I visited Villas Jinesta for a couple of days. The staying was so confortable and pleasant. Villas are equipped with necessary stuff in kitchenette. Air conditioning worked without any problem and I enjoyed my early morning breakfast at the balcony hearing birds in the closest trees! <3 Eddy’s attention was so good, he is very helpful and kind. The location is terrific! You can visit all the beaches without long road trips.

I booked the room and chose the option to pay when we check in. I received an email letting me know they had charged my card, which I did not select and was bothered by. We ended up having to cancel the reservation. I spoke with two people who informed me they would refund me the full amount minus a fee. At this point, they tell me the person who does the refunds is gone for the day. I was not happy since I wouldn't have had to wait for my money had they honored my selection to be charged when I arrived. Once I left Costa Rica shortly, thereafter, I looked at my credit card statement and there was no refund. I had to go back and forth AND make a long distance international phone call over the span of one month to get a refund which I am told only recently that I will only get $75. I am waiting on an international wire now but will not wait any longer to write a review.

I'm always looking for the best balance between price and quality and this nice hotel really hit the target. Located in a super convenient area close to local markets, restaurants and obviously some of the best beaches in the area (conchal, minas), this hotel has nice accommodations and amenities. The staff is super friendly and they will make you feel like home. The rooms are clean and well organized, during the day the hotel is perfect because it's close to the beaches and at the end of the day you can come back and relax in their indoors pool. At night the place is calmed for you to recharge for the next day. With no doubt, next time I come to Brasilito I will stay here!

We have been tricked by the hotel owner. While asking for more details before confirming our booking, we have been told (screen shot of the email below) that the studio included a "terraza" (balcony in Spanish) which ended convincing us that it was a good spot for a 4-nights stay. Once arrived, we found out that there was no "terraza" at all. The owner started arguing about the "terraza" definition and quickly sent an employee to throw a small sofa in front of our room, to pretend it was our "terraza". At night, this "terraza", which actually was the main passage area of the hotel, with zero privacy, was converted in a parking (cf. picture below). The only compensation the owner offered us, was 2 extra nights while we had booked in another city for these same dates. We felt really tricked and had no other option (hotel already totally paid and high season with no vacancies in the hotels around) than staying in a dark and noisy room for only US$ 199/night! Besides that, a bar is located just beside the hotel if you like loud music and karaoke late at night, and the road right in front of the hotel is a high traffic one, by day and night. While we really enjoyed all the places and hotels we visited in CR, all the nice people we met in this wonderful country, this was our worst experience ever.

Ended up here only because we needed a place for one night. We had a very small apartment. No windows, small bedroom, not much hot water, garbage just outside stairway, smelled bad. Perhaps this place just reflects the seediness of the entire Brasilito area. Eddie was friendly, but just that. We would not recommend this place. Payed a high price for garbage.
