Detailed Reviews
Have just returned from 4 outstanding nights at the Bower. We arrived on the coldest day of the year and found warm luxurious accommodation in the most calm, peaceful location imaginable.
The Bower is one of the best places we have stayed in during a good number of years of travel. While the location feels remote and private it is very accessible, being close to a good range of activities – beach, shopping, eating, walking etc .
The accommodation fits beautifully into its bush environment and is well designed. The presentation is very clean and comfortable while the provisions provided are most generous. Our host, Mark, was very swift to help out with a small problem and we were made to feel most welcome throughout.
We highly recommend the Bower as a base to either explore the Eurobodalla area or just to unwind and relax in – we will definitely be back .

We hadn't stayed here since 2009 so were pleased to go back. We stayed in the Gold Bower which was beautifully equipped with everything we needed including spa, outside deck and wood burner to keep warm. They have done an amazing job since the 2019 bushfires in getting the place perfect. We also enjoyed ordering the gourmet salmon which was easy to cook in the microwave. There were plenty of places nearby to bushwalk including Broulee beach and around Broulee Island. Good local cafe at Mossy Point and Smokey Dan's pizza and a well equipped IGA nearby at Tomekin.

My wife and I had 3 nights at The Bower. We stayed in the black bower and totally enjoyed our stay. We were given entry information and using the guest assist app got to our room without contact which is handy in current times. We wanted a quiet and peaceful break away from all the hustle and bustle and The Bower didn’t disappoint!! Very private with everything you need already in place including bird feed for the local rosellas. The bush is regenerating after the bushfires and will only get better.
The area is fantastic with the bush and the beach about 1km away it’s the best of both worlds. Mogo Zoo is 5 minutes away and a must and we had a great time at the Tomakin Sports and Social Club 2 minutes away with great food and ambiance.
We will definitely return to The Bower thanks for a brilliant break.

We booked a spontaneous getaway to the Bower, and what a gorgeous place it is!
We stayed in the White Bower, nestled amongst the gum trees and ferns. We had a private deck complete with BBQ, table and chairs and sun lounges.
The bedroom was beautiful. High ceilings, large windows, ceiling fan and air con above the bed. The king bed was an ACTUAL king bed, not 2 singles zipped together, and it was super comfy!
The bathroom was amazing - I now want to take all my baths in a tub with a nature window! My husband appreciated the scented body wash/shampoo/conditioner/lotion, it was lovely and high quality.
The whole Bower was very well appointed and decorated tastefully. Everything was modern, and WOW, the level of cleanliness was next level. Not a stray hair or cobweb to be seen.
I feel like they've thought of everything. The little touches made such a difference and felt very luxurious. Croissants in the freezer, Noahs juices and a pat of butter in the fridge along with mini jars of jams.
Easily the most luxurious, relaxing accommodation we've ever stayed at.
We cant wait for our next stay, hopefully in winter so we can make use of the fire!

We stayed at The Bower @ Broulee for three nights in March and though it was still drizzling and things were a bit wet underfoot, this is such a beautiful vacation destination and I can't recommend it highly enough. We met up with friends from Canberra there and each had our own chalet, and because of the weather we stayed in and cooked ourselves but in addition to everything else that these wonderful hosts provide, they will also arrange food to be delivered if you want from an outside caterer. The chalets are very luxurious and the birdlife is abundant but it is also easy to walk to nearby beaches with stunning views and great coffee spots with good food. You will not be disappointed with a stay at the The Bower.

This place is amazing! Quiet, private and relaxing. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is incredible! Taking a spa bath while looking at the birds in the trees is special. And the birds will come down to be hand fed. When we arrived we found coffee, fruit, fresh milk, eggs and more. There is obviously a lot of thought and care put into it and I can’t wait to return.

I can't say nice enough things about The Bower @ Broulee. A totally private and romantic getaway. Immaculate in design and appearance. Our hosts, Mark and Sue, have thought about everything to make one's stay here as perfect and easy as you can imagine: from milk, butter, jam, bread, eggs and croissants in the fridge to complimentary (fully harged and ready to go) electric bikes; from a wood burning enclosed fireplace to complimentary Netflix; from birdseed to feed Crimson Rosella's and Lorikeets on the balcony to a BBQ and spa bath. And more. I couldn't recommend this place more.

We stayed the weekend at Bower and I dont think words can justify the amazing experience. It is an absolutely special place if you are looking to disconnect from the daily grind and get super close to nature. Extremely well equipped accomodation and all you can hear are the chirping birds. A special thanks to our hosts - Mark and Sue for being super responsive with any of our queries. An absolute must for couples needing to detach and unwind!!!!!

We have been to the Bower about 4 times now and every time it is excellent (winter/summer/spring). The quality of the establishment is first class which results in a memorable experience. All Villas have very good privacy and amenities so if you just want to spend your time in the Villa then you can. The location, howver, does allow you to go exploring by foot, bike or car and so I don't think anyone that books this accomodation would be disappointed.

We have just spent an idyllic three nights at The Bower, Broulee in the red premium spa bower. We were assured of something special, based on previous reviews and photos, but this surpassed our expectations. The Bower has been cleverly designed and tastefully decorated, resulting in a haven of luxury in a natural bush setting. Sue and Mark have created a unique experience rather than just a "stay" and it was a joy to be enveloped in the serenity of the bower. We highly recommend The Bower to anyone who appreciates peace and privacy to recharge.

Thanks Jeni, We just love it when the Bower experience exceeds expectations, even though we are the lucky beneficiaries of recommendations from many of our past guests. We love your choice of words "a joy to be enveloped in the serenity of the bower" !! May we use that in our marketing? ;-) Warm regards, Mark, Sue & the BowerBirds team.
