The sea view is incredible. Sadly that’s it. There are no facilities. There is no bar, no restaurant, no shop, nothing. Take your own food and drink. There is a beach cafe in Terrazas but it closes at 5pm, so you have to drive 20 minutes down a dark dangerous road to Club Punta Fuego for dinner. Why this place doesn’t have the same facilities as Punta Fuego is baffling. I’d consider this night here as a waste of money.
I would say the place has a great view since we got the Seaview room. The room is really cozy considering the spacious area with 3 BR and 2 bath. Unit was well ventilated with the AC working pretty fine. We cooked our own food to spare ourselves from expensive food and they have some cookwares available. Furnitures were kinda old but I don’t really mind since it’s for rent. The Amara pool was okay supposedly but there was a big group who just came from the time me and my kids went there so it was jam packed and not so much privacy there. We didn’t stay long as we don’t want the feeling of a public pool. We went tot he beach next day and it was okay since the sand was white but the water had a lot of trash. The road to the beach area is also very steep and going back up is a struggle for your car. The inf pool in the beach area was better than the one that we had in Amara since there were less people swimming and there was some class with the crowd swimming there. Overall, it was a great experience for my kids and 2 things made the trip worth it, The View from our room, and Jessica the receptionist who was very helpful. I just hope there was a mini store within the area where you could buy normal convenience store stuff. …
It’s my mother’s 60th birthday and she requested for a staycation in Punta Fuego so her wish is my command. We checked in at Amara En Terrazas De Punta Fuego and we were given Suite #10 Best suite ever! The room has 2 bedrooms with 4 beds! So amazing! Room was very huge and you can actually cook!!! The turtle pool and the beach at terrazas was so beautiful my kids really enjoyed :) we had bfast at San Diego in Club Punta Fuego (15 min drive) and the double infinity pool there was superb! Such a beautiful place! 1 night is bitin! We will definitely go back :) Worth your money :))
My partner and I had a great time because we started our holiday right! The beach, the pool, the food – amazing. We also want to thank the crew who took care of us during our stay and to Jesica, the receptionist who was very helpful. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and family. Kudos! 😊💯
We had an excellent time. The place was well-maintaineed and the staff were very accommodating. It was also kid friendly as I brought my 5 year old daughter with me. Will definately go back. Planning our next trip there already as I write.
My wife and I have stayed here a number of times in the past few years, while building a home in the area. Amara is a generally nice property and very convenient for us, also close to Nasugbu, but since we've started coming here we've seen a significant decline in both the cleanliness and maintenance of the units. Ovens that don't work, shower controls falling off, hot tubs that won't fill (or in one case won't stop filling), not a very clean feel overall, and a total lack of decoration in the units make them less appealing. And this is while we've seen prices nearly double in a couple years. Sorry to say all this, but it could be a very attractive place if management cared enough to do the necessary maintenance and cleaning.
I love going to the beach, while my wife does not, and so it’s seldom that we get to have a beach trip. 1 year exactly, since my last birthday. This time we didn’t get to plan in advance so we ended up booking Amara Residences because it’s easy to reach via a 2 hour drive from Manila. We arrived late afternoon and it’s raining hard; not a good start when your looking forward for some sunlight. The receptionist and bellboy were very courteous, helpful and accommodating. We entered the room and the first thing we noticed is that it’s meant for a big group. There are 2 rooms; 1 with a queen bed and a bathroom and the other with 2 queen beds and a bathroom. Apparently all units are built that way and can accommodate up to 6 pax. We booked for 2 and extra guest is charged PHP 1,800 per night (w/ breakfast). Apart from the size, the unit comes with a jacuzzi, cable TV, kitchen amenities (including mini kettle, microwave oven, red and electric stove). I kid you not, we were overwhelmed by the huge space. Beach access is a minute drive away down a steep road which is also the location of its cafe. Food is fine, not great but then what strikes us again is the attitude of its staff. Very impressive. Even to the reception at the beach area. Punta Fuego must’ve hit a jackpot in getting the right people manning its day to day activities. One can see that the unit would need minor repairs in its equipments as we saw some that have deteriorated and rusted. We’ve noted 1 major issue. Having a property in a mountain range covered with trees would surely make it vulnerable to unintended guests. We saw a lot of small ants waiting to infest our leftovers; and then I saw 2 big cockroaches in the living area and bathroom. I killed both while never telling my wife because that would totally ruin her day. Overall, our stay was good due to the space of our unit and the customer service. However we highly recommend improvements in the units to address the issues mentioned.…
Reservation made and paid but when I got there, I was not allowed to enter main gate because my name is not listed until clarified and some apologies. Then my room was already given away, so I had to stay in a downgraded room, and offered a refund. But Agoda's refund turned out to be a "gift card," which expires in 3 months. If you want stress about reservations and actually getting your room, then stay here!
