It's rare, but there is honestly nothing to fault with this beautiful hotel! We stayed in a Superior Sea View Room for 4 nights, which was stunning! Great views from our balcony and the room was big and comfy.
Location is good, short walk to the beach which has many restaurants. The bus stop to Naxos is also very close and getting the bus to town was very easy (we went twice).
The pool area was lovely, food was brilliant! I had the omlette and croissants for breakfast everyday because I enjoyed it so much. We also had dinner in our room one night, which was delicious.
The best thing about our stay was the staff. They made the whole stay completely stress-free and couldn't do enough to help us and were super friendly. There are only 18 rooms which meant we got a very personalised experience and the waiter always remembered our breakfast order! They helped us book taxis, car hire and told us where to go. Naxos is a beautiful island.
It's not often I stay at the same hotel twice, but I will definitely be returning to 18 grapes and telling all our friends about it. Thank you so much for a great stay!
This hotel is a little jewel, everyone without exception couldn't do enough for us, we did upgrade our room on arriving for a little more space and it was picture perfect. In fact if you want to take a shot of your best side washed in a beautiful white reflecting light this is the place to do it, Instagram heaven!! We hired a quad nipped to the beach on it (Kahlua Beach Cafe had good beds) zapped into town (around 15 mins on full throttle) and discovered the magnetic labyrinth of lanes, passageways shops and restaurants in the old town. Bit lazy on this leg and didn't do many ancient sites, we sandwiched Naxos between Santorini and Crete and it was the perfect balance.
Stayed last week with my wife in 18grapes hotel in a premium Sea view room, we have been received as kings! Wonderful experience , helpful staff with excellent service and unbelievable kindness. Absolutely a recommandation for a stay in Naxos ! You will find hardly better ! Spaceful and modern accomodation, great roofbar where you can have lovely cocktails and romantic dinners !
We booked 18 Grapes Hotel for 3 nights, but as soon as we walked in the room, my husband said "Let's stay here 3 nights"!! I thought "what?! we just walked in" but we were so happy that we stayed for 4 nights. We had to change our ferry, flights but it was all worth it! Staff was all friendly and made us feel welcome. Breakfast was great! Chef remembered what I had previous day and remembered the way I liked.
It is just 5-6 minutes walk to the beautiful beach.
Overall, the hotel property was very nice with close proximity to the beach and restaurants. We booked a Grande Sea View Superior room for our stay. Based upon their website, we were expecting something special given the room description and images. Unfortunately the room (#7) did not even come close to our expectations, especially given the price we paid (490 euros/night). We were on the ground floor and while the room was very spacious, it was better suited for a family vs. a couple. (2 separate queen beds). Secondarily, the views were less than spectacular. Standing out in the patio area off the room to the left was a large, dusty lot which seemed to serve as a common trash depository area. Looking straight out was another open lot with a collection of buildings and a stored, covered vehicle (boat or truck?). There was a view of the sea, but it was marginal. While we expressed our dissatisfaction, nothing was done to either move us to a different room or offer a reduction in the room rate. The manager was less than accommodating. On a positive note, the staff was extremely nice.
