Arriving at Villa Rosa felt like a breath of fresh air to us. Sitting on the slopes of one of the many mountains surrounding the old city of Feltre, it's a beautiful house with astonishing views. The Dolomite mountains scrape and shape the clouds, the Santuario adds to the serenity and down below in the green and lush valley beckons the city, with its romantic old buildings and cosy piazzas. A car might take you there in 10 minutes, but we can recommend the 40-minute walk past the fields, fruit trees and typical rural buildings.

Simona and Andy are simply the nicest hosts, trying to make us feel as welcome as possible, looking after our every need. Their language skills and knowledge of the surrounding area were a welcome bonus to our stay. Simona made sure we met the other guests as well, aiding the conversation with a lovely bottle of wine and some cheese in the peaceful garden. We felt right at home.

The room provided us with a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom and a beautiful sunset, everything we needed after a day of walking and exploring. The shared living area and connected breakfast room were cosy as well.

I'd definitely recommend this B&B to anyone visiting the area of Feltre. There's plenty to see and do, good connections with remarkable places by train, bus and car and a welcoming house when you arrive after an active day out in the sun.

This is a beautiful house on a hill a little way outside Feltre. Although we only wanted a room, we were given an apartment for the same price which was lovely - no complaints! Great hosts - we were on foot so we were picked up from Feltre station, and also got a lift home from town in the evening as our host was in town too. But NB for those on foot, the house is a brisk 45 min walk from the centre of town (no bus) , and at night the route is dark. Good breakfast (toast available!), decent coffee.

A lovely historic B&B on the beautiful hillside in Feltre. The hosts are a great family with lots of helpful advice on all the things you can go and see in the area. We traveled north to see the stunning Dolomite mountains, south several times to Venice, and around the nearby area. The house is kept beautifully, and there are a variety of room types depending on what you need. We stayed in an apartment with a kitchen, and terrace which was perfect for a long stay.

Room Tip: The apartment is great for a long stay, they also have a 2 bedroom cottage that would be ideal...

Villa Rosa is a large old villa situated high on a hillside overlooking Feltre. The views from the house are lovely as are the gardens surrounding the house. Our apartment had a large bed/sitting room with a comfortable kingsize bed, bunks and a 3 piece suite. There is a small kitchen / dining room and beyond that a large bathroom. A sliding patio door leads from the dining area to a wide balcony which is shared with another apartment.
The apartment was clean and tidy but the kitchen wasn't terribly well equipped and I struggled with the very small shower cubicle which would benefit from a thermostatic shower valve as the water temperature was difficult to manage in the mornings "Ow...Ouch!"
Feltre is really interesting both historically and now. A brilliant market on Tuesday and Friday covers the town. Plenty of good restaurants and an interesting old walled town. The surrounding areas are stunning scenery and really set up for the "fit family" with walks and picnic areas throughout the national park. You should also visit Belluno, classy shops and good restaurants plus incredible escalators up from the car park if you don't get vertigo. We will go back again.

My husband and I stayed here for one night and had a great time. The room was a good size, as well as the bathroom, and it was clean! Bed was comfortable too. The view of the mountains was amazing and the place has a nice feel that you want to just sit on the porch and drink coffee and enjoy the view. The owners are very nice and helpful, they gave us a map of the town and marked it with some personal recommendations when we asked for a place to grab dinner. The breakfast was very nice and we had no complaints at all of Villa Rosa- I would recommend to anyone to go there. A quiet, intimate environment and the people are so nice!
