Hotel is just ok with clean rooms and bathroom. But no electric kettle is provided in room and even wifi is chargeable. Its average experience and stay was not very comfortable with very limited variety in continentals breakfast
When you get there you're treated with a nice change from the glass looking hotels.
It goes down from there.
When we were checking-in they tell you right away that we had to pay for wi-fi (1 or 6 hours).
Then we got to the room. Very old looking. Covered in dusty looking carpet. The beds were covered with very old duvets and the sheets had holes. The tv was 4:3 and there's no remote. Instead you have a worn out 90's pad on the nightstand that controls both the tv and the noisy and dirty air conditioner. Some of the buttons only work if you press hard. There's only one plug in the whole room so good luck charging your devices.
The bathroom was clean looking but the showerhead was yellow.
Won't recommend. Actually I'll advise against it.
We were put up at this hotel after our flight to Toronto was extremely delayed. Located in the suburbs of Padova, this hotel was very welcoming and caring given the horrible situation that our flight left us in. When we arrived we were greeted by the wonderful staff. Our room was more than what we needed. A nice clean room, double bed and a wonderful spacious bathroom. We had an amazing lunch! Authentic tasting pasta and sugo! Lots to choose from with their buffet and a great selection of cheeses and salami! We had homemade wine, drinks and coffee all that we wanted. The staff was so welcoming and friendly! A group of 30 disgruntled travellers were well fed and happy. We also had a wonderful dinner! When we left for the airport the hotel packed us a breakfast to go! So thoughtful! If I was in the area again I would definitely stay here again! Al Pino Verde made a terrible situation so much better! Grazie Mille per tutto!
The receptionists will just give your room key away without checking the identity of the person. They let thief into your room. Beware ! Probably work together with them too. My luggage was almost stolen when I went for breakfast. The thief knew exactly which room was empty & the perfect timing to go to the room to steal. Luckily my group members saw him trying to take my luggage away and they scared him off . Went to reason with the receptionists and they didn't even apologize, instead they argued. Very poor attitude!
My client company put me up in this hotel as it was conveniently close to the office. Apparently a good hotel with good cuisine, but it is not. A 4 star hotel this is not.
Single rooms very small, but OK, but awful views of rooms directly facing. Ugly
My problem is this is used for Asian package holidays, so bus loads of clients arrive making a lot of noise and then waking up at 6 in the morning, and again shouting down the corridors. The hotel moved me to a quieter room as they cannot control the tourists (but moved me next to lift shaft!! quiet ha!) but another 3 coaches of package holiday guests arrive tonight and I will have the same noise in the early morning.
Internet , 1 hour free, the rest payable and terribly slow.
Restaurant: go somewhere else. I ate here the first evening of the the three nights. They tried but.....I was extremely disappointed and complained to reception. No where near basic Italian standard. Regular guests told me the next morning they always eat elsewhere so it is not just me.
Breakfast. Basic except for good coffee.
Receptionists and staff: very friendly but often unable to help.
In summary, this "4 star" has turned itself over to busloads of package deals, few visible regular customers....yet the restaurant remains empty. To be avoided for holidays or business, and only if you need a quick short sleep, or you are a member of a package bus holiday. I am sorry if this seems harsh, but it is the reality.
