need to do some serious investment into the rooms instead of just charging high prices due to its location to the Whale Sharks.

Good reception by the staff and the location is quite quiet and have direct access to the beach with a beautiful pool. There is a restaurant with excellent service. The room itself would deserve a refresh as it seems a little old but depending on the reference of all the customers. All activities can be managed with the very kindness of the hotel staff!

My sister and I stayed here for a couple of nights this was after Typhoon Tisoy. So they didn't have wifi or cable TV as advertised (which was all good). Power supply was still not stable. The resort was nice, it had the view of the sea (which was not suitable for swimming) but they had a pool to compensate which was crowded in the early morning and in the late afternoon. Our room was spacious enough and clean. It had the garden view, overlooking the pool and the bar. The place was peaceful and quiet. The toilet and bath was neat enough, water pressure was okay. The AC was working fine but a bit noisy. The food and drinks at the restaurant was expensive. Breakfast menu ranged from 90-250 Php (90 for plain pancakes) and was still without any coffee/juice/tea. If you want to have coffee/juice/tea you have to pay around 40-60 Php. If you want to save on food, you may opt to buy or eat outside the resort (i.e., ride a trike for 20 Php one way fare to the town proper). The staff were helpful and friendly. But have to practice being more attentive to resort guests needs. They were dogs which bothered some guests during meal time. Management should keep them away for the safety guests. Lastly, they had a nice view of the sunset.

The first impression was very nice, the room decent and clean and the view is beautiful. The restaurant was good but more expensive than local restaurant and unfortunately there is not many options for dining out in Donsol. We tried going to other resorts to try their restaurants but nothing was open. Please be careful when renting a bike, especially near the diving centre across the road from the tourist centre. The guy asked us to pay 3000php for 5 days. You can rent a bike for 300php if you drive into town, there are advertising about it everywhere. We were also told there is only one ATM in town, inside the rural bank but we discovered a 24h ATM at the Local Government Unit. Staying in Donsol was peaceful and quiet and is a good break away from the city, but I wouldn’t recommend staying more than three nights if you get bored easily. There isn’t much to do in Donsol except snorkelling and maybe if you are lucky see a whale shark. P.s. The dogs were really nice.

Everything about this place is beyond impressive. No wonder it’s filled with both local and foreign tourists. Both of us was here less than a week ago and we had such an enjoyable and wonderful time that we almost regretted booking for only a night. It ain’t a 5-star resort yet the services were fantastic- from the friendly and warm staff, to the super neat and laid-back surroundings, beautiful sunset, lovely garden, even the dogs were friendly! My partner and I separately posted pictures in social media and each of us has been getting inquiries and we’ve been insistingly recommending it to friends since then! One piece of advice though, a night is not enough!

A place to unwind, relax and recharge. Very hospitable staff and locals. Whale shark watching is a must (though we were'nt able to dive since my eldest daughter is a bit afraid of friendly giants) and so as firefly watching at ugod river! A very majestic place where you can see thousands of fireflies and stars in the sky!!!

This is one of the fancier places I have been since travelling. Mainly because they offer a dorm options (3 beds in a big room, with big beds) at a resort with swimming pool. Some things are a bit rundown, mainly the bathroom, but I dont mind for the price of not even 10 euro (500 pesos). The food at the restaurant is good and they have nice happy hour deals.
