We stayed at the family room. It was large but dated. Beds were uncomfortable. Crappy TV. Bathroom and shower were nothing special. Pool is very nice. If you are not willing to walk around to the restaurants like Luna and across the street you are basically confined to the mediocre restaurant at Paras Beach Resort it’s basically a tourist trap. However there are some excellent gems within a 10 minute walk in either direction. Mom and pop coffee houses on the water with homemade pancakes and baked goods! The other advantage of this hotel is the launching spot for going to White Island is basically on the hotel grounds. The hotel is mediocre at best but it’s an excellent location.

I have loved Camiguin ever since I stepped on this island, I didn’t only fall in love of the place but Also I deeply fell in love with its people, the kindness, hospitality, and the genuineness.
Our visit in Camiguin is the best because of Paras Beach Resort. I value and appreciate their honesty , I unknowingly left my jewelry in the hotel room and I wasn’t aware of it at all until the hotel called me to inform me about it, i was able to get my jewelry back and I was so happy to know that There are still people I can trust. To Paras Beach Resort, thank you very much and I would love to visit Camiguin again and stay with you once more. I can’t thank you enough for the sincerity and honesty with genuine service you have offered to me and my family.

On an island this undeveloped it was hard to find something that looked nice for our diving holiday. The dive shop recommended Paras but we were not sure sight unseen so we booked another hotel for the first three nights then after seeing the resort, went ahead and confirmed. We had two rooms facing the pool on the second floor. They were very nice but they could take some of the furniture out to make it more spacious. Having a lazy-boy chair in the corner just gets in the way.

I am not sure what to say about this hotel. It has potential to be excellent. But it is just mediocre. The pool is very nice. The rooms are good and the pricing is OK (4,000 pp per night for a deluxe room overlooking the pool--just OK. I find hotels in PI to be overpriced for what they are, but I live in Thailand so am completely spoiled.)

First, the restaurant is horrible. Chop suey and club sandwiches are about the extent of the menu. Luckily the Guerrera Rice Paddy Restaurant is just 300 meters away. A life saver. Breakfast was almost inedible. The coffee was tasteless. The atmosphere is nice but they don't seem to understand that a restaurant can be a great profit center. No one seems to care about it at all. What a waste.

Go to Guerrera Rice Paddy or Casa Roca up the road. Transportation is easy to get right outside. The security guards are very nice and helpful.

Secondly, the bar. I have never sat in such uncomfortable seats at a bar in my life. The bar stools are the wrong height, the seats too small, and they are anchored to the concrete floor. There are no resting places for your feet so your legs fall asleep almost immediately. You can choose to sit on a table close by but the chairs are equally uncomfortable steel with no pads. Considering what a nice atmosphere the hotel has in the evening, one would think they would make a comfortable place to have a drink and enjoy the sunset and the pool. Just like the restaurant, no one seems to care or even be aware of the problem. They desperately need an F&B manager. My word, what a waste of space.

Other than that the place is nice. As I said, it has so much potential, too bad the owners don't care one bit. The staff are friendly at the desk. Kind of. We found everyone on the island--except for the taxi drivers--to be very standoffish.

We would stay again mostly because there are very few choices on this side of the island.

It's a nice resort with overlooking to white island. Staffs as usual are so friendly and helpful. We stayed there about one week and so far we receive the same treatment as we are just a newly comer. Despite that we paid luxurious price on our room still the breakfast is not free. We ordered it extra and paying it extra. Rooms don't have internet, you can access only the net at the lobby. But since we are on our vacation, we wanted to get rid out of our mobiles, so Internet access is not an issue to us. The area is clean and peaceful. The resort also offer the guests to bring them to the white island. If you don't want to go with their boats, outside the resort is the access going to that area. There are boats that will bring you there paying php450 per boat and that you also have to pay 50php for the entrance. This price was based on Dec 2018.
