We enjoyed our stay here, it was quiet and relaxing and the owner was very nice and helpful.
There's plenty of free parking, free internet and a lovely pool, which if you have children with you is great.
Our room was spacious and clean with bath and shower facilities, we also had a fridge which was handy, we had a TV but only local channels.
I will say I would have liked to have tea making facilities in the room or at least in the breakfast area, but unfortunately there wasn't even a kettle available.
Overall we were happy with our stay.
The good:Room was spacious, shower was ok, friendly owner. Nice grounds all around. Decent beds.
The not so good:All facilities are not in the chateau but in an annex that is not built in high standards. Poor details. Breakfast was average. Expected better, for example no ham or something to put on the pain. Only jam. Orange juice is not freshly pressed, something you expect for this price. No eggs. No fresh milk. The pool area is outdated. In short, our expectations - considering the price - were a lot higher than reality.
We had a very good experience during our 4 nights stay . The staff is very friendly and helpful. The kids loved the indoor pool which is a plus during raining season.
The rooms are very spacious and nice decorated, the breakfast always served with a smile
I definitely recommend if you come with children
We stayed for couple of nights on a family mini tour of Normandy. The utter tranquility was what was apparent straightaway snd a great selling point. First time staying in this type of accomodation for us. It's an old renevated chateau, however most of its original charm and character intact along with the necessary modern upgrades. Family run and very friendly, English speaking hosts. Our suite of 2 adjoining rooms were clean and comfortable. Shower/toilet room also clean. Small typical continental breakfast as can be expected. Our only two, small criticisms were that the Indoor heated pool was salt water for some reason which was slightly off putting and room could have benefited with tea/coffee making facilities. Good value for money and would recommend if you want a quiet retreat for a few nights however.
We stayed here twice as a stop off before and after the ferry. It is less than 10 minutes drive from the port and in the most beautiful spot. Rooms were fabulous; we had a family room with two separate bedrooms both of which were comfortable and spacious. The pool and gardens were a bonus and the children loved the goats and horses. The family were very hospitable.
