Let us start with the positive side: Friendly staff
Now the negative: Rooms are big but no suits, the hotel name is a cheat. Rooms are very crude. Nothing like a rolling bar for your clothes. The fridge is under the small desk so it is unusable. The toilett with lose seat, broken shower rail and rosty tube, nothing was repaired in spite of our request. One small bag of shampoo and a soap that is all for the bathroom. The towels were not changed (though not on the hanger) nor the bathmatt which was even missing at all some days. The breakfast is more than simple: 2 eggs any style, 2 half-toasted bread with a tiny spot of marmelade, no butter, little slice of cooked ham, half small banana, that is everything you get. Towels for the tiny pool have to be paid. No hairdryer in the room. You have to rent one from the front desk for 1 USD per day! No internet in the room, only in front of the reception. It is slow to unusable. We had other hotels with more than 2 MB/s. And finally this hotel is totally overpriced.
Treetop was the best value hotel we stayed at during our trip to the Philippines. For barely more than the price of a private room in a hostel, we got a warm shower, great beds, a decent breakfast, and great aircon. There is WiFi ONLY IN THE LOBBY, which is just 4 chairs in front of the front desk in a hallway. The small pool was very nice and we enjoyed hanging out in it. Overall a great choice for a mid-range hotel.
We’re a group of 3 and stayed at Coron for 4D / 3N. We got the family room and it sure did exceed my expectations. The room has a veranda which is a plus since we need a place to hang our wet clothes from the island hopping plus it has a great view of Calle Real. The hotel’s location is a big check! It’s near everything — ATMs (BPI at the main road and Metrobank are less than 5 mins away from this place) Bars, Coffee Shops, Restaurants, the St. Augustine Church and Mt. Tapyas (which for me is a pro, since the church and mt. tapyas are included in the town tour, we saved a few bucks by walking going to the church and taking a trike to Mt. Tapyas @ 15 pesos ea).
I loved the room, it’s spacious, the beds are big, ambience is relaxing. The bathroom was spacious too, only problem was the low water pressure of the shower. We managed by requesting for a pail and a dipper.
WIFI — most of the other mid range Coron hotels doesn’t have wi-fi signals on the room. Same with Tree Top Suites, wifi is available at the lobby area only. But fortunately, my cellular mobile data has a strong signal even in our room.
Overall, I loved it and will definitely book this hotel again.
P.S. They have a small lounge pool too 👍🏼☺️
The Hotel is always fully booked. I love the location. this hotel is good for family with kids coz they have a swimming pool. The room is big and clean. The Hotel price comes with a free breakfast. The location is perfect. Everything is walkable.
We spent 4 nights in March and it was amazing! We enjoyed the pool, the island hopping tour suggested by the hotel and the great breakfast. It is just downtown. The rooms are very nice, clean and air conditioned with television but no fridge. At the reception there is free coffee.
The only little thing was the hudge noise that woke me up every morning at 5 am due to the staff moving roughly chairs at the breakfast floor and the huge noice you can hear from all doors banging because of the locks they chose for the rooms which have to be pulled and that causes a big noise. Wifi doesnt work at all you have to go to the hotel next door which are partners. A part from that the stay was excellent, beds were confortable to us, room and bathroom spacious. the ladies at the reception and the rest of the team were just lovely. Thank you!
