Property's Favorite Review
Shangri-la was such a relaxing wonderful place to stay. Inkeeper Rose is so friendly and kind and helpful, going above and beyond.
The breakfasts are delicious! Usually some egg dish, some meat, fruit, and a carb like a muffin.
They provide beach coolers, chairs, towels, snorkles, beach bags.
The backyard pool area is beautiful, peaceful and relaxing.
We stayed in Travelers room, which was the perfect size. The view from the balcony is beautiful. The bed and pillows are a bit firm. There is a hairdryer provided. It's generally pretty quiet and peaceful.
You do need a car when staying here, but driving it's very close to good beaches, restaurants etc. We would come back!

This was our 3rd time staying at Shangri-La and again it did not disappoint. We love being in West Bay away from the Seven Mile Beach hotel crowds. Renting a car is must and it’s definitely more cost effective than
taxi’s. The drive to Seven Mile Beach is only about 10 minutes.
The staff as well as the breakfast is always fantastic. It was so nice meeting Fawne! She was a great host while Dean was out of town! The B&B is always well kept and clean. And you always get to converse with the nicest people at breakfast which is something you would never do at a big hotel. Would highly recommend!

This was our second time staying at the Shangri-la and it was as good as ever.
The new host Fawne was a real treat and made our stay very comfortable and relaxing.
The gourmet breakfasts were generous and nutritious.
We had the Bamboo room again which has a great sunny view of the lake and pool.
Gorgeous architecture and decor made it a wonderful stay.
Can't wait to come back!

Our home away from home. Where we go every single year and never look anywhere else to stay. Rose is an absolute dream managing this wonderful bed and breakfast. We always take her word when recommending new restaurants and are never disappointed. I must also say I HIGHLY recommend the breakfast add-on when booking—it’s delicious! Coffee and toast are always ready to go every morning, and it’s a beautiful thing to wake up to and grab.
Again, we can’t thank Rose and her team enough. We had another fantastic trip. See you in 2025!

Rose is a darling, always helpful and extremely friendly.
The house is unfortunately very noisy, our room didn't have any blackout curtains. Accordingly, it was bright at night and in the morning. They make an effort with breakfast, but there is a lack of flexibility. If you aren't downstairs by 8:30, you won't get fresh breakfast. There is room for improvement here. It is relatively cheap for Cayman.

We stayed at the Royal Palm room at Shangri-la bed & breakfast for 5 days and we had a great time. The bed is comfy, the breakfast is delicious and the staff was very nice. They even wrote me a card for my birthday and decorated the bed. They also offer chairs, beach towels and snorkel gear.

Stayed again last week and it’s still a lovely little guest house. The rooms are clean and everything you might need is available.
The manager, Rose, was fantastic. I stayed on UK time so up at 3AM busy working and she came and put the coffee machine on for me and a few hours later her mums freshly made muffins.
This was my second stay and will definitely be back.
Thank you Rose

We were upgraded just before high season and lived our room with a lagoon view. Rose and the staff saw to our every need. We enjoyed the screened breakfast room with the occasional parrot flying by. Chairs, coolers, snorkel gear, towels and more were provided.

The Shangri-la was just what we needed to relax and unwind! It was beautifully decorated and gave chill vibes. We stayed in the Royal Palm room, which had a huge bathroom and plenty of closet space for your belongings. Also, there is a door leading out to the pool and patio area from the room. The best part of the stay was meeting Rose! Rose is the host and she was absolutely fabulous! She is warm and inviting! She makes you feel at home as soon as you get to the property! We have stayed to many places over the island! This was by far the most relaxing and intimate!
Sincerely, the Scott's

Very diverse guests during our stay-all lovely! Aged 80’s to late 30’s with us at 60 the middle. Car is a must I think we spent $300 for week
There is not a gym at the B&B but they do rent bikes.
Yes the Papaya Suite can accommodate 2 couples. The Bougainvillea room is the one attached to the main suite. The main bedroom/bathroom is definitely larger.

Hello! Thank you for your interest in Shangri-La & in visiting Grand Cayman.
As our recent guests mentioned (thanks for your helpful responses!) all of our rooms are totally private with their own full bathroom.
The closest beach (and arguably one of the nicest parts of Seven Mile Beach) is just over a mile away (1.3 miles). You can walk, drive, or borrow one of the bikes we make available to our guests to get there.
We are situated on a lake and many of our rooms have a beautiful view of it, our pool and hot tub. Our property is conveniently tucked away at the end of a short lane, so you will find that it is very tranquil and relaxing, while being very close to nice restaurants, and the fun activities and attractions of the island.
All rooms are equipped with high speed Wi-Fi, a TV, mini-fridge, safe, DVD player (many DVDs in the B&B), hair dryer, ceiling fan (A/C in all rooms). Our two Suites feature en-suite full kitchens and a W/D. We offer snorkelling gear, beach accessories (towels, chairs, umbrellas, coolers, mats, bags, sunscreen), and a diver's secure storage area with a rinsing facility. We have a BBQ and hammocks for our guests to use and the B&B has a common kitchen, dining and living area.
Please don't hesitate to give us a call at 941-876-6868 or 345-526-1170, or send us an email if you have any more questions!