The condo is too old, we stayed at sea view the aircon is too weak and the food dahhh it has no taste at all the only thing i love this place is the pool and the front office the are so accommodating. take note you need a car when you go to this place, the pool and the beach is too far from your unit and also if you want to avail a buffet breakfast you need to go to club funta puego and it's 30mins away from amara.. it's not worth it for what you pay! too much expensive ! and they don't have a wifi in the room.
Our family stayed at Amara en Terrazas for 2days/1night via a last minute booking - approx 3 weeks before the event - and it's peak season. I'll be honest and straight forward, the place is overrated. Imagine, 500 entrance for the clubhouse pool, 1200 if guests exceed the allowed guest per unit? And there was nothing special about the clubhouse pool/beach area. We actually decided not to avail this because guests can still access the beach without the clubhouse access, and the beach/water of that cove is well.. bad! It's not clear and there is trash everywhere. Even the area in front of amara. Don't be fooled by pictures. The beach is below average and trust me, coz I've been to a lot of beaches. This by far is my least favorite. The condo unit is just OK. The maintenance services did not add to the good experience. The beddings were not changed, no batteries and AC not working. This just tipped me over the edge after the booking fiasco with agent L.S. We were supposed to have a 3br unit for 15k but 3days before our event said there was a problem with the unit owner and they had to move us to two 2br units. She texted me cost will be 12k, thinking we had a discount and was even wow-ed by it but came the day we ended up in a 1 2br unit. Oh that's why it was lowered, our initial arrangements did not pan out. My only fault I think is we did not have anything on paper because I trusted her. She was afterall a referral of a friend's friend who also has a unit there. If only we booked earlier we could have used our friend's friend unit instead (sigh). Situation might have been better. The agent was even insisting at first that the unit was a 3br unit but the other one was a maid's quarters - we can be flexible with that (again!) but the room has no AC, next to the trash bin and the sheets are not yet replaced! What if we did have our angels with us, we would have not let them sleep there either! It's not right a d it's not what we paid for! We still tried to be nice and just took the mattresses so the kids can sleep on them in the rooms and so we asked for new sheets. Of course, the sheets did not come - talk about BS customer service! Honestly I was so pissed off and she did hear a lot from me about it. In the end, she did say sorry and gave us additional discount but that did not matter in the end because they already ruined our vacation - big time! In the very first place, we were willing to pay no matter how expensive it was. Given that what we are after a fun-filled, stress-free vacation. Thanks to my family - it remained to be fun-filled. But the stress - free part.. no thanks to you Agent L.S.! Now for the resort itself, as mentioned, the beach is not superb - both water and sand. The pool, beach front, are just okay. A lot of people in it in the resort itself. Maybe because it's peak season at the time. The pool at the condo unit itself is better compared to the resort's pool cause it was less crowded so we stayed there instead, it's not that big though. It does have its kiddie part of the pool, which is always a big plus for me, having the kid and nieces/nephews with us. There's a lot of steep roads. You need to have a car to move around, otherwise the elderly and kids will have major difficulties. I have nothing more to say about the resort. Maybe the resort would have had a better review from me if it weren't for the booking fiasco and bad customer service. I did learn a hard lesson on this, book through the resort itself or just get a hotel next time and most importantly avoid last minute bookings...…
