Long-awaited return trip was as enjoyable as my first stay. This time I was in a suite, Jardin, rather than an individual cottage but it was just as private and just as quiet. Even had its own lovely garden path and a private deck. As always, a wonderfully luxurious base for a brilliant walking holiday: great spot to head either south towards the 1,000 Steps area, or north towards Mt Dandenong. Also an easy walk into Sassafras by either a bush track or the footpath that runs along the main road. So rare in the Dandenongs to be able to get around easily without a car. Enormously thoughtful hosts as always, and a spectacularly well-equipped kitchen ... puts my one at home to shame!
We spent our first two nights as a married couple in the Parisienne Cottage, and could not be more blown away by all the beautiful details! From the soft music playing, bottle of champagne and the most delicious strawberries awaiting us, to the freshly baked croissants and incredible scenery, we could not have been happier staying at Belle Le Vie. Our room was very clean and cosy, we will definitely be returning!
Eating freshly made croissants while listening to kookaburras - what a way to start the day with joy. What a special place to stay. As well as luxury and pure charm - and spa bath! - this B&B is in an absolutely perfect spot for walking. In fact I didn't have any idea just how good until I got there - you can wander down the road until you meet a sign indicating Clarke Track, and from there you can roam the Ranges, straight away finding yourself amidst Mountain Ashes and tree-fern gullies and wallabies and lyre birds. You can walk over tracks that join up to all sorts of special places, including the 1,000 Steps trail. Or follow Clarke Track around until it meets across the road from the Lloyd Track and the Sherbrooke Falls area. Breakthrough discovery was that the Melway app has all the tracks clearly marked, and as they are also labelled well on the ground, you can just take off and rove and explore, off the usual daytripper routes and into some absolute wonderlands. Also a big shout-out for the best public-transport directions I've ever had from an accommodation host, from owner Justin! Train to Upper Ferntree Gully, then connecting 688 bus with destination Croydon, sit on the right, watch out for the Sherbrooke Rd sign after about 15 minutes, and once you're past that, press the button for the next stop which is at Hilton Rd, where the B&B is. Unbelievably easy to get to. And a trip I hope to make many more times in the future, because this is now officially my favourite Australian escape destination. Thank you so much!…
A meticulously kept accommodation set in the heart of the Dandenong Mountains surrounded by native flora and fauna. The Parisian style cottages have all the facilities that is required for a self contained accommodation and the decor made for a romantic setting. The owners, Justin and Lin were both very friendly and hospitable and made us feel like old friends staying over. Very satisfying and will definitely recommend to people look for a relaxing retreat.
Overall an amazing stay. Very beautiful environment and gardens. The rooms were even better - luxurious, cozy and spacious. The breakfast provided was also very fresh and nice. A great experience and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a holiday or getaway.
