Nothing relaxes you more than soaking outside in a traditional Japanese onsen gazing at the forest laden with snow. This place shouts decadence!
Our room was a large studio with a king size platform bed, seating area, and 2 bathrooms. Oh, did I mention the 180 degree view?
Great for families as there is a swimming pool, mini-sledding area and buffet breakfast and dinner.
It’s remote location limits dining to the resort restaurant. For dinner there are only two options—the full scale buffet at 39,900 yen or a vending machine snack bar with ramen and miso soup. The latter was a bad choice for us but we weren’t hungry enough for the buffet.
Come to relax and spend time at the onsen.
2nd time staying in this hotel. early check in to the hotel around 3pm, the room very hot, the cold air can't blow in due to the window is small. very warm, not comfortable. ski open until 4.30pm, wait until sunset the room still very hot.
We had a family room/Japanese style. Very nice room with great view. Excellent buffet dinner and breakfast in top floor with beautiful view. And the nicest Onsen we experienced so far. All in all a very nice experience – we will come again!
- Room is big, comfortable & unique
- the skills to open the window is unique too
- sleep quality is excellent
- variety food, enjoyable
- convenience store located in the hotel
- level 6 able to find the ice cubes
Pro - Rooms are big ~ but beds crappy and rock hard (hard to get any sleep) and room dusty. Marketed as a resort which is nonsense. Skifield here is less than 100m long and only good for 3-year kids first day out..its a joke. Staff are limited, have rude attitude and stupid ~ speak no English and bottom of barrel type employees who don`t care at all. The swimming pool is terrible ~ only 15ms long and 4 meters wide. The only plus is Onsen here but its public so crowded at times. The focus is on group tourists in busloads from mainly SE Asia and China whom are one-timers and have been suckered punched by their buy-in because of a great website. Food is terrible here and nothing like pictures. Buffet at night and breakfast is best avoided ~ just low quality and lots of quantity. This is a classic case of a hotel needing new management and renovation. Avoid at all costs!
